Absolutely astounding! I couldn't believe my ears when I first heard her singing. Come to think of it, anyone can sing, but only few deserve public attention. Jackie is definitely one of the very few. I will follow her progress with great deal of attention. I dare not to think how great she will become when she turns 20.

@matosc Most people like Jackie's hand gestures, and Jackie has stated that she makes these movements to stay connected with the song, and to portray the emotion in each song, and I think she does a fantastic job of doing so. I find it much more appealing than someone who is standing like a statue and singing.

It's not just that she sounds older than she is.... its that she sounds better. In fact you can forget about Jackie's age. There isn't anyone that she has sung with, regardless of age, that she hasn't been equal to or better than . As a matter of fact there isn't anyone out there in the music industry whose place is safe with Jackie around.

I wish she would hold them still or do something different!" but not fully on her voice. This is a simple thing about vocal performing technique. We all have to work on it! She will get better with time if she gets a good vocal teacher that will teach her how to perform correctly. I think the problem she will face is how she ages with her voice.

@HotRodder2100-Ya know buddy, I think it should be explored whether Jackie should be allowed to, or she should insist on using a portable headmic, for her concerts. I know it is traditional for classical concert performers to use a standup mic, but I think Jackie's voice and performance would be enhanced with a headmic. I love the freedom she has here, with her arm and body movement, which really allows her to get into the rhythm and tempo. I also think she is much more relaxed here.

I think Jackie mentioned one time in an interview that she prefers the head mic, because it gives her the freedom to move her arms, which she loves to do, and which her fans love to see as well. I agree that it does enhance her performance, and allows her to become one with the music, and portray the emotion in the song beautifully. She does appear to be more relaxed whenever she has a head mic. I'm sure that most venues would allow her to use one.

@matosc Most people like Jackie's hand gestures, and Jackie has stated that she makes these movements to stay connected with the song, and to portray the emotion in each song, and I think she does a fantastic job of doing so. I find it much more appealing than someone who is standing like a statue and singing.

@HotRodder2100 and matosc--Another Jackie Facet. HR, the critical complainers can't find fault with Jackie's voice, so they complain about her unique patented beautiful flowing angelic expressive arm and hand gestures.
It is quite correct for people use hand gestures when they are speaking to aid communication.
It is also quite correct for Jackie to use her ingenius arm and hand gestures to add expression and emotion to her performance.

@HotRodder2100 Hand gesture are AWESOME especially if they have value in a song! I have done compettions where I was marked on mindless hand gestures so I know I have studied I am a voice teacher that's why I think she should be guided and it seems she has because she has gotten so much better and of course her voice IS ANGELIC and I am so proud of this little talented girl to keep the classics alive!!!!

@matosc Jackie's hand gestures are what comes natural to her. Asking her to change that would not be comfortable for her. Most people like her hand gestures, and I think they add to her performance, not detract from it.

It's not just that she sounds older than she is.... its that she sounds better. In fact you can forget about Jackie's age. There isn't anyone that she has sung with, regardless of age, that she hasn't been equal to or better than . As a matter of fact there isn't anyone out there in the music industry whose place is safe with Jackie around.

This isn't OPERA! But this girl is amazingly talented and is beautiful from the inside out. The arm thing is distracting and makes me cringe but hey, she's AMAZING!!!!

@operacrackers I'm a real Jackie-ite but I'll have to admit she does overdo the arm thing in this video. Usually it kinda fits and is an integral part of her style, but here a bit much. I'm glad you didn't let that keep you from seeing the huge talent. And thanks for not being an opera snob.

@Laundis :) I've been singing classically for about 12 years - but I never want to be an opera snob. If you insult other singers, it's just an indication of insecurity and it's petty. :) Re: the arm thing I'm starting to think that someone told her she should do that - and she may be using that is a form of concentration... it feels like it's not her natural expression but I'm sure that will come in time. Everytime I hear her speaking she's such a sweetheart and with intelligence to boot!

@operacrackers Jackie is unique in her singing ability and her portrayal of emotion in a song, and movement to the music, like an orchestra conductor. If she feels comfortable with it, then I don't think anyone has any right to criticize it.

@HotRodder2100 The problem is that it distracts us from her voice. All I can think while she is preforming is "What is she doing with her arms! I wish she would hold them still or do something different!" but not fully on her voice. This is a simple thing about vocal performing technique. We all have to work on it! She will get better with time if she gets a good vocal teacher that will teach her how to perform correctly. I think the problem she will face is how she ages with her voice.

No one wants to see her perform like a stilted, stifled robot. We love the way she performs. To change that would be a travesty !!

@HotRodder2100-Ya know buddy, I think it should be explored whether Jackie should be allowed to, or she should insist on using a portable headmic, for her concerts. I know it is traditional for classical concert performers to use a standup mic, but I think Jackie's voice and performance would be enhanced with a headmic. I love the freedom she has here, with her arm and body movement, which really allows her to get into the rhythm and tempo. I also think she is much more relaxed here.

@davekanak I agree with you. I think Jackie mentioned one time in an interview that she prefers the head mic, because it gives her the freedom to move her arms, which she loves to do, and which her fans love to see as well. I agree that it does enhance her performance, and allows her to become one with the music, and portray the emotion in the song beautifully. She does appear to be more relaxed whenever she has a head mic. I'm sure that most venues would allow her to use one.

Okay this isn't Opera its a christmas carol... She is so talented. She will go very far in life if she chooses to stick to a singing career which I hope she does. I sang Opera for 7 and a half years and its a LOT of work... i have no doubt in my mind that she could do that.. she has a pure clean beautiful voice. Bravo!!!! sing more !
