  • i think he said oh shoot

  • @pjrohe Your just trolling on here, you know damn well he said shit! I knew he said shit before I ever read your dumb comment. you sir are trying to receive attention because deep down your nothing but a heartless soul....

  • "Oh shit" IT'S DEGA SHIT, BOY! LIVE WITH IT.

  • LOL! I love how Bob Jenkins says Oh Shit, but no one else bothers to notice that because of Ricky Craven's nasty crash. Darrell would of probably say the same thing.

  • @NASCARwolf20 i'm not sure if your talking about no one mentioning it on the live telecast, but they didn't go back live until when they said "a bad crash here at talladega".

  • 0:16 the tires like hey guys see ya

  • ...Oh Shit...

  • Comment removed

  • thumbs up if you saw the tire bounsing at :16-:20

  • Took me a while to realize just how hard of a hit Craven took. For a while there I thought his car was a chunk of sheet metal or something off someone's car...

  • 0:02 oh bo bop boo bope lol

  • OH SHIT!!!!!

  • did anyone notice they were trying to hide s***?

  • Do people really have to point out what he said? I'm not offended by bad words and it's not that I don't like them, but come on, I think we can hear it when he says it. It was pretty funny though!!!

  • Love how Bob Jenkins says Oh Shit and no one notices

  • i love how this is a video of one of the worst wrecks of all time and all anyone cares about is 'oh shit'.

  • Wow I like how he dosen't even know that he swore.

  • WHO SAID OF SHIT?! I WANNA GIVE THEM A BIG HUG!!

  • reminds me of Jimmy Horton's crash in 93 at Talladega

  • Which commentator said "Oh shit"?

  • @CustomSongCharter Bob Jenkins

  • Bob Jenkins was the best, I could never picture him saying "oh shit" though.

  • And there they go, Martin turned and CRAVEN OH SHIT!!!

  • Gordon should go back to go-carts. Maybe he'll feel the pain

  • @wuscli You know, Jeff didn't mean to do this. Maybe it could've been prevented, but Mark Martin sorta played a little role in this too. If you watch, Mark clearly misjudged Jeff and came across his bumper. Jeff probably could've backed off, but seriously, what can you do when you have someone riding your ass, seriously? This was just a racing incident.

  • Ricky must not have been driving his typical Tide paint scheme, cuz when they were saying Ricky Craven I was lookin for bright colors so I was confused on where he was. He was usually easy to spot.

  • @Bobbysboy In 1996 Ricky was driving for Larry Hedrick. It wasn't until 2001 that he moved to Cal Wells's operation to drive the Tide car. And yes he wasn't easy to spot in this video (at least when he was right side up). I once heard a story that when Ricky was in the hospital and saw this replay on Sportscenter he turned to his wife and said, "Man I feel sorry for the guy who flipped. Who was it?" Probably an awkward second or two in there before she answered lol.

  • yes Bob Jenkes did say shit

  • typical Tally! <333

  • In case it wasn't mentioned, that "oh ****" wasn't broadcast on the air - this comes from the satellite feed, apparently. When Bob Jenkins says "A bad crash at..." was RIGHT when they cut back from commercial to live broadcast. They cut back from the commercial at about 0:11.

  • 0:02 lol the wreck switches to Dale Earnhardt's pit crew.

  • 0:06

  • OH SHIT!!!!

  • 0:07 hahahaha o shit he said

  • Oh shit!

  • Oh shit lmao

  • ouch!

  • "OH @#%&!!"

    LMAO!!!

  • :04 rofl!!!!!

  • Crazy wreck, thanks for the post, I love Ricky Craven by the way, he was one of my favorite racers back when he was still in NASCAR..!!!

  • "Oh Shit!" is right

Another scary crash at Talladega but at least everyone was okay.

  • rickey craven wasnt. he was never the same after this wreck. he suffered a brain injury from it. he almost flew out of the track. i;; never forget it as long as i live. but yeah it was b/c i thought someone was dead for sure.

  • actually this wreck didnt hurt him too bad, it was a practice wreck at texas that put him out for a while.

  • was it texas? I cant remember but Craven wasn't hurt at all from this crash...besides the basic bumps and bruises topped off with a shitty pair of underoos.

