  • our buggy burt to the ground last nite

  • Sounds like a real bummer. Thanks for watching

  • @macpmc That sucks. How does a buggy "burn to the ground"? what happened?

  • Cool video!! You rarely see a Roadtec paver working with a Roadtec Shuttle Buggy. Ususally the paver is a Cat or other brand.

  • Thanks for watching

  • LOL... the guys walking with their hands in their pockets are known in the paving business as "supervisors". They earn the big bucks basically doing nothing.

  • Thanks Marc, I need one of those type jobs LOL

  • Might be smelly might be hot but it sure makes it nice to drive on!!! ...Jimmy...

  • It is much nicer with new pavement to drive on Thanks

  • Awesome video Walter...love the pavers as well as trains :3

  • Thanks Justin, I like all kinds of heavy equipment

  • Thanks Jimmy it does make the ride much more easy

  • cool vido

  • Thanks Raymond:-)

  • These men must be the same the world over Walter, we get it over here, one digs a hole, one watches, one supervises one brushes up, and one drives the truck...isn't the life of the working man wonderful....well captured Walter...Bob

  • Thanks Bob, it was a constant observation when I worked at the railroad that often there were just one Indian to every 3 indian chiefs LOL

  • And its almost construction season here, lots of potholes!

  • Thanks For watching :-)

  • I got to see this all summer long last year. I saw them grinding off the old asphalt and laying the new. It Is a dirty smelly job. The smell of asphalt Isn't too pleasant, even from a far so Imagine standing right by It for 8 hours or what ever. The process I saw didn't have the middle machine but the semi just loaded It In the paving machine. It Is Interesting to see, thanks for posting Walter.

  • Thanks Dustin, the workers are probably use to the smell LOL I bet its hot work in the summer

  • I wanna be one of those guys at the rear, walking along just kicking stones, minding my own business... ha ha I've got all the necessary qualifications, like hi-viz clothing and safety boots, even got pockets on my trousers for my hands to fit into... :-))

    I can do that!!

  • LOL certainly A worthy goal LOL Thanks Paul Im sure you would mount a camera on it

  • All very technalogical Walter, we learn something new each day.

  • I agree Dave, I never stop learning stuff

  • Road construction is also a very interesting topic. Beautiful film Walter.

  • Thank you Gunter

  • Cool!

  • Thanks Chase

  • Nice video Walter

  • Thanks peter:-)

  • Hey Walter....love your vids....especially the instructional ones.....like re railing a locomotive and setting out a bad order. Anyways....the dump truck empties into a shuttle buggy and the shuttle buggy stirs the mix up cause the sand in the asphalt mix will settle....and once it is mixed up again then into the paver. If they didn't the pavement wouldn't last because of all the traffic. I drive a dump truck here in Ontario and worked with these machines.

    Big Mike.

  • Hey Mike Thanks for the good info. I am delighted that you watch my videos too Keep it between the ditches my friend

  • He couldn't fine a shovel to hold on to, lol. Me and my wife went to Topeka and BNSF has a 3GS21B in one of their Yards. It has a standard EMD Control Stand, it has an alerter button instead of an Deadmans Pedal. That thing has 2100 hp.. I did operate it, but only a few feet. My throttle jerking days too long ago. My wife said I looked like a kid in a candy store, lol.

  • LOL Im sure you was in hog heaven. Deadman pedals went a while back., Too many old heads kept them mashed down with a brake shoe LOL

  • Nice. I'll be glad when this road is done.

  • Im sure it will save you some driving time Joey Thanks

  • So that's what that machine does (the one feeding the paving machine.) One popped up in the equipment dealer down the road from me. Never seen one before... Thanks for showing the answer!

  • Thanks for watching and commenting, Maybe you can borrow it to pave your driveway LOL

  • Great shot of "how they do that"

  • Thanks Earle, I found it neat to watch
