Im not saying they make bad boards, it's just that they're designed in the beginner price range. Originals team riders are professionals, so they choose not to ride Original.

I've been spectating Original for a couple of years now so I think I know what I'm talking about.

First, check out this video: /watch?v=p_-52fGPGbQ. Now, name one rider from this video which isn't from the Original crew. I mean, they have a crew which take care of the marketing, websites, etc. and another one for the riding. Now, the people who ride in their videos are the people who have founded Original and have been there from the beginning.

Alright, lets get to the boards them selves.

The Original Apex 37 Carbon (2011) the deck it self costing $189 isn't in the "beginner price range", wouldn't you say. It has the most advanced construction technology of all skateboards/longboards/snowboa­rds/surfboards(or other boards in general) at the markets up to date. Now this is a fact which nobody, unless proof, can argue against.

That's right, I would also be quiet if I were you.

@bulipap $189 is SO the beginner price range. Loaded for example costs $300 +. Madrid, that massproduces their boards costs $184. Yes now they have started to pick up on the more advanced construction material and molding. But almost every major brand that's not massproducing has been doing that for the last year. You can see all of that in their video or read about it on their website, but I guess you haven't looked into. Original is overrated, any experienced longboarder would know that.

They have brought longboarding from what it was (from what Loaded and others had it) to what it is today. They have made something special out of the sport. Don't argue with me about that, I've been following longboarding and the major brands for years now.

@bulipap Ah, well why won't you say that then. They have their own setup with their no-resistance trucks. So you should probably count that crap in. (Yeah I know now you can add Randals or Paris.) Youtube sponsoring them and active youtubers watching their vids and beginning to longboard for the "coolness". I've never liked original, and I probably never will. They're moneymakers, like all companies. Brands like BC and such should be the big ones. Excellent quality, custom graphics and cheaper.

Could you give me some advice, im really interested in either getting the new original freeride or loadeds new freeride board comming out ....im a lot more into the freestyle stuff but might want to learn a bit of sliding later on i currently have rayne vendetta which is actually not bad for tricks like freestyle stuff. do you think the original one will be even better thanx for any help

@bencas1000 Well as Original self said, the new freeride board "The Beast" is mostly for high speed/downhill sliding and freestyle. It is also meant to be a freestyle and flatland board but ended up being much of a speed board. Great for sliding tho.

I'm not really so sure about the Loaded board, that you'll have to ask someone else.

Anyways, I suggest you shouldn't limit yourself to one or two manufacturers. Look around a bit and see on forums like Silverfish.