  • yeah it was texas in 97 while in the 25 car. after that he moved to the 50 for a while.

  • @burtonfan2

25 and 50 was the same car. Budweiser had Hendrick switch the 25 to 50 to celebrate the 50 years of NASCAR

  • @ScottNEwberry oh he was hurt, in knocked him unconcious as soon as he hit the wall. i saw a video where he was talking about this crash. lol he cussed

  • @storm24awesome well yeah he was hurt obviously, I said that in a earlier post. I meant as far as the way that crash looked horrid but he basically received no injuries. Being knocked out is not a injury, per say....

  • how did jeff stat that. They both stated it. Jeff went up and tried to squeeeeez past Mark and he moved up and it was on from there

  • The ole winston cup, what a crock of shit thet had to stop being the sponsor. Might as well be the kotex/pamprin/midol cup.

  • @babybluesnowden it could of been the Metamucil Cup lol

  • at least that would be a "regular" sponsor pun intended LOL

  • oh shit haha, not the only time, one time they put a crew cheif on air, he was talking to his driver and he was mad and he said shit haha

  • lol one of em said oh shit

  • @NintendoBoyDX it was bob jenkins

  • Heh, this was the first NASCAR race I ever watched.

  • nascars sad without benny parsons isnt it? i miss him in the booth

  • lol

  • o o oo o

    simular to "Priceless Commentary"

  • Comment removed

  • I can not belive this it isnt in nascar's top 10 crashes

  • lol listen at 0:05..."oh shit" lol

  • yeah, that was because that was before the coverage, like during a commercial. lol indeed.

  • hahahahaha yes exactly what i heard

  • Around 2003, his new car was on display in Richmond at a parking lot in Midlothian town.

  • Comment removed

  • probably is. I remember seeing the geoff bodine truck crasha dn some sorry fat sob was cheering while bodine could have been dying. Very sickening, and anyone who enjoys crashes were drivers are injured or die are mentally F'd up.

  • mark martin...jeff gordon..*big wreck* oh

    SHIT lol

  • ik right they well beep it out if they say swear words again and so far non has not swear now its the drivers swearing and some like abc and fox might not allow swears so they beep it out

  • what a wreck

  • Ricky's last race was at Martinsville 2006 busch race.

  • lmao 0:07 oh shit goes the commentators!

  • thats wat i thought he said lol cant blame him tho

  • 0:06

  • I bet Bob Jenkins watched this and said "Oh shit"

  • he did

  • this looks similar to michael waltrip wreck in the same turn here in 2005. except michael didnt make it to the catch fence

  • that was a bad crash

  • Well he didnt actually say it, he caught himself for the most part, and they were on a commercial break, as this was watched from a live feed channel

  • Bob Jenkins is a pro announcer.

    Nasty wreck! Anybody woulda slipped.

  • i think if you were watching that thing live, you'd say, "OH SHIT!" too, only probably with a bit more emotion than Bob Jenkins showed.

  • I wonder how DW would have reacted if that happened with him at the booth?

  • he would probably say oh no watch carl edwards crash at talladega

  • Comment removed

  • oww shit

  • OH SHIT

  • Wow, I was only 2 when this happened but I could swear to God I can remember it.

    Thankfully Ricky's alright.

    "Oh, SHIT!" XD

  • i love ricky craven

  • Dang I cant believe he said shit on live tv!

  • it was actually during a commercial, but there were live feed channels that skipped commercials and still had the commentators.

  • @burtonfan2 cummon, how many of you havent said shit off cameras. there regualr people like us they just talk on tv.

  • wow i remember watching that race and my heard sinking because it took jeffy out

  • 0:05 lol "o Shit"

  • Sometimes "Oh Shit" is the only words that fit

  • Used to love the watching the live feeds!!!

  • wow bob jenkins says oh shitt

lol love it classic nascar nowadays he woulda been fired

  • True... but it wasn't a big deal because they were at commercial at the time of the crash so thats why he said it. haha They cut back in when he says..."A very bad crash..."

  • 41 car is destroyed

  • he said oh sh**

  • lol just 2 words....oh shit

  • They were at commercial when the crash first began. When they came back on the air, the first words were, "A bad crash at Talladega, just a very bad crash."

