  • So do you all just not get snowed on like this in Buffalo? I live in Utah and this kind of snow isn't that unusual. Sorry about the tree through your roof, steviekillah.

  • desspec, the problem was that the snow was very early in the fall when all of the trees had not shed their leaves. Compounding this was that the snow was wet and heavy from the moisture gathered over lake erie. So to answer your question, yes we get snowed on like this in Buffalo just that these circumstances were much different

  • Ohh.. Okay. That totally makes sense. Thanks cwerely, and good luck to ya'll.

  • I am sure a number of people have responded to your question but I will respond anyway. The snow came earlier than usual. Most of the trees still had their leaves. The heavy, wet snow built on the leaves weighing them down, thus the limb breakage. Many limbs came down on power lines leaving 300,000 people without power. Our neighborhood (Williamsville) is comprised of many old home (Ours is 150 years old) with many old trees. Most were lost.

  • Thanks for repeating exactly what was just said. Dolts like you just like to chime in and act like your an expert on anything.

  • Sorry about that...

I am new to thing whole thing and didn't realize some already posted a response.
