Great video. Something about the last few notes from the piano and the words on the screen, "you are not alone" kinda gets me choked up. Good job with the video and a great song choice.

i dont know if the bad quality was intentional, but either way, better quality would make this much better. also, making it with the Version 2 one might be good too (dunno if you'bve done one). even so, its still good. good choice of vid for the song too. i love NIN, especially both versions of this and Just Like You Imagined

the animatrix vid was a good idea, it reminds me of the song because of the confusiion of reality.

my take on the song is it describes the effects of heroin, it fucks with your head and makes you belive you are just dreaming and life isnt real...

my take is that the human species places himself on a pedestal. Comfortably ignoring the problems we create in this world and hoping they go away. We create cages of ignorance and it is our choice what side we are on...we can either see ourselves for what we are or we can live a life of lies and self-appreciating visions of granduer. Most of us are too scared to look at ourselves and what we have become.

I'd just like to add, that I first heard this song about 2 years ago (when With_Teeth came out) and fell in love with the lyrics.

This song says to me that "Ignorance isn't bliss", that whole idea surrounding the red and blue pill. Yes, you can see the truth ("see through the cracks") but would you be able to go down the rabbithole, knowing that you would leave everything behind? ("Would you find yourself afraid to see?")

Maybe Trent had the matrix in mind when writing this song.

In the first verse you hear a car driving followed by silence in the second verse, in the third a muffled crowd, and in the last verse a screaming crowd. Is it just me or is this song Trents thoughts on the way to a concert. Also backing this up, his voice if muffled until the last verse when he "gets on stage," listen you'll hear it. I think if this is true it make this song a powerful look into that man head.

yeah, i've heard the sounds you're talking about, but i have a different theory...trent had a really bad cold.... he was on his way in the bus in the first verse (the car sound), then in the second verse, he's in the store and you can hear in the background, a distant siren down a tunnel somewhere (its hard to hear it), then he takes the meds, and his congestion clears up (no longer muffled) and his body now feels better again (the cheering crowd)... lol... i'm just being silly...

Very well done on the effects and the imagery you picked out from the animatrix to fit the song. The only thing I would really suggest is probably making it less choppy. Like..the image would play then the next second stop, play, stop (I'm not talking about the loading part.)
