Ich will man Ef oder f 18, f16, f15, f14 mit Cobramanöver sehen. Gibt es ein Video? Glaube nicht. Vielleicht nur in Hollywood. mann muss sagen, die russen liegen mit dem flugzeug bau seit dem klatenkrieg vorne kein f-15 f-16 f-18 (super hornet) f-22 hat gegen eine mig 35... oder su-47... chace die sind wendiger gerade durch dieses manöver oder so ähnliche, in der wendigkeit kann zurzeit nur der ef mithalten (woher ich dass mit f vs mig, su weis? wurde getestet deshalb wurde die f-22 auch als nutzlos erklärt da die f-18 im dogfight gegen diese russischen maschinen besser war auserdem ist die f-22 zu teuer

Der Euro-Fighter spielt in jeder Beziehung ein paar Ligen über die MIG-29. Die MIG-29 ist 30 Jahre alt. Damals setzte sie Maßstäbe, heute ist sie nichts besonderes mehr. Das was die MIG für Flugshows so toll macht (langsame Loopings etc) ist gerade ihre Trägheit. Der Euro-Fighter fliegt, als würde er von einem Gummi hin und hergeschleudert. Die Piloten benötigen spezielle Anzüge, um das Bewusstsein nicht zu verlieren.
das ist die 29 ovt. aus diesem model ist die mig-35 hervorgegangen (jet der 5. generation. was der eurofighter nicht ist). sie u die mig29 ovt bringen anstellwinkel und eine wendigkeit, da kann der so hochgelobte EF nichts entgegenbringen. durch die schubvektorsteuerung setzt sie die physik quasi außer kraft. hast du schonmal einen EF einen cobraman. machen sehen? nein!

@Spetsnazovets considering that the superhornet has some stealth features and the C, D, E, F and G versions of the Hornet is capable of turning 9.0 G's unlike the A and B versions, Comparing the older Mig-29 to the F18A/B, the f18 had better cockpit layout and avionics. (though the mig-29 is better in dogfight remember that 4/5 of A-A kills is in BVR combat.
@JVC7400 Stealth features on any traditionally shaped plane are useless since the external weapons, multiple round surfaces, protruding sensors etc will not provide for observability low enough to fire first since Phased arrays catch targets of 1sqM at approx 100km and more.
E/F/G models are not same as A/B/C/D.
Any F-16 murders any hornet in turns and even early MiG-29 are a match to F-16 in pure maneuvering terms.
Avionics are a different story but MiG-35 has all the latest.
@Spetsnazovets I do know that the E, F, G versions are the superhornet and the growler. And i would not consider stealth features on traditional airframes useless, because then it would not be made in such a high rate. The Mig-29 is more maneuverable than the F-16 and the F-18.
Still; the Mig-35 is not in service, while the F-18 superhornet has been in service for more than 10 years. That would be like comparing a Mirage III to a F-16
@JVC7400 Stealth on modern Gen-4 plane is a gimmick really. RCS drops down to about 0.9 SqM (at best) from dead ahead. For arguments sake IRBIS can see 2.5SqM target from 400km. If we quarter the detection range in line with lowered RCS then its still 100km which is outside the missile range. From side-on RCS is heaps bigger and we are talking about no external weapons. Now add the missiles and pylons and RCS will be nice and big. Old phased array Bars will see outside missile range again.

@JVC7400 If you wish I can refer you to a website called air power australia which will explain in technical and simple terms why the stealth features on gen-4 planes are of no use. Only specially shaped planes can be genuinely stealth since its the shaping that provides near 90% of stealthiness with RAMs providing another 10%. Internal weapons carriage is essential for genuine stealth for the same reason.

Here goes: The high amount of skin incontinuities, round surfaces, 90-degree angles, axisymmetrical nozzles, movable antenna array, external weapons and fuel tanks, all are strong contributors to RCS. The only stealth features they display are some RAMs that are applied on some surfaces, S-bends in intakes, metal-infused canopy. Any others you can suggest? Don't mention IR. Impossible to suppress meaningfully.

