Many youtubers post comments saying that Beck was the artist behind writing the song "Feel Good Time". That is completely false. My comment and grubbj's comment point out the fact that the band "Spirit" actually wrote the song, not Beck. I never said that proper credit was never given by Beck. The problem is youtubers are not giving proper credit. Is that too simple for you?

Led Zeppelin sampled the intro for the song Taurus by Spirit. C) Beck and Pink still sampled, borrowed, copied (whatever you want to call it) this song, so people need to realize that he is not the genius behind the beat.

This song was originally written by a band called Taurus and the song is called "Fresh Garbage", which was written in 1968. Beck and Pink copied off Taurus.

ok, Beck and William Orbit wrote and recorded it, this version was due to go on the Charlie's Angels Full Throttle soundtrack, but at the time Beck had released or was in the process of releasing Sea Change, which could not sound any further from this song and so in order to avoid releasing two singles with such contrasting sounds and splitting his audience Pink did this for the movie.

From what I've read, this was originally written for a William Orbit solo album that never got completed. Someone involved with Charlie's Angels Full Throttle got a hold of the demo somehow and wanted it for the soundtrack, but Beck didn't want to appear on it himself, so with permission they wiped his vocals and guitar and got Pink to sing over the rest of the backing music.

this was originally written and recorded by beck and william orbit in about 2002-ish, it was never comercially released or at least i dont think. So, yes, it wasnt at comercially sucessful as pinks cover, but it is definately better and i dont think anyone should compare a genius like beck to a pop "sensation" like pink who you forget in 5 years.
