It's so powerful that it's such a normal romance, nothing spectacular, nothing Hollywood, just 2 people who have their flaws and sometimes get too wrapped up in the drama of their relationship so they make rash decisions. This is a movie for people who are Joel or Clementine.
i can understand why people would want to undergo the memory erasing procedure, but the reality is the passage of time dilutes and weakens all memories, no matter how powerful or significant. If you want to forget someone, simply stop talking to them, and wait some years.
This scene always gets me. Between the house disappearing right from under them and the brilliant acting and classic lines, I can't help but cry. "I wish I stayed."
I agree...very emotional moment...i love this movie soo much...always makes me think about love and relationships... mr nobody and eternal sunshine are my favorite love movies so if u didn't wach mr nobody i suggest you to tacke a peeped :)
@poster6322 not really. i didnt call you out on your comment, i called you out for forgetting life is subjective. just because someone doesnt like a movie doesnt make them wrong for it. also my sentence structure was fine. your spelling however is a different story; wasted* go around a comment rape people with poor sentence structure. all i can say is lol. and its hypocrisy.
@IVIathemagician alas, you poor sap, the spelling, it's an error caused by auto correct. But you go ahead and feel tall for getting one right in life. I'm proud of you. I don't know you and am probably better of for not engaging in a useless argument with a twit who likely is sitting in his mom's basement wondering how he can feel important. I wish you the best in your future "opinions" and cutting and pasting your comments in "Word" doesn't make you smart Dork.
@poster6322 lol my moms basement? try my apartment at the university of michigan school of law. also, i never started anything, i simply said what a pitiful hipster like comment you posted. also its off not of. i am not posting anything into word, i simply am not 2 years old so i can type without making spelling errors. and you call my comment an opinion yet you bash others for their opinion on the movie hahaha. you sir are pathetic. this move is amazing, yet you are a piece of shit.
@IVIathemagician 1. Uof M huh? Michigan Law huh? See that's the sad thing about these little trivial battles...you can say whatever you want and one simply has to go on the honor system with their credentials. I'am over that. I am far more educated than you, based on your admission above. Allow me to strike your next ignorant attack. Spelling errors happpen especially in these type of forums you tool, but c'mon man, you don't even have the common courtesy to capitalize your almighty University.
@IVIathemagician oh and one more point. My comment in the begining of all this had nothing to with you. It was intended for someone specific. But lastly, don't waste your time responding. I don't care to hear from your dorky, weirdo, creeper ass. Seriously what student at "Uof M" stays up all night arguing with a stranger. Get the F*** outta here.
@poster6322 lol. i am or i'm not i'am. and i dont capitalize for a reason. why capitalize a proper noun if i am not capitalizing the pronoun I. and your comment didnt have to do with someone in particular it wasnt a reply to anyone. Stay up all night? its 9pm and ive sent you a few messages over the course of a week... ahahah, keep trying to save your argument. just stop though. because i am sick of you. you are ignorant.
@IVIathemagician Oh, you're THAT guy huh? aren't you doing the exact same thing you waisted the time to call me out on? Go around a comment rape people with your poor sentence structure. You have no idea who I am and that my friend is IGNORANT. Hypocrocy SMH.
I wasn't going by critics' opinions. I know the critics loved it. I just simply meant that a lot of people don't even know about this movie surprisingly. Maybe underrated was a poor choice of words...
"Come back and make up a goodbye at least, let's pretend we had one." did it for me. The fact that he wanted to say goodbye to her despite everything being erased like nothing happened. This film is too damn beautiful.
it's just the best scene in a movie ever... the whole concept with the sand and the erased memories who are falling apart, the acting, the music.... pure genius and pure magic..
Such a perfect scene for a perfect and underrated film. The music at the end when he's in the car passing thru the memories is absolutely breathtaking...
