Blood bending could be very powerful if harnessed in full daylight or just on an average night. In the war on the Northern Water Tribe, Bloodbending would have been very useful as with the full moon and all those firebenders in the water, who knows what could have been done. I think that once mastered in pure daylight Bloodbending will be the new "Master" technique of the waterbenders such as the ligtening of the firebenders or the metalbending or the earthbenders.
