How the hell does a state have a law that throws people in jail for 3 1/2 years for having a handgun. That's crazy. Now he shouldn't have carried it into a bar, but I don't understand the logic whatsoever in putting him in jail for a couple of years for possession of a handgun. Why shouldn't he be able to carry in a bar? If the owner of the establishment permits the possession of firearms, then it should be allowed. If you carry for self defense, you can't make exceptions for where you carry.
