  • Beetlejuice Beetlejuice ......... *covers eyes*...... Beetlejuice !!!

  • How to beat Beetlejuice without him shutting you up. Introduce him to a friend.

Mary, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice *shifty eyes* BEETLEJUICE!

  • Tim Burton and Danny Elfman! Masters of creepiness

  • This makes todaes cartoons looks like CRAP.. i love u beetlejuice, beetlejuice, beetlejuice ;D

  • hay como estraño este animado....q tiempos...

  • Beetlejuice, man. This cartoon was the shiz. One of the better non-anime shows on CN for sure! I actually can't believe it's as old as it is, I mean, the film was released in the year I was born, what's up with that?

  • I remember this cartoon.

Watched it religiously when I was a kid. Beetlejuice was/is so badass. His powers were practically cosmic (would give Aladdin's Genie a serious run for his money) and I liked how he used them mostly for pranks. Most cartoon characters with his power would be trying to rule the word/universe with them, but BJ just wants to have fun. lol

He was way cooler in this cartoon than in the movie even. I sorely miss this.

  • BeetleJuice was the first (and for quite a while the only) male cartoon character with long hair. And parents complained about it. He does all kinds of bad/dangerous/gross things (which are great, IMHO), but long hair is a no no. lol

  • 0:21 - Patrick Star ?! xD

  • I miss this SO much!

  • Retro Junk?? lol

and what was that french speech at beggining?

  • I used to watch this every Saturday until it went off the air! (I'm 14 and it showed during the early 2000s)

  • @MiniMoon10 Actually it aired from September 9, 1989 to December 6, 1991, but keeps getting shown again once in a while.

  • This was a good cartoon and surprising given it's time. It was wacky and gross just for the fuck of it, with no cheesy morals or pro social messages. Totally unlike the toons of the 80s.

  • wow That sure takes me back!

  • wait what sorry but i have no idea what was happening in that begging. Whos that girl, is it liyda what are they friends now! what about the maitlands you know the MAIN CHARACTERS OF THE MOVIE. i mean wtf

  • @watermelon668 The show is completely different in the movie.

The girl is Lydia. Beetlejuice isn't a pervert or anything; he's just a mischief maker of sorts. He's friends with Lydia. The Maitlands are nowhere to be seen, and Lydia has both her dad and her real mom in the show. Also, the netherworld is referred to as the "Neitherworld" and has a whole cast of characters to its name.

I still love 'em both, though.

  • handrawn animation needs to comeback! enough with this bullshit cgi! cartoons seriously need to make a comeback. the first 6 seconds are fucking crazy! imagine the amount of acid they had to have dropped to make this!

  • omg my childhood is passing before my eyes..... atleast this explains why I'm so weird though.... XD

  • ...

Yep, that was Tim Burton's Wacky World of Wtf all right...

  • Lol..there is no chance WHATSOEVER that this could pass as a cartoon intro these days.

Sniff...Sniff..the poor little dears might be 'traumatized' or have their developmental years stunted as a result of watching anything more frightening than Hannah Montana.

Or at least that's what some of the modern eggheads and psychiatrists try to say :P

  • @gtw1983 LOLYEAHLOLJKJKJKJJK

  • @gtw1983 I know right?! everything today is soo overly technical and watered down for political correctness its pathetic! 90s cartoons kicked soo much ass!

  • Ok.

Who wants this show to come back on TV in October?

Give me a thumbs up =D

  • =' ]

  • 6-7 years of Beeltejuice still <3 it!

  • i always loved that intro and missed alot when CN stopped bcing it

  • Hey, who thinks this show should come back for Halloween?

    Give me a thumbs up.

    =D

  • omg i neva thought i c this intro again :D i used to watch this all the time as a kid

  • @katc66

    Me too!

    :D

  • Does this make anyone else feel nostalgic?

  • 5 months ago 59

Ah. Well... I attended Juilliard... I'm a graduate of the Harvard business school. I travel quite extensively. I lived through the Black Plague and had a pretty good time during that. I've seen the EXORCIST ABOUT A HUNDRED AND SIXTY-SEVEN TIMES, AND IT KEEPS GETTING FUNNIER EVERY SINGLE TIME I SEE IT... NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT YOU'RE TALKING TO A DEAD GUY... NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK?

  • Would you believe I had a crush on this guy when I was seven.... I did

  • @UglyDucklingxXx : mee tooo!

  • @UglyDucklingxXx I don't blame you at all. He's pretty freakin' smooth and so confident in himself. XD

  • @UglyDucklingxXx

    I did too!

    When I was little.

  • @UglyDucklingxXx who didnt? i mean i am a big tim burton fan, but come on he's slick, funny and freaking talented thats awesome!!!

  • I miss this and the other great cartoons. The stuff they have on now is complete shit...

  • they dont make them like this anymore...

same goes for other GREAT cartoons from the 80's and 90's

    not sure why, moronity probably..

  • they dont make them like this anymore...

along with other GREAT cartoons from the 80's and 90's

    not sure why, moronity probably

  • ....

    The hell?

  • they dont do creepy shows anymore :(

  • As much as I was creeped out by this show, I LOVED IT! I think I was 3??

  • I use to watch this all the time!

  • THIS CARTOON (Along with another 80's and 90's shows) IS SIMPLY AMAZING!

I'm glad to grew-up with these shows... rather than the nowadays cartoons that are just... hmmm... BAD, to say the least...

  • These shows were the shit!!

    today's cartoons are now shit

  • this was my favorite show

  • I miss him

  • azh porqe lo quitaron

  • oh god why cant this be the full version where it shows him as a corpse in the beginning and then he opens his eyes

  • If you're talking about the one where a beetle crawls up his face and into his nose and then he opens his eyes, that was the opening intro to the later seasons.

