Tradition. It's one of the trademarks of the MI State Police along with that beautiful blue. If you noticed they are beginning to incorporate led lights into the traditional bubble lights. Personally I love them.
@MsRudekid Thats all they use, I did a little research on it and apparently they have stuck with them because it allows greater acceleration than with a standard lightbar. and it improves gas millage.... they recently worked with whelen engineering to make them LED.

I just got back from it yesterday. Only thing though is that they didn't change tires. THe cool thing was is that we used the 2011 Chargers :D

A few of these exercises are LEVO exercises it really makes you learn more advance then say drivers ED.