Especially the F18 superhornet and the EF2000, comes with stealth characteristics." notice i said "characteristics". now, this does not mean that they are stealth aircraft, but they are being build to have smaller radar-cross-section. Thrust vectoring isn't that big of a deal on modern aircraft. There isn't really "dogfighting" going on anymore. Most engagements are beyond visual range with the technology of radar's and missles. The SU-37 is very nice, but would likely never get close enough to a Raptor to make it a "dogfight". Those are a thing of the past, that died with WW2.
um wth are you talking about Russia is just as good in Beyond Visual Range if not better than USAF. R-77m missile has 100 miles in range & R-37 over 400km in range! more than any BVR missile in american arsenal. The MiG-31s Flash Dance radar can detect F-117s so i don't see why it wouldn't detect a F-22. Su-35's radar is a similar in performance. MiG-35s radar is based on the su-35's radar, Su-35's radar coupled with R-77M has 85% probability of kill at 70mi & 70% kill at 150mi range w/r-37.
it most certainly would not. Now the new mig 29/ mig 35/ su 37 have perfected thrust vectoring, they almost certainly would. Maybe not the mig 29, but the su 37 would crush a f22 raptor, "in a dog fight."
Thrust vectoring is not the be all end all in dog fights. Its great at air shows. Its been around for a long time and if it was that important it would be on every plane the raptor has it, but they only felt the need for vertical vectoring. I think the builders of the raptor thought it out a little more than the You Tube community. I'm sure they are not too concerned about the SU-37. Its a nice plane however!!

i agree, during the gulf war the americans were unable to pick up the emergency transponder of a pilot, that had to bail when his plane was shot down. however, russian equipment was able to pick up his transponder, a norwegian FISINT/ELINT station was able to retrieve the information, and the pilot was saved.

das ist die 29 ovt. aus diesem model ist die mig-35 hervorgegangen (jet der 5. generation. was der eurofighter nicht ist). sie u die mig29 ovt bringen anstellwinkel und eine wendigkeit, da kann der so hochgelobte EF nichts entgegenbringen. durch die schubvektorsteuerung setzt sie die physik quasi außer kraft. hast du schonmal einen EF einen cobraman. machen sehen? nein!

@cloogerdude Considering that the only F/A-18 shot down was by Iraqi MiG-25 of REALLY obsolete specification we certainly know how well F-18 smokes MiG-29OVT. Just so you know MiG-29OVT here is a demonstrator. MiG-35 with AESA radar, OLS-35 IRST, optional TVC capability WILL run rings over both "classic: hornet (A through to D) and Super Hornet since both would see each other well outside missile range and MiG has higher maneuverability to avoid AMRAAMs. Hornet doesn't.

@JVC7400 Really? Considering that the G-loading on a hornet is limited to +7.5 no Hornet can achieve the pitch and turn rates that MiG-35 has since MiG-29/35 is limited to at least +9. With AMRAAM having less range then R-27ET/EP/ER MiG will have lots of free shots at Hornet in BVR combat.

@Spetsnazovets considering that the superhornet has some stealth features and the C, D, E, F and G versions of the Hornet is capable of turning 9.0 G's unlike the A and B versions, Comparing the older Mig-29 to the F18A/B, the f18 had better cockpit layout and avionics. (though the mig-29 is better in dogfight remember that 4/5 of A-A kills is in BVR combat.

@JVC7400 Stealth features on any traditionally shaped plane are useless since the external weapons, multiple round surfaces, protruding sensors etc will not provide for observability low enough to fire first since Phased arrays catch targets of 1sqM at approx 100km and more.
E/F/G models are not same as A/B/C/D.
Any F-16 murders any hornet in turns and even early MiG-29 are a match to F-16 in pure maneuvering terms.
Avionics are a different story but MiG-35 has all the latest.

@Spetsnazovets I do know that the E, F, G versions are the superhornet and the growler. And i would not consider stealth features on traditional airframes useless, because then it would not be made in such a high rate. The Mig-29 is more maneuverable than the F-16 and the F-18.
Still; the Mig-35 is not in service, while the F-18 superhornet has been in service for more than 10 years. That would be like comparing a Mirage III to a F-16

@JVC7400 Stealth on modern Gen-4 plane is a gimmick really. RCS drops down to about 0.9 SqM (at best) from dead ahead. For arguments sake IRBIS can see 2.5SqM target from 400km. If we quarter the detection range in line with lowered RCS then its still 100km which is outside the missile range. From side-on RCS is heaps bigger and we are talking about no external weapons. Now add the missiles and pylons and RCS will be nice and big. Old phased array Bars will see outside missile range again.

