Close look shows leg drive not being used. Yes, this is a pure press. It's time someone lived up to claims and this one passes inspection. I've seen high inclines claimed to be militaries and they're not--they still use some chest. This one's all shoulders and triceps.
Very good!! Just a word of advice for anyone getting into weight training, don't completely lockout on exercises like these. Go 99% of the way, the reason for this is that the extra 1% put a large amount of force on your tendons and ligaments, you should only really do 100% if your doing a powerlifting meet. It won't bother you right away but after 3-4 years of being an avid weighlifter doing this you'll start to feel it in your joints as time goes on.
omg really impressive! strengthful guy! i can lift my bodyweight 4 times (74 kg)
would like to know how much you could lift with clean and jerk exercise. with good technnique and training, maybe 175 kg? would be a great olympic weightlifter :)
@BlackMickey59 I was gonna insult you bro, but after looking at your picture...I can't. it's wrong to make fun of retarded folks. Yes little man u r right, and I bet mom and dad are realllllllllllly proud of you
@realmiker then it isn't a military press is it?When you dip with your legs it is called a push press and it is considered cheating when doing a strict military press.
I Like Your Style! More guys on here struggle - well just like to see what they can do, and kid themselves that its the technuiqe they state - e.g strict press, when actually its a push press, and push press when it a jerk, muscle snatch when its a press lol; i do it too so im not a saint, but YOU, you show GREAT form and show these guys how its done with MORE weight, Nice ;) Thumbs up from me! lol Beast :P
Very strong, and really strict style! This is the most impressive overhead press I have seen so far. I can do this with just half the weight at BW of 70kg.
@stevenmestdagh Ah I wish I had nice plates like those :D But then I think about the expense and I say to myself "a weight is a weight". Nice lifting! I started weightlifting with push-presses (and some strict presses) but now I'm moving towards doing strict presses and only doing push-presses maybe on the last rep if I can't manage it
well done

1 st rep must be done with no prelowering, otherwise it`s no military press, anyway you are strong
