Greatest video of all time to watch high. I felt like i was watching pink floyd live and experiencing every stimuli that was in that Arena. For exactly 9 minutes and 52 seconds i was in a different world.
I shot heroin in the veins in my hands and they did swell like two balloons from bad hits and dirty syringes.I also had to "recede" in order to relate.Everything just drifted in and out of my mind.I was in a state of suspended animation and didn't know it or even cared to.I just drifted from bag to bag. Clean now 26 yrs.Reality is painful, but I was to find out that clarity is more important Syd lost his clarity. Life is still a movie but I don't have to participate in the madness. Stay Focused.
Probably my favorite. The only thing missing - Roger Waters, but glad at least that Nick Mason, Richard Wright and David Gilmore are there. I agree that they are the greatest band ever!
@muzikmind77 i actually heard on a radio station that although most people think it's about drugs, the writer of the song actually was sick as a kid and that was how he felt
By the way.. I was at this show. I was in the USAF, stationed at RAF Alconbury. I went with a pal, whom I am in still good contact with. Was an amazing show.
How in gods name did anyone make it to this video and hit the dislike button?!?!?!?!?!? Or does youtube do that on purpose so Bieber doesn't feel so bad...
I've probably watched this performance 50 times and still can't get enough of it. Musically it's nearly perfect, Gilmour is even more brillant than normal, the rest of the guys are also totally in the grove. Visually, as a photographer, it's stunning. From the orange lit smoke giving the illusion of fire, to the circle of lights engulfing Gilmour during the solo, to the simplistic backlighting of Gilmour. This could not be more perfect.
@knickovthyme ......LOL.....don't be a quitter,,,,,,i have been playing for i think 39 years...went 20 years without one...shit, it was a GOOD chick magnet.....dave is my fave lead guitarist...on his heels, is SRV, eric, bernard allison.....i realize the latter group, play colored folk music....if any left alive, you kiss this white blues player's ass

I love the part where David Gilmour becomes a sillouhette with the white light shining on him as he passionately plays his solo. God I wish I was older than 10 years old when this concert happened.
Something about this band stands out from all the other ones, Soul and Passon not only can David Glimour make that Fender scream and make your bones have chill bumbs but the rest of the band Nick Mason can beat the hell out of them drums and Rick keyboards the hell out of it. This band stands on its on nobody will EVER be as good as them. PERIOD and I dont give a fuck how good you think Lil Wayne is he can suck the fart from my ass. This boys are the king of fucking rock im out.!
it took me 37years to finally "get" Pink Floyd and boy do regret not having been "into" them years ago when this tour was going on. what a freaking genius show these dudes put on.....
Let's see ANYONE that's currently popular do something this amazing and awe-inspiring. C'mon, LMFAO. I dare you. Try to make actual MUSIC for a change.
@vuslandal I was a teen in the 60's. I have seen PF 2 times in my life and wish I would have seen them here. They will never be able to duplicate this kind of music.
Pink Floyd were and always will be unique and a better guitar solo will never come along.
@vuslandal I grew up with them unfortunately never been to a concert, Pink Floyd, Billy Idol and Michael Jackson were very very popular then but noone compares to Pink Floyd EVER EVER!!!! This is the Best band of ALL times!!!!
@bugbug10107 I went to one of their concerts back in the 90's and I tell ya, those boys can really put on a show. They NEVER took any breaks in between songs. Their light show, special effects, etc are awesome!!!! That will be a night I will never forget.
Pink Floyd are just simply consumate masters at the craft. In my humble opinion everyone has to take a back seat to these legends of the genre of music that I absolutley adore. P.U.L.S.E Live was simply the best concert of the ages. Just as Frank Sinatra is the master and Chairman of the Board, he would have given Pink Floyd his absolute blessing.Live long Syd, Live long Richard and may you two be at peace. To David, Roger, and Nick may you three continue to share your power and authority.
I swear, this song is it's own addiction. You always say you want a little more, but it just goes on and you can't stop listening! And you know what? It feels GREAT......I don't ever want to overcome my addiction to this song. Even if I do, I'll probably just start all over again.
every time i watch this video i always wish to God that time travel were really possible.next to the stage in front of David Gilmour.almost makes want to shed a tear.amazing.
I will choose Comfortably Numb over Stairway to Heaven, Free Bird, Bohemian Rhapsody, Hotel California, November Rain, and any other rock classic everytime.
Damn, this is the most perfect version of this song I've heard. Its flawless and the guitar solo is fucking spectacular. If anyone knows a better version let me know.
This... I don't even have words for it... Thumbs up if you agree that this is among the best recordings in modern music. This should be studied. Why can't the pop charts be filled with great music once again? I am 18. I watched the pulse DVD when I was 13 or so. I will give that DVD to my kids in hopes of showing them that music once had meaning, complexity, and had more depth than the number of copies it sold.
I was only 10 months old at the time... If I had a time machine...
I am 22, and I watched this for the first time almost ten years ago. I remember thinking "this is the best thing ever", and I'll tell ya, it hasn't changed a bit. This is real music, and I hope people of my generation will come to realize it when they grow up, look back, and see what they wasted their time on.
This music is akin to a religious experience for me, or what I assume one is like. Unbelievable, it always effects me on such a deep level, and has since I fell in love with their music in the early 70's.....amazing!

