That's how you mix the universes together, the Doctor's travelling around the universe, is walking through a market on some distant planet, and gets mistaken for Mal by a bounty hunter with a vague description of who he is looking for (brown coat, brown sticky-uppy hair). The real Mal comes to the rescue, and the rest is history. They wouldn't get on straight away, but I can imagine them reminiscing about being soldiers when everyone else is asleep aboard Serenity.

@huntsman35 Haha well exactly, that's why I said they wouldn't get along right away. They'd be stuck together for some reason though, perhaps traders or the Alliance have stolen the tardis, and the Alliance are after the Doctor, so he has to lay low with people experienced with dodging them. Eventually the Doctor would see Mal is a good man, and maybe Mal would try it his way for once.

@imamadmad1 i really hope u r not a troll . Firefly is , or rather was , a space sci -fi tv series , the best in my opinion and that of many others . It has gained mythical status ever since it was cancelled as fans have gone hoarse trying to convince the network to bring it back.

@imamadmad1 It's easy to get hold of the whole series on DVD now because the fans made such a massive drive and forced Fox, the cancelling bastards, to put it out. It's fucking fantastic and I implore you to buy and watch it! It's unique, funny, exciting and unlike anything else.

he is genuinely one of the best actors dritain has today. the reason he and chris ecclestone got the part was because of they skills. and knowing a close frind of davids i can honestly say that he really is that good. and joss would be lucky to have him in one of his shows and we the viewers would be even luckier

Wow, you sure don't like RTD. What I like about him is not especially DW or sci-fi related, I like his ability to present extraordinary love stories on screen (I'm such a romantic). And Joss is a god, no question about that (call me groupie #2 ;-)
