I remember when the pink version came out, it was a "guilty" pleasure of mine. i didn't want to admit that i liked the song because it was pink but i remember thinking it had a "beck feel" that i liked. then i found out why i liked the song.
Doesn't matter who wrote it, Beck's version isn't as good. I liked his stuff in Scott Pilgrim, but the chorus of this is just painful to listen to. P!nk can sing a lot better.
@Krasnoje - Clearly you don't comprehend English very well. Let me help you better understand the first comment. Many youtubers post comments saying that Beck was the artist behind writing the song "Feel Good Time". That is completely false. My comment and grubbj's comment point out the fact that the band "Spirit" actually wrote the song, not Beck. I never said that proper credit was never given by Beck. The problem is youtubers are not giving proper credit. Is that too simple for you?
@Krasnoje - A) please learn how to write a sentence in proper English. You sound stupid. B) If you would have bothered to read my later comment, I corrected my error on the name of the band. Led Zeppelin sampled the intro for the song Taurus by Spirit. C) Beck and Pink still sampled, borrowed, copied (whatever you want to call it) this song, so people need to realize that he is not the genius behind the beat.
@zedpjammer A) Agree, english is not my native language. But how is this related to the fact you were absolutely wrong? B) Of course I haven't bothered. You haven't bothered to check your first comment before you posted it. You mixed bands, songs all together. C) If you think that there is any genius behind the beat, your world must be quite...simple:)
@gubbj Please, check available info before you post something stupid. Jay Fergusson gets credit for this song. For instance on metrolyrics and whiskeyclone and that is just a quick few seconds search. Beck and Orbit didn´t wrote the song for P!nk. P!nk decided to cover this song for Charlie´s Angel´s soundtrack because Beck refused to give his version. Next time don´t blame others.
@gubbj Please, check available info before you post something stupid. Jay Fergusson gets credit for this song. For instance on metrolyrics and whiskeyclone and that is just a quick few seconds search. I can´t see where is the "riping off".
@minoo. I agree that is correct. Must have not been paying attention when writing. "Taurus" was the song by "Spirit" that Led Zeppelin used in the intro for Stairway to Heaven.
I'm a huge Beck fan and I think it's soooo awesome that he wrote this song I had no idea and always loved this song haha so wicked... but I have to admit that the chorus is easier to listen to in Pink's version because in this one it sounds too screamy lol
This song was originally written by a band called Taurus and the song is called "Fresh Garbage", which was written in 1968. Beck and Pink copied off Taurus.
@zedpjammer Again, like gubbj: Please, check available info before you post something stupid.
@zedpjammer Please, check available info before you post something stupid. Author of this song Jay Fergusson from Spirit (Taurus is just a song by this band!) gets credit for this song, as the main riff comes from Fresh Garbage. So there´s no plagiarism. For instance on metrolyrics and whiskeyclone and that is just a quick search. Beck and Orbit didn´t wrote the song for P!nk. P!nk only decided to cover this song for Charlie´s Angel´s soundtrack because Beck refused to give his version.
ok, Beck and William Orbit wrote and recorded it, this version was due to go on the Charlie's Angels Full Throttle soundtrack, but at the time Beck had released or was in the process of releasing Sea Change, which could not sound any further from this song and so in order to avoid releasing two singles with such contrasting sounds and splitting his audience Pink did this for the movie.
This actually sounds alot more like the Pink version that I thought it would. I'm a big Beck and was suprised to hear he wrote this because it one of the few Pink songs that I genuinely like!
I don't like this one. It sucks! I'm sorry if I want to get a negative comment, but I'm sorry Pink's version is much better! I'm glad she saved this song because if this version was released, it would be a disaster for the song and for beck's career.
From what I've read, this was originally written for a William Orbit solo album that never got completed. Someone involved with Charlie's Angels Full Throttle got a hold of the demo somehow and wanted it for the soundtrack, but Beck didn't want to appear on it himself, so with permission they wiped his vocals and guitar and got Pink to sing over the rest of the backing music.
this was originally written and recorded by beck and william orbit in about 2002-ish, it was never comercially released or at least i dont think. So, yes, it wasnt at comercially sucessful as pinks cover, but it is definately better and i dont think anyone should compare a genius like beck to a pop "sensation" like pink who you forget in 5 years.
You seem to be unaware that Pink has already been around for 9 years. She is a great entertainer and what's more, she is an amazing singer. I wouldn't sarcastically refer to her as a "sensation". She is a pop star, and she will be around for a while.

Some people may forget Pink in 5 years but I can guarantee you that there are plenty of people that are not even aware of Beck's existence. This garbage proves that Beck is NO genius. Sounds horrible.
the fact that a lot of people don't know who beck is doesn't mean jack shit, and i don't know how much of beck's stuff you've actually listened to but whether or not he's a genius can't be decided by this song( which happens to be pretty damn good for a pop song, as is the case with every other genre this GENIUS has experimented with.)
Although this is almost the same as P!NK's version it has a very Beck sound and kinda suits Beck more. As much as I like this I can't imagine this being anywhere near the commercial success P!NK's song was

Beck has ZERO sex. PINK oozes boy/girl sexuality. Ergo this song was better for PINK as a party anthem. Except it got all mixed up Charlie's Angels and never became what it could've. Maybe BECK thinks he's DAFT PUNK?
While it was a great invention, I don't think that Beck would have been right for the song. I think he was very sporting to give it to Pink. So what if Pink didn't actually write it, she acknoleges that and sings it well.
'this version' lol this is the same as the pink version. What did she do, take out hiss vocals and put in her own? I think that is called kareoke. This is a great track. Should have been a massive hit, eiher version.
I'm sure beck would have preferred to see the song succeed and if that meant giving it to p!nk then so be it. I think she did a really good job.
