I'm getting a little lock on the folder that I mount the nfs share to (ubuntu) so I can't write to it unless I go through terminal and put sudo. I have checked it using df -h and it says it is rw. I should mentioned the share is coming from a EMC VNXe. Any ideas?
@shapedthought How did you mount the share from the emc to the computer...did you edit the fstab with appropriate permissions...how are the permissions set on the SAN it self? I need more information to help appropriately
@mstjohn33 In the VNXe all it has is read/ write, allow root which is what I have set the share to. I have just gone into fstab and put in ip-address:/ubuntu-share /home/ed/Desktop/VNXe3 nfs rw,sync,hard but the folder is still locked. I'm very very new to Linux if you hadn't already guessed!