  • I remember watching this on ABC, Nick, & CN as a kid. I can't believe I thought it was a bad cartoon. Now I miss it. This show needs to be on Boomerang

  • Bring this Beetlejuice cartoon to DVD. I'm actually surprised that Warner Bros. and Tim Burton, who is the executive producer of this cartoon series, have not gotten around to releasing Beetlejuice onto DVD.

  • gosh I loved this cartoon...brings back memories :)

  • this opening alone beats all today's 3-D crap to dust

  • @DeadMametchi Preach!

  • haha!!

i used to see this show!!

    i loved it!!!

and i still love the movie!!

Tim Burton is the Best <33

  • This show won an award for best cartoon opening.

Can anyone guess why? It's TOTALLY off the chain.

LSD is one HELL of a drug, eh??lol

  • Agreed... The opening is the best thing of opening I ever saw. Now they just don't have that same feeling to it like Beetlejuice does.

Tim Burton has always been my favorite director...

  • loved that show so much! always wanted to be lydia <3 wonderful *o*

  • This show had the best sound effects I remember anywhere.

Example, when a smile turns to a frown

  • i like the actul movie better

  • WOW im surprised that i even remembered this show

  • I remember this

    burton <33

    ah... those were the days.

  • I was actually browsing forums on another website and they had him on the signeture and it made me wanna look it up. God, I remember watching this show when I was younger. But I think I started when it barely went off air. We also have the movie :D

  • Dude, I know what you all mean. I watched this show as well, and I loved it

  • this takes me back i used to watch it as a kid all the time. i wish they would put back on tv

  • Is he in his imagination before his name is called? Ive seen 2 other ways it begins. There's 1 I haven't seen in over 10 years when I was little, so I don't remember any part except when he's wearing a hat and holding a cane and dancing saying something like good doggie, good doggie, then gets pulled with a much bigger cane, but the music is playing, so of course we don't hear him. Also something catches Lydia's eyes and she points; a man screaming while in somebody's shadow... Have you seen it?

  • yes I remember!!! wow...memoooories!! from the bodom of my heeeart........lol

    I that show...that and animaniacs

  • lol i remember this cartoon, back when cartoons were actually funny. Now they're just retarded.

  • I disagree, Invader Zim and The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy own. (Invader Zim much more than the latter.

  • EEE gad, I remember watching it when I was younger, seeing the first episode when it aired and everything. My mom wanted to go to the store and being younger (i think about 7 or 8) I had to go with her. but I remember being soooo mad that I didn't get to watch the newest episode

  • invader zim...billy and mandy???? What are you seven? those shows suck. My child hood favorites were scooby doo, AHHH! Real monsters, Doug, and the rug rats

  • i know billy and mandy suck

  • thank you!!!! Finally somebody agrees with me

  • Yeah I wonder, why make the show, that's not horror comedy, it's just plain gross.

  • whatever! It's dumb

  • HES SO SILLY

  • 90's cartoons were definitely the best.. ahh, I miss the good old times ;___;

  • God, I loved this show.

I was tiny when it aired but I loved it anyway. Then it reran and I loved it again.

  • Oh how I miss those cartoons D:

    Now we have thost half assed ones on cartoon network ; A ;

  • 90's cartoons rocked

  • I loved this cartoon when I was little!

  • My parents don't like me watching scary, goth movies... They think that they're strange and unusual... Though I myself am strange and unusual...

  • My Parents Think That too and Im strange and unusual

  • totally awesome!!

  • phew, I thought I was the only one at first...

  • my parents used to not let me watch this....i don't know why.....i don't see anything wrong with it....

  • Dude, that was the awesomest show EVUR!!!!!!!

  • Beetle Juice X3

  • Actually the show was based off the movie.

  • yeah

  • It was first aired on ABC from 1989-1991. I used to watch it on Saturday mornings. I miss the shows that were on when I was little...

  • me too, man. Me too.

  • who doesn't ;)

  • maybe someone like my sister, she doesn't remember it at all...

  • What was the girls name on the show. Didn't he call her "babe" or something?

    her name was lydia

  • When I was a kid, this show creeped the shit out of me.

  • I loved this show!!! What happened 2 it?!

  • Such a great cartoon. I loved it as a kid.

  • theres never been a greater cartoon

  • jo,precioso.XD

  • I remember he had this neighbor who was more or less a gay French skeleton whom Beetlejuice absolutely despised. I'm sure there is some underlying joke about closets... how you can have skeletons in them and how some people come out of them as well.. maybe I thought too much into that.

  • Haha funny interpretation

  • totally agree! Beetlejuice rlz! It remains my my childhood, when got up early and watch it :) Ehh those were the days...

  • Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon used to have such good shows... now they're crap.

  • I wish I had watched this more as a kid. Now I miss it.

  • same here :)

  • i've never seen any of the Beetlejuice shows, so the openings are the best i get. :(

    what are the like???

  • I saw every show. They are beutiful :´(

  • It was simply Tim Burton plus Cartoon. It made for an awesome as hell combination. Much better than Invader Zim.

  • No1: at the begginig of the video, beetlejuice makes an exression that looks like the grinch O.o

No2: the begging of the video is in french XD

    No3: I luv this video!

  • This show was awesome. I miss it. I remember my Mom telling me I couldn't watch it because it was evil. LOL I thought it was awesome, even at 4 and 5 years of age. Haha! I guess I'm evil or something...damn.

  • it's not evil!!

  • sexy man !!!! :D

  • god i miss this show soo much...

  • This is my favorite opening. Makes BeetleJuice scarier and just my overall fav.

  • memories!! I had repetitive nightmares of beetlejuice as a kid!!
