  • Looks like a good stand. Reminds one of hay grazer or sorghum. What does it yield in dry matter per hector?

  • The dry matter yield in autumn harvested industrial hemp (mid September) varies normally from 12-18 ton per hectare during south Swedish conditions.

  • very nice, i like the engine arghhh ;)

  • It's hard to tell from your vid, about how fast is that harvester moving?

  • Rather fast 6-8 km/h.

  • This industrial type of hemp is just for fibre production nothing else

  • The cut hemp is dried for some weeks on the ground and then it is baled

  • @sveneriksvensson

What time of the year are hemp harvested ?.

  • Harvest here in mid August

  • so its cut then u come along and pick it up....?

  • Yes the hemp on this video is used for fiber production in Denmark.

  • Hemp is an extremely fast growing crop, producing more fiber yield per acre than any other source. Hemp can produce 250% more fiber than cotton and 600% more fiber than flax using the same amount of land. The amount of land needed for obtaining equal yields of fiber place hemp at an advantage over other fibers.

  • Gigant's practically dont exist on you tube nice to see one for a change

  • that is a deutz-fahr gigant 400 harvester...

  • What a beautiful sight and believe it or not it is STILL illegal to grow hemp in the USA!

  • hej va e de för en maskin? steyer

  • No, it is a Deutz.