This new audio has recently been released for a lot of races that show what the on-air commentators were doing during those commercials. That's why the "Oh shit" comment was never heard before now.

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "Mark, yup Mark Martin. Jeff Gordon, Oh Shit!"

  • I heard him say Oh Shit.

  • did they say oh shit??

  • uh huh, its hilarious

  • taktikal24- My comment was based from an interview I remember him doing after retirement. He was fine on the smaller tracks, but "lost his nerve" on the big speedways like Daytona and 'Dega.

  • oh SHIT!

  • WOW he said oh shit on TV tisk tisk

  • I believe he said oh shit before the TV cut came in. They were probably on a commercial break when the crash started happening. That's just my guess.

  • Good call. That's exactly what happened. Was watching this race when they cut out of the commercial to show the crash already in progress.

  • yes he did

  • Did he say "OH SHIT""

If he did that was fucken awsome

  • Ricky Craven was never the same after this. He admitted that when he recovered enough to drive again he found he lost his nerve and drove too cautiously to be competitive. He had nightmares from the crash and couldn't handle driving the big tracks after that. He ended up retiring.

  • Actually, I'd say Craven's career improved after this.

  • yeah, he finished 3rd at daytona in the '97 500, won at martinsville in '01 and barely beat kurt busch at darlington in 03

  • "couldn't handle driving the big tracks after that"- He finished 3rd in next years Daytona 500.

  • While I can't say whether or not he had nightmares about this wreck... the rest is bullshit. If he lost his nerve, he wouldn't have been the winner of the 2003 Darlington race... you know, the closest finish in NASCAR history. Obviously, since this wreck was in 1995 and that race was in 2003 the wreck probably had very little to do with his timely retirement.

  • Midwestern329, don't we all "end up retiring?" ... It took Ricky Craven awhile to get himself back "right" after the crash. He did suffer some long term effects from the crash. But as others have noted, he went on to race for Hendrick after the crash, finish third at Daytona (a "big track") in the Budweiser 25 car, and much later in his life won races at Martinsville and -- maybe the greatest NASCAR finish ever -- in a Pontiac at Darlington over Kurt Busch.

  • What were some of his injuries in this crash. I thought his crash at Texas in practice a couple years later when he was driving for Hendrick was the one that really set him back. How much time was he sidelined after this crash at Talladega?

  • It's been awhile since I've read the full story and I can't seem to find it now. But Ricky saw the crash replayed on the news while in the hospital and made a comment like, "Wow, I'd hate to be that guy." And they had to tell him he WAS "that guy." I'm not sure what injuries -- broken bones or bruises -- might've been suffered. Maybe few. But the Kodiak-Talladega flip was the first of the crashes (including Texas) that likely contributed to a 1998 case of vertigo that nearly ended his career.

  • Thanks for the info. I wasn't completely sure about the details of the injuries to him from the wreck at Talladega. I read something somewhere that he "walked away" from the accident at Talladega. I'm sure he was banged up pretty bad but wasn't sure if he was injured badly and if he missed any time or not. I'm guessing he didn't miss any races but I could be wrong. But, since you said he was in the hospital then who knows. Maybe he was in the hospital briefly but didn't miss any races.

  • *cracks up* I've watched this wreck so many times and I still didn't pick up on the face Jenkins said, "Oh, shit." until just now.

  • "oh shit" i'm surprised bob jenkins said that!

  • at least it shows hes human. I reckon oh shit is the reaction of everybody when they see a crash like that.

  • i remember i saw this race on ESPN2 and the accident occurred during commercials. Just when he says... bad crash... they returned.

  • "oh shit" hahahaha, lol

  • lol Bob Jenkins said oh shit

  • Comment removed

  • Never mind; I found out he didn't. This clip was from a "wild feed" channel, which allowed people to watch races without the commercials.

  • Where can we find more of these "wild Feed Channel" uploads?? It would be funny to hear someone like Alan Bestwick curse... lol

  • Bob Jenkins is my hero. He should have been fined $10,000 and 25 driver points. hehe

  • 25 commentator points u mean lol

  • he said oh shit lol.

  • Bob Jenkins cursing??? I've seen and heard it all...

  • Did he say "Oh shit"?

  • yes he did lol

  • Wow.
