I like the fact that you pulled it off but could have saved you a lot of time if you would have just went k-series. Just sayin, but I think you did a great job!
Well its been almost 2 years since the swap, found a few bugs and worked them out. Had an issue tuning the car, AF kept bouncing around badly, had to actually obsolete the factory ecu altogether as it was backfeeding signals somewhere. I installed an older style main relay to bypass the immobilizer and removed the other ecu. The only thing that could not be retained is the heat gauge, the ECT sensor is multiplexed so we could not get it to work. Installed a water temp gauge in the gaugepod
I think that this swap its illegal in the United States u can't swap an older engine into a newer car that's what I think I don't really know the details
@themuzer you obviously don't know anything about Honda's. A 2002 civic coupe does not come with a k series motor only the si trim which is the hatch. Civic coupes come with single cams just like most civics so with that being said and h22 is an excellent upgrade. Nice setup
very nice... how much was your turbo? I have an 01 EM2 also and i eventually want to turbo it but nothing too expensive. Also i have the D17A2 not the DOHC
i have been wanting to an h22 swap in my 04 civic for the longest time but i havent found anyone or anything to tellme how to do it or how hard it is...any ideas plz
man i would love to do this to my car bout iam lost with the hole honda thing i had a 86 camaro with a crab cazz i lost with all the cup stuff it scares me :(
Reason why owners do a k series is b/c it's newer technology and more advanced than the B series. If you go mod per mod between a K/B, the K will win every time with the exact same mods to both cars.
Why do a B16? that's only 160hp, might as well as swap in a k20a3 with less headaches and such. Putting in a b16b, you'll still be extremely slow.
madd props that a complicated swap me and the homie going to put v6 in eg hatch also might put one my 03 civic 4dr and are sleep project awd crv fully built gsr turbo!! stock hieght and exhaust SSHHH!!!!lol
Made them myself, they are one off mounts, would not be hard to duplicate them, nothing was cut and everything bolts in the stock locations. Oil pan and exhaust were the only things needing more than normal modification
the mounts were custom fabricated, they mentioned it in the description, im guessing they made it themselves....would be nice to get a pair, since i also have an em2, and to broke to get a K
No, Darton sleeves, CP pistons, Eagle rods, stock cams. Engine made 400 on stock internals but kepts taking ringlands out, needed to upgrade, and upgrade the chassis.
Do you have cams?

Thats only because K20 owns...
Nothing against the b16, or even the people who boost the D17
But K20 has more potential
