  • i only like da last 6 or 7 secs it sounds like another song

  • 4:33 I spontaneously started chanting "Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, Party, Party, Party, Party"

  • john u r amazingly talented but i just cant seem to figure out the point to this song. i want to but i cant find a meaning. if anyone can explain it that would be great :)

  • Dear John Reuben, Is the song at the end, taken from another song??? Because it has an extremely awsome dance beat. I can't get enoughf of it. What is the name of the song in the end??? If it is not already a full lenth song, then Please, Please, Please, make it into a full lenth song. THANKS!!!

  • 3:29

micheal jackson back from the grave!!

  • im so the guy in the suit!

  • It's a dangerous place, to be paid to motivate!

No truer words have ever been spoken by a singer, John you truely are intelligent and witty with your beats/raps/lyrical word play. You don't shovel crap, you give me brain food. It's a shame the rest of the world is into that "hollow music".

  • i don't like rap, but John Reuben is definently changing my mind! He's got good beats and a REAL message! :)

  • @Okashism We like to call him a modern day beatnik poet...unique!Love John.

  • This is deep! And very fudging awesome.

  • Wat is the song at the very end?

  • @awaba1 it's a small part of "come on jamboree when the radio makes you lonely"

    love this guy!

  • Liking this! And, the black girl is rather shapeless, but she is gorgeous!

  • Creative album.

  • I'm not really surprised. I like it.

It's interesting to see so how much more criticism a christian artist must face. I'm not surprised that it finds its way into Mr. Zappin's music and videos. What interesting shibboleths the cultural divide has created in America.

  • This video is brilliant...

I do find it annoying however that I can't buy the CD until December!

    BOO!

  • can't wait for the CD to come out, man.

  • anybody know what the chorus says?

  • Who rocks the show so it's good to go?

Put the money in the bank and tell the crowd thanks

(Come on, jamboree. Nickel and dime, music machine)

Even if it's a tough pill to swallow

    Entertainers, role models

    (Cow bells, tambourines. Somebody's listening)

  • I think you are being to obvious and pedantic here.

Anyone who begins to believe there own hype is destined for destruction- Samson, Solomon, the list goes on. But then again the Bible is full of immodestly dressed women and visceral imagery.

  • dude

    google satire

  • Well surely if you are a John Reuben fan you know how controversial he likes to be with a Christian Perspective.

The ladies were dressed a little loose, but It wasn't really ALL that bad. Perhaps John did push the envelope a little too much but that's no reason to be on his case by it.

Besides the ladies were probably intended to be dressed in such a way to show the monotonous idea of beauty for it's cold, inhuman, and repetitive nature. (I will continue in a different comment.

  • The ladies look rather unfulfilled, depressing, and unenthusiastic.

This was likely done to show the idea role model that the world sets to be rather pointless and disheartening.

The imagery is typical for John reuben. He likes to be weird and this shows what the obsession of being like the really idea people are can lead to. How it leads to a death of individuality and yourself, yet your still alive physically.

(I will continue in one last comment)

  • Finally the ladies were taping him up, and forcing him to drink that alcohol because that could easily symbolize how our BAD role models inadvertently make us feel forced to do certain things we don't want to do. The taping up would represent how trapped we feel when it comes to try being like those role models.

Idk I just heard a part of the song from what I listened and I am very sure that's what it's all about!

  • If you look at the story, the women seem to represent the lifestyle many fall into while famous.

Always hanging around him, getting in the way when he is getting out a good message, tying him down to a chair and taping his mouth shut rendering him unable to speak, they also try to force alcohol down his throat.

They bury him in the end. I believe this represents what happens if you let fame get to your head. John is down to earth, and he is staying that way.

    The girls here represent evil.

  • Obviously he is representing how sex and drugs/alcohol may seem fun like a big "jamboree" but eventually they take over your life and kills your true self. This song is showing what happens when you have no self control. He says at the beginning "sex, drugs, or self control" to represent the choice people have to make between choosing one of these options.

  • love the ending!

  • kinda weird video, but i kinda like it lol

  • this is the coolest thing i have ever seen

  • freaking sick video I wonder if one of the girls in the video is his wife?

  • Now thats some John Rueben. Nice nice I had to play it twice. More deep phat beats and bass and less Disco on the next serving please...

  • Awesome vid!

  • sweet tune! :) addictive.

  • I agree with everything you are saying. And I think like most fans of JR, one of the reasons i cant get enough of him is because of his intelligent lyrics. Maybe you can enlighten me to what these lyrics are about. Dont get me wrong i am JR CRAZY, i estimate im his biggest fan in Australia :P

    Cheers.

  • Wow, this video is awesome.

The Bob Dylan of Hip Hop he is!

  • amazing! the excitement for this cd is through the roof! this was a great video!

  • God isn't in every song. He doesn't have to be. I'm fine with him. his Message is still a Christian message. He doesn't cuss he doesn't talk about hookers or robbing people I'm fine with him.

It seems To me His last couple of albums have been self exploratory. This is what Christan Music needs to be. Smart and intelligent and not afraid to tackle issues. Now if the replies are stupid or pointless I won't continue this discussion.

  • you've reached an all new level of weirdness, Reuben, even by your standards. Good work.

  • John...your a freakin genius! I love your work.

your lyrics stand alone as poetry, even without a beat.

    Best rapper ever!

  • nice vid

  • John Reuben is an odd genius.

  • sounds good

  • John Reuben is awesome. I really like the song Confident cuz my sister plays the flower girl haha.

  • Man, every time I got on the computer, I'd watch this video and listen to this song. Now I can listen to it and watch it on YouTube! :D I love you, John! This song is AMAZING.

  • Brilliant

  • How did you get Alon to be in your video??

  • Where was God? .., if you believe he's omnipresent, you could say he was behind the camera.

  • although...hmm..where was God?

  • good stuff John!!! Keep it going! God bless...

  • first
