I was so angry when he caused me to break 5 bones in my foot, that I was ready to tell how I got injured. The ER doctor let him into the examining room so that stopped me from telling. wow! I understand the need to keep the family together first no matter what. It's an exceptional quality and this is where strength reside in a woman: patience, enduring anything to put other people first. HOWEVER! The sad part of it is the courts and the cops still don't get it. My back door was shot out in June with my phone and security camera tampered with, and no one does anything. The police report said there was no indication of anyone walking through the tall grass on my property. Yeah, I have a witness who saw it. James City County Police can't be trusted.

This is a very honest video on domestic violence. I work with these ladies everyday. If you know anyone in this situation, please referr them to the nearest Battered Women's Shelter. Also, the batterers do need help, but the victims need to think about themselves and their children first. If you know a batterer personaly, please let them know it is not ok to beat their significant others. Just because Dad or Grandpa did it, doesn't make it ok.

This was AWFUL!!!! It's currently 2:17 am on Mon January 31st 2011 and to this day, this remains the worst clip I've ever seen period ... this is like a HORROR MOVIE gone wrong. I just hang around for the kids. My wife sees it as I am big enough to take it. And it does piss me off. Not so much the physical aspect but the psychology behind it. She knows I won't hit her back. I always said that it could never happen to me. If he hit me 1 time I would leave. But in reality, how could I leave when he threatened my familie's lives? When he held a fully loaded gun to my head and threatened to kill me if I even thought of leaving. I was so angry when he caused me to break 5 bones in my foot, that I was ready to tell how I got injured. The ER doctor let him into the examining room so that stopped me from telling. There were more and the abuse escalated. How can you leave?

wow! I understand the need to keep the family together first no matter what. It's an exceptional quality and this is where strength reside in a woman: patience, enduring anything to put other people first. HOWEVER! The sad part of it is the courts and the cops still don't get it. My back door was shot out in June with my phone and security camera tampered with, and no one does anything. The police report said there was no indication of anyone walking through the tall grass on my property. Yeah, I have a witness who saw it. James City County Police can't be trusted.

I was holding back tears for most of this. How evil was this dude, tormenting his wife and children like that. Looks like his wife was strong, but loved him and her family too much to turn him in. I'm hopeful she will find a good man, but pray for those kids because of what they were made to witness and how they were used could at the least be described as 'sick'. I'm sure he is not having a good time in prison and hope all those days of incarceration teaches him how evil really was!

DV affects so many women, even men. but the majority are women and it is never their fault. no one ever deserves to get hit by their partner. but there are many factors as to why a woman would stay. financial support, cultural expectations (many women of color stay to protect the family from shame), psychological, and so forth. seriously search "DV power and control wheel."

This is a very honest video on domestic violence. I work with these ladies everyday. If you know anyone in this situation, please referr them to the nearest Battered Women's Shelter. Also, the batterers do need help, but the victims need to think about themselves and their children first. If you know a batterer personaly, please let them know it is not ok to beat their significant others. Just because Dad or Grandpa did it, doesn't make it ok.

umm obviously you've been reading the wrong material because 95% of all batterers are male and 98% of all rapist are male. Women are not the only ones who need help it is the men who do this that need help to figure out why they commit such acts. Furthermore I don't see how any man on this website can condone or try to blame the victim if they aren't abusers themselves.
