our rallyalmera braked 178hp, the mods were:

Jim wolf s3r cams, 4-2-1 header, 2,5" straight exhaust, only one muffler at the back, adjustable FPR, piggyback programmable ecu, kn filter.

depends how heavy your foot is lol it shouldnt change dramaticly i own n almera gti it was stock wen i got it apart from a induction kit but i have upgraded that for a pipercross viper a 4 branch n decat so basically a straight thru pipe n a can at the end its to noisy lol .but the answer to ur question is not much they are good litle cars

They are 143 bhp standard .buy a 4 branch manifold n a decat n a decent induction kit ul be lookin at bowt 155 160 ish or if u have plenty of mony lol u cud get some kent cams and a lighten fly wheel and chipped n remap ull be lookin bout 200 bhp

how will the 1st and 2nd upgrade options you listed impact on fuel consumption? the stock gti has a suggested 35mpg combined consumption..

Yeah go for it, corners very well in standard setup.

Well its got a 4-2-1 manifold, no cat and straight pipe from the manifold to just a single silencer at the rear.
