as much as i love Kobe. i really hated the lakers at this time! this team was the worst CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM put together. i was on top of the world when Detroit beat dat ass. Billups, Rip, The Prince and the Wallaces, COACH LARRY BROWN along wid the rest of the team picture perfek WINNING team!
The 2009 Laker team is the best because it's not all about the players. It's about the will to win and the 2004 Laker team looked at the Pistons as if they were going to sweep them. But the 2009 Lakers wanted redemption as they took nothing for granted and they won the NBA title.
I was so happy Detroit whooped that ass. I don't like Karl Malone. And they just looked at Detroit as if they was gonna sweep them. The Lakers back then was just a arrogant team.
Yeah you could see it in the way they talked about them. Kobe said about the odds makers, cause they had the Lakers as heavy favorites, was something like "Well there is a reason they make those odds."
I thought the Lakers were gonna knock them in out 5 or 6 until I started hearing comments like that. The Pistsons were a lot better than the Lakers ever thought.

One of the Biggest Upset in NBA FINALS history!! Imagine Shaq, Kobe, Malone, Payton, Fisher, .... against who? The pistons were amazing as underdogs.
I'm happy for Payton who got his ring with Miami. Too bad for poor Karl Malone who went 3 time to the finals to come up empty.
