i really need help please help rich3rd. Im stuck in a user named slitez and im trying to run on my normal pc, remove the iso cd, and smash it with a hammer and never screw myself again. i cant run from my normal pc and i don't know anything about this. please help!
Pretty sure i found my problem. I have a RAID 0 array with 2 hard drives on my computer and so when OPHCrack tried to read only the first hard drive it got unreadable data. It says it cant find a windows installation. So if anyone else has this problem with any other type of RAID array then please tell me.

I am starting a small computer repair business. Do you know if this is the most streamlined way to get people back into their computers if they are locked out? Also, have you ever broken a computer from doing this? I really freak out any time I see people mess with the registry.
When I type in my password it says that the username of password is bad. From there it won't let me log into that account which is my only Admin account. This totally worked for what I needed it for! I was given a computer that had only the administrator user account available. The account was password protected and I couldn't access anything. I followed the instructions starting at 3:30 as recommended and I was able to enable a new administrative user and change the old account to a standard user with all access as the administrator. Thanks a bunch!
@0rangaStang you could make a new account, or activate the admin account, or change a password, without the need of burning cd's or anything like that. Just by using cmd. If you need help, PM me.
On the other side, such cd's are actually very handy, for example: BackTrack 4. Takes a DVD, cause it's 1,8GB, but it's worth it.
So question My dad actually works at microsoft in the security development department in Redmond. Now he thinks little old me a 17 shouldnt have an admin account. would Ophcrack find his password. Note: The password for my last computer that he gave me was Fr0$tByte so I think it would probably be like that. Would it find it or is it to hard.
your are SOL if his password is anything close to that. If you cannot do the Target SAM thing I talked about then you are kinda screwed. Although you can delete his password, which would be susspicious. google linux live cds for deleting windows passwords

To be honest I'm not entirley sure and do not have time to find the answer. Why don't you just take the 10 minutes to delete all the stuff you do not want on the account.

First of all you spelt dosn't wrong. Also the video does help if you have an installation CD, which is clearly stated in the description and video. In no way was this video intented to help those without a CD drive so do not complain that you can't get a CD.

@wtd17 not sure if I understand the question. If your asking when you put the installation disk in, you have to do it before you restart your computer. Hope this helps, if not feel free to ask again.

open the cmd by going to start/vista/windows7 orb then all programs/accessories/cmd. Make sure you run it as an admin by right clicking it and clicking run as administrator.
once the cmd is open type "net user" (no ") Hit enter. Find you brothers name and type
"net user brothers name password" (no "s)
for example if the account name was hi and I wanted the password to be bye it would look something like this

@WizdGee I believe the word you are looking for is restore. If your want pm me with a number to call and i can see what i can do to help. If you don't feel comfortable with that( i know i wouldn't) try to see what comes up sheen your start your computer. Try repeatingly pressing a different f key( f1, f2, etc) and see if your get a restore menu.
@PaperAirplaneTutor Look in the description to see how to reset your bios password. Then change the boot order in your bios to boot from the cd first.

@thabossnigga93 Skip the OPHcrack part of the tutorial and just do the part with the windows installation cd and you will be fine. Let me know how everything turns out.

yes you do all windows computers do. you need to check again. If you still believe you do not have a system 32 folder then make a video showing me you do not.

go to start (vista/windows 7 orb) , all programs, accessories, and right click on cmd and select run as administrator.
type this command exactly as shown and hit enter.
Net user administrator /active:yes
if you do not have access to an admin account I think you are screwed. You let your dad patch the only exploitable way to unlock an admin account. Sorry and hope this helps.

The problem is that as a limited user you are not able to download anything, and you can not run any programs without knowing the password of the Administrator.