@xXgodpersonXx No man... it's time for a new generation of true musicians inspired by great music like this to step up and keep the burning torch lit. But I get what you're saying :)
And, to think... that ball opens up to 24 feet tall with a 12 kilowatt light inside it.... not to mention the area all the lights shining on it are coming from is the control center for all the lights.
I was at this concert completly sober and it was still to this day the most amazing thing I have yet to see in my life. I wish bands today put on a real show. This may be the last.

Lady Gaga- Poker Face has over 107 million views and this only has 1.7 million? So for every 100 people who watch Poker Face, only 1 would would watch this? WHAT THE FUCK??? The world is in a sad state of affairs!!!
@Albuquerque5000 would you really want some one who listens to Poker Face to listen to this? Besides that means that if you listen to Pink Floyd that you are part of an exclusive group of intellectuals.
@Albuquerque5000 - Its about quality - Not everyone can afford a Rolex, same here... not everyone can understand PFloyd, its lyrics, its meaning, its deepness - let alone its music. You pay with your taste for the highest art has to offer to this world.
This will be classic music in the centuries to come.
"Wanna here what this songs about??? DOING DRUGS AND SINGING RANDOM THINGS!! :D
JFalzini31 22 hours ago"
Sir, with all due respect....you are a retard and your mouth should be boarded up and you should be tied to a tank and dropped in the middle of the ocean.
@JFalzini31 Actually this song was written specifically about Roger Waters' difficulties before going onstage at a concert or series of concerts. As he tells the story, he had sever stomach cramps and a doctor injected him with something so powerful he could barely raise his arms, but the audience didn't care. The lines about childhood fever are also autobiographical. He combined both experiences to write a song that enhances the idea of alienation running throughout The Wall.
Actually, Gilmour wrote the music for one of his solo albums. He offered it to the group for inclusion on The Wall album. Waters wrote the words, Gilmour already had the music. Regardless, it's a well loved Floyd tune.
@UltraDroid1 I was correcting the OP on the what the song was about, not how it came to be. You're right about how the song came to be on the album, but the meaning of the lyrics is as I stated. There are many interviews that can be found where Waters discusses the meaning and source of the lyrics for this song.
WHY DAMN IT WHY?? why the fuck it took me 37 years to finally "GET' pink floyd? all the time i have wasted!!! finally i get what these GENIUSES are all about.
This is the on the top 10 best songs of rock history list, and so far this is the #1 song THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE i'm trying to make a survey out of the top10 songs every month, so keep on trying to make this song the best!
@yourabuttkiss Well... When I asked: Have we become Comfortably Numb? I was thinking about that w all the technology this day feels like we become heartless... I saw on the news Yesterday about hit-and-run incident in China involving a two-year-old child left injured in the road as passers-by ignored her. So sad and this song really make me think about that...heartless..."numb"... Thanks for the comments!
Absolutely incredible, THIS IS REAL MUSIC! without a doubt one of the most incredible songs and performance of all time. Thank you @profleandrolima for uploading this video.

I was at this concert completly sober and it was still to this day the most amazing thing I have yet to see in my life. I wish bands today put on a real show. This may be the last.

Known as the best guitar solo in history, only can David Gilmour give a calibur solo like this one and can Pink Floyd produce such masterful music.

Lady Gaga- Poker Face has over 107 million views and this only has 1.7 million? So for every 100 people who watch Poker Face, only 1 would would watch this? WHAT THE FUCK??? The world is in a sad state of affairs!!!
Albuquerque5000 3 months ago 57
@Albuquerque5000 would you really want some one who listens to Poker Face to listen to this? Besides that means that if you listen to Pink Floyd that you are part of an exclusive group of intellectuals.

@Albuquerque5000 - Its about quality - Not everyone can afford a Rolex, same here... not everyone can understand PFloyd, its lyrics, its meaning, its deepness - let alone its music. You pay with your taste for the highest art has to offer to this world.
This will be classic music in the centuries to come.

Who needs drugs when you have Floyd playing?
RockinAlpacaLord 3 months ago 8
@RockinAlpacaLord Oh, but the drugs (LSD, shrooms, even pot) make it so much better (not that I am pushing drugs or anything)

Sir, with all due respect....you are a retard and your mouth should be boarded up and you should be tied to a tank and dropped in the middle of the ocean.

JFalzini31 3 months ago
@JFalzini31 Actually this song was written specifically about Roger Waters' difficulties before going onstage at a concert or series of concerts. As he tells the story, he had sever stomach cramps and a doctor injected him with something so powerful he could barely raise his arms, but the audience didn't care. The lines about childhood fever are also autobiographical. He combined both experiences to write a song that enhances the idea of alienation running throughout The Wall.
danakerman 3 months ago
@danakerman
Actually, Gilmour wrote the music for one of his solo albums. He offered it to the group for inclusion on The Wall album. Waters wrote the words, Gilmour already had the music. Regardless, it's a well loved Floyd tune.
UltraDroid1 2 months ago
@UltraDroid1 I was correcting the OP on the what the song was about, not how it came to be. You're right about how the song came to be on the album, but the meaning of the lyrics is as I stated. There are many interviews that can be found where Waters discusses the meaning and source of the lyrics for this song.

@yourabuttkiss BTW I LOVE this song! #DavidGilmour is my favorite #PinkFloyd EVER! ;)
