Justin Taylor is fantastic, he does so much with guitar and voice, without resorting to absolute craziness on the guitar. The music and vocals always compliment each other nicely, and he always stays true to the nature of the song. When I'm listening to his albums I often forget that it's mostly just one man and a guitar. Probably the best singer-songwriter I've heard, he really deserves to be a well-known name.

If anyone knows about recording, this is actually harder when you have GOOD equipment. Bad equipment gives you the excuse, well it could of been better, because I'm using crap equipment. But when your recording...with this type equipment.....it hears EVERYTHING....every little bad note, every little bad sound. So don't question how'd he would be with bad equipment. I'd bet money he'd still be just as good.

wow, this is some great music. I love your voice; so many guy singers have crappy high voices that sound so wimpy and strained, but yours is really nice. Very nice guitar work too, you have a very relaxing smooth style of playing and singing, but its still emotional and has a lot of meaning.

Does anyone know how he grabs that pick at 0:38? I've seen many guitarists do it, but I can't figure it out myself. I thought they were holding it with their pinky, but they're using that finger to pluck so that can't be it. I'm so confused. D:

You can clamp a pick in between 2 fingers but you can also hold it by holding one finger in a hook shape and clamp the pick in between the arch.

In this case he's only picking with his thumb, index and middle finger, it seems.

FANTASTIC!! :) This song is about his current wife before they got married, Justin (from South Africa) and his wife Amber (then very close friend from North Carolina) realized they had to go back to their respective countries. They both longed to see what could've been between them and so Justin then went to the states and promised he would be back for her! They are now happily married in North Carolina. Its a truly romantic story with a fantastic song to accompany such a beautiful occurrence :)
