  • @jasoncpowell No problem man i know what you mean its real fuel for the gym lol. this video really encouraged me to continue the fight to become an amateur bodybuilder or at least look like one. getting the calories in for a bulking diet is much harder than the gym itself! haha

  • @twelvemonkeys12 You got that right! I agree...getting in all the calories is harder than any workout! The Summer heat makes it even worse! But, we do what we have to do ;)

  • You have one of the nicest built I've seen on a natural body builder. I'm 5'6 180 pounds(not ripped but, only 30 inches waist, so not fat either). All natural. Most of the folks don't realize the size they often described they want is easily achievable with some dedication and planning. I'm 25 years old, hopefully in a few years I can get some where closer to your achievement.

    Without steroids, hard work, good technique, dedication and good nutrition you can do that ;) Sure, exactly how massive you get depends on your genes, too, but you can get a long way either way.

    do you take pre-workout, during workout, and post-workout shakes?

    I aplogize beforehand for so many questions..

    I take preworkout: ~20g dextrose, ~10g wheyprotein, 50g complex carb 1-1.5 hours prior, NO+caffeine 30-45 mins prior

    During workout: ~10g BCAAs

    After workout: ~45g dextrose, ~30g wheyprotein, 5g glutamine, 5g creatine

    Im 210 lb's, 6'2

    I really want to know how YOU do it though.

  • All I do is 5g Glutamine and two caps of Aminos from Optimum. After workout, I just take in about 45 g of simple carbs...the rest is the exact same all day.

    I do use either IDS' or ON's whey protien...the NO2 products and such, as well as creatine just dont work for me...I get gas and no benefits.

    I hope that helps....or confuses you more ;)

  • Thanks! I tried the NO2 and creatine products...but never had any results from them...I have also been a part of conducting studies on them. Not very promising results. About 18% of all men and 4% of all women will react with creatine...if you are a lucky one, take it now and forever! If not...save some serious cash!

    I use my education (2MS Human sciences and a PhD candidate) to build my diet and construct my training regimen. I've been lucky so far! LOL

    I see that you're doing extremely heavy DB flyes for chest, altho not with arms far extended, but still...HEAVY.

    Do you recommend flies be done that way? Cuz you must be doing something different to have a chest like that....

    Any additional recommendations (for chest)would be greatly appreciated, thx so much in advance! :D

    I see that you're doing extremely heavy DB flyes. Do you recommend those over presses? I mean you have got to be doing something different to have a chest like that.

    I can also see that when your doing the flyes, you dont stretch out your arms much, do you recommend flyes in that fashion?

    my pelvic structure is a bit bigger than most so I want to create a bigger chest to balance it out, any recommendations? Thx a lot in advance.

  • I have done NO PRESSING movements since 2001! I rely on all fly movements and have worked up to doing flyes on heavy day with the 140's!! I am a stickler for proper bomechanics...to keep it short...if it is chest day..I want to work chest, not shoulders, triceps or anything else. I like to be as efficient as possible in the gym.
