You could make your own formation and plays. Create a stadium without having to relocate, Madden is the only game I know that took features away instead of adding more! You also had player progression every 4 weeks,had practice/training durning the week were you could add ratings to important categories like throwing power, ect., now we have "expanded pre-season rosters" yeah real sweet,give me a damn create a play feature or let me build the lions a outdoor stadium without having to relocate!

i got ncaa 05 and i found out u can take the draft class and put it to madden so once i get madden i can go all the way up to madden 09 withthe draft classes, just some created players in there though

Damn I really miss this game... this was definitely the best Madden with the introduction of the "hit stick." Madden 06 just turned me off to all Maddens with that QB vision. I know they removed that now or it's optional but it just shows how much they're trying to change the game with fancy tools. I loved this game. Every minute of it.

if i remember i only got to year 4 or 5, but he played 3 seasons and i was in his 4th when i stopped to play '06 ,but my 6th franchise year overall. he had something like 22 in his first year, 25 in his second and 29 in his 3rd, but his stats wasn't too great, he was'nt quick, hi was 6'0". he didnt have great rb's, or another great receiver, it was just him. his qb was leftwiwich, shit but his numbers was high and was the 2nd best qb every year due to james. i still got the save on my ps2 lol.

madden '05 was the best madden ever, '04 being the next one. '05 was practically perfect, it took elements from '04 and made them better with less bugs. in '04 vick was my favourite, for onvious reasons. '05, i had two teams. i controleed the seahawks and played with them, jaguars i did everything but played with them, i simulated their games. there was a reciever i drafted 15th overall for jags, james mcdaniel, and he averaged 2-3 td's a game. he never scored less then 22 in a season.

Madden 05 was the best in the series. Look on the opening kickoff, you had two Giants players knocking down the Bears kick return man. In Madden 11, it would've taken probably four defenders to make a simple tackle. WTF, EA!?

2005 might have been my favorite Madden game. I started a franchise with the Steelers and my first five seasons in, it was Steelers VS. Seahawks in the Super Bowl every year. Then a year later when it was Steelers VS. Seahawks in the Super Bowl in real life, I nearly shit myself. XD

I don't like madden 05. Whenever the ball is punted to me, the person who is catching it almost always fumbles. And whenever the other team fumbles or catches the ball out of bounds or something, they just review the play, and say that it doesen't count. it was REALLY frustrating...
