the tone is from this guys seriously well developed embouchure. Any ole schmuck can do the finger work, but its a good embouchure that really gives the instrument a beautiful tone. Of course the mouth piece, reed, and sax count for it a bit.

wow dude...great sound. what's your setup?? that's one of the sounds i'm going for. i'm playing on a meyer 8 hard rubber with hemke 3's. i like the hemkes but i need to change out my mouthpiece. i have the guardala king on my tenor, might just go with that on my alto too.
