Maureen: Thanks for this lovely rendition. I remember well how beautifully you sang "Danny Boy" (among other lovely songs) at St. Joseph's Cathedral in San Jose, California during the Derry Boys Choir concert there a few years back, and it is that memory which impelled the search today on Yahoo, leading to the Schubert on YouTube. Eureka! At rainbow's end in Derry there is Maureen Hegarty's golden sound, as lovely as ever.

Lovely Maureen-This is one of my all time favourite pieces of music.I surfed the internet one night to see and if possible liten to who had recorded it-it was amazing,people like Sinatra,Mario Lanza,Elvis,Celine Dion,Connie Francis,the Cranberries and Pavarotti,Deanna Durbin are just a few of the names that spring to mind-yours is as beautiful a version as any.

Thank you. I uploaded this before I learned to make videos with Windows Movie Maker. I used my wee camera which picked up the sound from my CD player and had the camera sitting in front of a Christmas Card! I suppose it is not so bad considering.