Hey I forgot my password to my windows 7 netbook. I tried booting it off from a usb. It worked fine. I got to the point from ophcrack where it said cannot find any tables? Do i need to download any special tables or where should i load it from? Any help in tat?
I already have an admin priviledge but forgot password. When I used the Ophcrack it showed an admin acct empty and it showed my account as not found. When I followed thru changing 11 to 10 the 10 is already on the admin profile. I tried changing the 10 back to 11, rebooted, but didn't change me as an admin. when you start the computer keep hitting f8, when a screen comes up with options navigate to boot in safe mode and hit enter. then log into the administrator account and change the password of any account.
I have tried this, i downloaded the liveCD and burned it on a CD with expressburner, i rebooted my computer and BIOS booted from the cd, i clicked at the first, automatic graphic mode (or something.) And when it have loaded from the file and when it has started a black box comes up and says "no tables found"

That shouldnt happen, make sure you followed every step down to a T. If you still are having trouble record a video of yourself doing it and send me the link to it.
you need the disk because the target sam file is in use once vista starts. The disk lets you open the file because your running the command prompt off the disk. If you call Microsoft and give them your product key they should sell you a very cheap vista disk(which are already cheap thanks to windows 7 being released)

If the admin has a password, someone probly knows it and dosnt want you to be an admin. Research linux live windows password deleting cds. They are the only alternative when the admin has a password. (or a format which you probly dont want to do)

well, the OPHcrack can be burned onto either a dvd or cd. But skip that step, if you notice it dosnt do anything but show you that there is not an admin password. If you CURIOUS then do it. But if you wanna get to the point and use the admin account go to about 3:30 in the video.

When i try to bot from CD it says

yes you do all windows computers do. you need to check again. If you still believe you do not have a system 32 folder then make a video showing me you do not.

HELP, i did this and worked perfectly, thanks by the way. but now my dad disabled the administrator account somehow and so i did the same thing but the 11 u change to 10 is still 10. if i change it to 11 and then bak to 10 it does nothin. plz reply, thanks

@Rickmart96 go on someones account that is an admin.
go to start (vista/windows 7 orb) , all programs, accessories, and right click on cmd and select run as administrator.
type this command exactly as shown and hit enter.
Net user administrator /active:yes
if you do not have access to an admin account I think you are screwed. You let your dad patch the only exploitable way to unlock an admin account. Sorry and hope this helps.

@baileykylewhite what did, the vista/ windows 7 installation disk, or the ophcrack cd. if it was the ophcrack cd forget about the cd completely and start at the point in which i put in the windows vista/7 installation disk.

The problem is that as a limited user you are not able to download anything, and you can not run any programs without knowing the password of the Administrator.
You are actually unable to do anything.

Hey I forgot my password to my windows 7 netbook. I tried booting it off from a usb. It worked fine. I got to the point from ophcrack where it said cannot find any tables? Do i need to download any special tables or where should i load it from? Any help in tat?

skip the whole part with ophcrack and start from where I boot the installation disk. Everything should work out fine.

I already have an admin priviledge but forgot password. When I used the Ophcrack it showed an admin acct empty and it showed my account as not found. When I followed thru changing 11 to 10 the 10 is already on the admin profile. I tried changing the 10 back to 11, rebooted, but didn't change me as an admin. How do I access the other admin acct that showed empty? Has anybody found a solution other than formating the whole drive?

when you start the computer keep hitting f8, when a screen comes up with options navigate to boot in safe mode and hit enter. then log into the administrator account and change the password of any account.

I have tried this, i downloaded the liveCD and burned it on a CD with expressburner, i rebooted my computer and BIOS booted from the cd, i clicked at the first, automatic graphic mode (or something.) And when it have loaded from the file and when it has started a black box comes up and says "no tables found"
What is the problem? And i did it on my Vista laptop.

just skip the OPHCrack live CD step. It is unnecessary and I regret putting it into the video because it seems to cause more confusion than anything.

you need the disk because the target sam file is in use once vista starts. The disk lets you open the file because your running the command prompt off the disk. If you call Microsoft and give them your product key they should sell you a very cheap vista disk(which are already cheap thanks to windows 7 being released)

If the admin has a password, someone probly knows it and dosnt want you to be an admin. Research linux live windows password deleting cds. They are the only alternative when the admin has a password. (or a format which you probly dont want to do)

your most likely not on the admin account. Try changing the 10 to 11 rebooting, and see what happens.

well, the OPHcrack can be burned onto either a dvd or cd. But skip that step, if you notice it dosnt do anything but show you that there is not an admin password. If you CURIOUS then do it. But if you wanna get to the point and use the admin account go to about 3:30 in the video.
