  • Thanks for sharing your experience. Interesting to see they've left the steel beams that form the cross, wonder if they'll make it part of the permanent memorial. Too bad they're not rebuilding the World Trade Center.

  • Beautiful song. Does anybody who know the title of the song?

  • Hi, the song is by Enya - Fallen Embers. However, YouTube has now removed the music track because of copyright - which is silly, because thousands of people have heard this track on my video and possibly gone out and bought the album.

  • i may naver have been to NYC but that day was when both cop and crucks set a side there difints and fell to ther nees crying for thoghs that lost there lives on that tragic day.

  • I actually was in the north tower a year or less before the tragedy happened. I can still picture the inside of it very clearly. It actually feels weird that i was in it some months before the attack happened and now its no longer here! wow what a powerful feeling!! SAD DAY FOR AMERICANS!

  • I was there a week before it happened. But I agree with everything you said.

  • First we get The New Pearl Harbor on 9/11--you know, Larry Silverstein gets his blood money for the 3 WTCs, then super-secure Pentagon is hit by a "ghost ship 757", and then 3rd airliner "mysteriously" explodes in Penn leaving a neat little 15x20 hole--almost unbelievable, isn't it?

  • Very.

  • I have been to ground zero very quiet no one talks no horns nor do the police usually have their sirens on when going by here they usually shut them off till they get by.

  • Je vais a new-york cette ete et je vais voir les ground zero pour sure!!;) nice video!!

  • Beautiful video. Wasn't in New York, but if I go, I'll visit Ground Zero for sure. Have to.

  • Of course, for the ones who lost loved ones, passing by the site is a completely different story. I am sure for them, it will always be a sad and tough memory when around the area.

  • I was born, raised and still live in NYC. Actually, I live less than a mile away from the towers. To answer the question, no its not an "eerie" or "sad" spot, it was a long time ago. It was a horrible event, but we've gotten over it, now it's just a site under construction. And yes, they are building new buildings.

  • i was in nyc some years ago and i touched the one of the two towers

  • so sad . nice vid.

  • Niemals vergessen! Never forget!

  • I was in NY 4 months ago..and I visited ground zero..was incredibly eerie and upsetting. Dont think I could go back

  • what going to happen to the site are they building a new building or are they making a park .

  • this may be a stupid question, but do you know what life is like there now? i mean, do people try to carry on as normal? is there always talk of 9/11?

  • no if u go to gorund zero yes

  • Whats the song?

  • I Was there that day on September 11 2001 and good god what a terrible day it was, jus the fact that 2 planes went right over our heads and hit the WTC's was terrifying, i felt people dying that day, God bless the emergancy services of 9/11

  • god bless them all, i cant understand the size of it. i mean, ive never visited NYC, so i only see the videos of what happened... i cant grasp how BIG the devestation must be.

  • Take a look at my video 21st Century Vigilance, it was part of MTVs September 11th Anniversary campaign

  • Aaaah dumb 500 character limit. This is the last one, I swear.

"And just as the phoenix rises from the ashes, so too will America." -final line of the letter

  • My sister's school organized a project where they wrote a letter to the men and women firefighters and police force of NY. 4 months later, we get a call from a man with a heavy New York asking for my sister. It was the firefighter who received her letter. He keeps it in his bunker pants, and he reads it on his cwafee (that's New York speak for coffee) breaks. It was amazing to hear the highly personal story of what he experience, of people working to save the lives of strangers.

  • I misted up watching this!

I was 13 on 9/11. It was so mind numbing watching the towers fall; I couldn't believe that anyone could be so evil to senselessly kill thousands of people. But in the months to follow, I realized where there is darkness, there will be light. (cntnd)

  • I was there after the desater, I could feel the horror again, I could feel the people dying that day.

I felt in my heart, I remembered all those terrible moments. God bless the NYPD and the Fire Department.

  • its when times like these you respect cop and fdny but they are out there every day people wanna make cops look so bad....god bless em.

  • i was eight going to nine when this happen. god bless the people who died that day.

  • I was only 16 when 9/11 happened. It´s still hard to understand that it still happened. God Bless you all who gave your life that day. We will never forget you.

  • That song is so sad... Makes me feel sad.

But it's still beautiful. R.I.P all of you who gave your lives September 11 -01

One day I will be working for the NYPD.
