  • Common is one of the best to ever do it. Enough said.

  • @REKWEHST1 for reals, Common is in the top 20 greatest of all time hands down. Maybe even higher. So dope so much soul and love from his lyrics.

  • fckin sickest lines ever man

"my third eye is like pink eye now its contagious"

    omfg

  • "thats your lady i use to run up in her" -favorite line in the whole song. took me awhile 2 find this version with singing at thee end, glad its still here. Nas & Common need to do a song together, its way past due two extrodinary poets.

  • Common not for the money he coulda sampled Diana Ross a long time ago

    Southside of Chicago mane

  • yo jayt u would do the same shit so shut the fuck up! he didnt sell out he just came up and is making his money. so stop hating. or maybe u should keep hating on common so he can make more money and rub that shit in ur face

  • Can anyone tell me the song at the end of this too? I need that!

  • dont worry common knows what hes doing lily allens music is real in fairness 2 her

  • You sold out by being a hater of one the greatest rappers of all time. WHy does he have to stay in a box for him to be legitimate?

You haters are what destroyed hiphop. because yall just hate and add nothing to the game

  • @youngflymista well there was not a lot to add to the golden era (90's) hip-hop it coudnt get any better, until now it only got worse so stfu. YOU ARE A SOLD OUT. peacce out.common krs-1 (theold nas) etc. vs lilwayne t.i. gucci mane. bro just stfu please

  • why does it have to be "old NAS" NAS is still reaching new heights in lyricism compared to his other counterparts. Have you heard UNTITLED......

  • @youngflymista yknow instead of saying things like "you haters killed hiphop" stick to just saying that you just like him still. The minute he started teaming up with Kanye his lyricism was just different, point blank; and in MY OWN OPINION (different than others) it was less creative. But to say things like "you haters are what destroyed hiphop" is so reaching, it's funny. Disagreements about artists never killed hiphop and you know it.

  • @youngflymista well said my friend

  • Hip Hop it self is a game of haters and competition, just like the capitalistic U.S. system that raised these rappers. Hip Hop started with freestyles, whether about real life experiences through one's own eyes or about others wack free-stylist skills and/or life to excite an audience in the form of poetry and rhymes.

  • Drake has multiple songs with lyrics from other rap artists, like the old school dead prez and little brother, and the new school artist, big sean, etc.. The sad part is that drake claims to be innovative and original (just my his rap skills) by taking others lyrics, thinking that the audience wont notice.

  • If you are a true hip hop fan that knows their old school music, you would know what im talking about. That being said, Common has the balls to speak up and put a rapper in his place. At the same time, it allows him to make money off his new album. Just killed two birds with one stone. Haters didn't destroy hip hop my dude. The radio did...

  • Is that Karriem Riggins on Drums?

  • Does anybody know whos that reggae artist at end of the mix?

  • not to sure but the person who uploaded this mixed the reggae artist on the song. Its definetely not on the original song.

  • rock and roll

  • this album has the sickest beats i have ever heard.... this song and 1'2many are my favorite.....props to common. one of my favorite mc's ever.....

  • whats the song at the end

  • In my opinion the illest beat Com has ever spit too from the songs i know.

When the intro of the album ends and Com comes in with the beat is the sickest part.

Crazy my brother aint feelin it at all.

  • Incredible beat. Great sample, No ID was truly underrated and a genius. The song he took it from literally the part he sampled it from in like 7 seconds in a middle of a 9 minute jazz song, and No ID discovered it used it and perfected it. Love the guitar.

This is currently my ring tone.

  • One of the illest beats ever made.

All beats on the "One Day Itll all make sense" album songs are ill in my opinion.

I would like to hear the original sample of invocation. Do you know what song No ID sampled for it?

  • I agree, One Day....is probly my favorite Common album. Resurrection, Like Water, and Be stand out too (I guess all his albums do too) but One Day, to me, was Common at his best. It was lyrically driven, with No ID and YNot beats, mature and immature at the same time....doesn't get much better.

The song is called Jennifer by Jimmy Ponder. It's a great jazz/blues song, the part No ID sampled comes in at about 2:38. Unreal sample.

  • Do you have the original record of the sample or something?

  • Wonder how this only have less than 4000 views...

  • That's a nice blend you did at the end of the track. Who is that?

  • hold the fuck up why sumone gave me a Negative comment FUCK ALL YALL

THIZ IZ REAL MUSIC NOT THAT SNAP YO FINGER MY GOLD TEETH GOT DIAMONDZ IN EM, HOZ ON MY DICK PIMPIN AINT EAZY BUM SHITTY MU(SICK) Na Mean

  • if only hip hop could have stayed like this....

  • If it stayed like this, hiphop wouldn't grow. I understand how you feel though. :-(

  • Growth like Lupe Fiasco... that's what it needed.

  • shut up man ur talking BS this hiphop is hiphop this is the future the past and now aight this is the shit no hoes no grills shit stuff thingy's

  • See, you're missing the point. I'm saying, you need a balance of all things. If you just had this, you wouldn't have nothing else to talk about as far as music.

  • I agree. People like to chant "real hip hop" when there's not need to distinguish. Just let the music be music. Shut up and vibe to what's being said. Like you said everything needs a balance. Without soulja boy and the rest, some wouldn't realize how good com was in comparison.

  • yo borzasistvan dis remix is dope u aint kno wat real hip hop is bitch so don't talk this is raw dis brings me back fa sho

  • i miss u hip-hop :(

  • never get tired of this track. its my most played in my playlist! "I feel mexican hip hop is my garden dont give a fuck where you chartin" Greatest of all time!!!

  • I wish most rappers now days put this much thought in their lyrics

  • cool that you added the reggea bit at the end nice mash up :)

  • Dum ass mother fucker. Pay some respect. This is not "shit" this is smart hip-hop. try not being so " threndy, or the shiznit" - what ever you wana call it.

thank god this world is full of " smart" people

  • Wow. You respond a compliment with bashing...and complimenting.

    Please think before you type

  • thiz shit iz tight