@JVC7400 If you wish I can refer you to a website called air power australia which will explain in technical and simple terms why the stealth features on gen-4 planes are of no use. Only specially shaped planes can be genuinely stealth since its the shaping that provides near 90% of stealthiness with RAMs providing another 10%. Internal weapons carriage is essential for genuine stealth for the same reason.

@JVC7400 MiG-35 has not been ordered as of yet by anyone. RuAF can't afford it yet. If India buys them as MMRCA then Russia will get some too since Indian purchase will pay for the tooling.
Take advertisement with a grain of salt my friend. Featuring some stealth features maketh not a stealth plane. F-22 is stealth and F-35 is semi-stealth. F/A-18, F-15, F-16, Flanker, Fulcrum, Gripen, Rafale, Typoon aren't stealth.
Russians aren't calling MiG-35 or Su-35 stealth for a reason.

Here goes: The high amount of skin incontinuities, round surfaces, 90-degree angles, axisymmetrical nozzles, movable antenna array, external weapons and fuel tanks, all are strong contributors to RCS. The only stealth features they display are some RAMs that are applied on some surfaces, S-bends in intakes, metal-infused canopy. Any others you can suggest? Don't mention IR. Impossible to suppress meaningfully.

@JVC7400 Frankly speaking Super Hornet is a rival to Flankers rather then Fulcrums due to size while classic Hornet is somewhere in between F-15 and F-16.
Avionics-wise MiG-29 has not been upgraded for well over a decade with MiG-35 being essentially new plane.

Вообще-то у Микояна даже был свой проект истребителя 5-го поколения, только легкого, насколько я помню. Но выбор был сделан в пользу Сухого, так как их генеральный был весьма пробивным человеком, и у них были деньги от экспортных контрактов с Китаем и Индией.
Я читал, что по науке должно быть два типа истребителя, легкий и тяжелый (например F15 и F-16/F-18, МиГ-29 и Су-27), но жадность олигархов не знала границ - сказали, что денег на 2 самолета в бюджете нет.

Thrust vectoring isn't that big of a deal on modern aircraft. There isn't really "dogfighting" going on anymore. Most engagements are beyond visual range with the technology of radar's and missles. The SU-37 is very nice, but would likely never get close enough to a Raptor to make it a "dogfight". Those are a thing of the past, that died with WW2.

R-77m missile has 100 miles in range & R-37 over 400km in range! more than any BVR missile in american arsenal. The MiG-31s Flash Dance radar can detect F-117s so i don't see why it wouldn't detect a F-22. Su-35's radar is a similar in performance. MiG-35s radar is based on the su-35's radar, Su-35's radar coupled with R-77M has 85% probability of kill at 70mi & 70% kill at 150mi range w/r-37.

Thrust vectoring is not the be all end all in dog fights. Its great at air shows. Its been around for a long time and if it was that important it would be on every plane the raptor has it, but they only felt the need for vertical vectoring. I think the builders of the raptor thought it out a little more than the You Tube community. I'm sure they are not too concerned about the SU-37. Its a nice plane however!!

i agree, during the gulf war the americans were unable to pick up the emergency transponder of a pilot, that had to bail when his plane was shot down. however, russian equipment was able to pick up his transponder, a norwegian FISINT/ELINT station was able to retrieve the information, and the pilot was saved.

To bad verybody doesnt realize, how we americans have better fighter jets, more of them, better pilots, better avionics, better weapons. the f-22 has a radar sig of a bumble bee. the mig 29 does not. the raptor does have thrust vectoring. so dont be fooled, put your mig, euro fighter, or what ever you have againts a RAPTOR YOU WILL LOSE !!!!!

haha, you have no idea what stealth is to planes huh? stealth means it's undetectable to radar. that's it. stealth in jets doesn't mean they can be invisible.

Yeah,my dad was a young leutenant in soviet air force(1969)when they were testing mig-29.I don't think there was a lot of stealth tech at that time

The variable-thrust MiG-29 doesn't really HAVE a flight envelope. Who can say what it can do? I'm sure they can take it off backward. There's probably a placard in the cockpit that says, "No quadruple backward somersaults below 200 meters".

i don't know how they compare mig-29 and eurofighter. I think euro fighter can be compared to Mig-21-93 or something but not Mig-29
