Still trying to cath up with all the IPv6 stuff, but it maks sense that an IPv4 firewall will let any IPv6 packet through - if the police are tasked with stopping all red volvos along a stretch of road, theyll still let any blue bikes through. My old routers firewall only supports IPv4 for example.
What you're referring to is probably that a lot of people that implement IPv6 don't take into account that their firewall needs to be modified to also filter IPv6, in addition to existing IPv4, hence their network is unsecure if accessed through IPv6.

I heard that IPv6 packets aren't usually picked up by firewalls. Can anyone tell me if there is anything true about this?
