You need 5 or more in a 20 gallon + tank for a sorority. Otherwise the dominant female will pick on and hurt the only other female. They develop a pecking order and each will need their own space.

beta prefer small pellet type food.. or tiny pieces of shrimp. They are top feeders, so make sure the food floats lond enough for the fish to eat.

No, it really is pronounced bet- uh. It's latin, betta splenedins. That's the scientific name for one type of betta, the one reffered to in this video.

We've added this to our pet info playlist. Beta fish are so pretty but there is a lot to know about them to keep them well.
