I've had the same thing since I was 12, it's pretty annoying. I can stop myself for a minute or two, but then the blinking starts coming back.

this might be partially based on the placebo effect. She wants to stop blinking, her brain tells her the mouth guard is going to stop it. When she tries to stop it herself, she is thinking about stopping it therefore, her mind is thinking about it. she is calm and not thinking about it when the mouthpiece is in.

Is this something to move the jaw forwards and down? I had something similar before I had my 'permanent' braces put in (for straightening teeth, nothing to do with Tourette syndrome). I don't know what they were for though. They just made my jaw looser.

I spoke to soon and had this video mixed up with another one. I can't even here the dialog on this video and Tourettes is a neuro-biologial disorder that can only be affect by

being nervous but that it is not a nervous tic disorder at all. Not by definition. Stress does have an impact but for many Touretted overwhelms control period and stoping tic by focus causes them to build and

become worse later regardless of relaxation or stresses added difficulties of helps for control for a time.

I do not fight to hide my Tourettes because when it is better it is just better, but when its bad I can only fight some of the tics and pay for it when they get worse. The only thing that shust them off is driving. Poetry helps me cope. I have a video of my poem POETRY OF TOURETTES on youtube. This video was great.

Tourette's is a disorder which is a compression and when this is relieved by the device the tics from tourette's discontinues. Each device has to be specifically made for each individual.
