The economic viability of these kinds of projects ought to be determined before the program is expanded and rolled-out statewide. Don't you think?
@yogiTV The total budget for the latest Solar Highway Project, the Baldock Rest Area is about $1.3 million. SunWay 1, LLC will be funding the project, and ODOT will buy the electricity produced from the installation. ODOT will pay no more for the energy than it would otherwise pay PGE for power to light the interchange, which is now about $0.06 per kilowatt-hour.
