BUT, we have Halford albums to jam to, which offer a different sound, but same powerful voice. Keep the faith, keep supporting your favorite metal bands, as I have for 25 years.

I, for one, don't think the Tim Owens years were bad. The two albums they made with him were probably their heaviest stuff. What DID suck was the songwriting (lyrics). It wasn't really Judas Priest--it was The Glenn Tipton Band with Owens on vocals. Excellent, but not quite the same.
