All you need do if you have insurance is too look it up yourself and see that you will out of pocket be increased. Unless you work for the big insurance crooks I can't understand anyone standing up for the insurance companies, we need a public option or something that will make these billionaire's stop robin us and when we get sick dump us. What's is wrong with people are you so unable to get online or read for yourself that these crooks GOP are the ones helping the greed
senator bennett's claims are unsubstantiated., i would like him to point out the page and paragraph that says existing medicare benefits will be reduced. i would like him to name the studies that show premiums will go up for private insurance.
Senator Bennett...you're an exception to the rule! Why aren't most of the Republicans seeing that we need Health Care Reform, but not by sacrificing every legal moral, man, women, and child. Stick to your guns Senator and we will back you!
the notion that republicans are now stating that health care reform is needed is a move in the correct direction. for decades liberals have been trying to improve american lives by making seeing a doctor more affordable. republicans have successfully obstructed their efforts and the result is that thousands die because of lack of care.
whether or not you voted for obama is not the issue. the issue is that millions of americans cannot buy insurance. when they are ill, they go to emergency rooms that are paid for by those who do buy insurance. it make the cost for care go up for everyone. the health care proposal gives a financial incentive to buy insurance for those who can afford it. those who can afford it but fail to buy it pay higher taxes.
not being able to see a doctor when you are sick is bad for everyone. being denied coverage because of preexisting illness is bad for anyone that it happens to. having a claim denied by an insurance company even after they accepted your premiums for years ought to be illegal. we need something done. if not a public option, then sensible coops.
If you want the other side of the story, the one no Republican will tell you, watch 2 recent videos: Sheldon Joins Colleagues at Press Conference to Support a Public Option, and October 28, 2009 CNN's John Roberts talks to Emory University professor Kenneth Thorpe about the "public option" for health reform.
