@generalbullmoose How very true . . funny how he reappears to the political stage now after 2 1/2 years of a miserable administration. Where was he when all the socialism was being pushed? He's anti-Israel as well. He's like all the other RINO's except more strange.

ozonewbd...don't be an idiot. Article 1 Section 8 should be adhered to, fully... just
@DrkKnt802 Ok lets outlaw alcohol, its the causes of most traffic deaths. its also the number one cause of domestic violence. its the most abused drug in the country. and lets get rid of those nasty pharmacueticals that the FDA knowing allows to be grossly over prescribed yet the politicians are heavily invested in, thus its permitted. prohibition is not the answer and history repeatedly shows that it only creates more criminal behavior.
@ozonewdb Outlawing alcohol works for me, though I would rather destroy the entire supply that isn't used as disinfectant. There's no reason to get drunk, especially if you'll be driving afterward.
@DreamTiger5 we tried that once and it didn't work out so well. Also I don't think that its my nor your job to protect someone from themselves. If a fool wans to be a fool, as long as his foolishness does not effect me, then its his right to do so. so you up for the nanny state? willing to give away all your liberties to make sure you are safe? if so you deserve neither.
@DrkKnt802 and here is a question I would like to hear your reply. If it's completely legal for me to go to the "STATE" store and spend $20, and get enough alcohol to kill me or anyone that god forbid enters my path. yet Bill Gates cannot by enough marajuana to even do damage to himself. how is that justified? another question, If you have/had an 18yrs old daughter, would you rather that she drink vodka or smoke a joint? how about take zanax or smoke weed?
Drunk driiving didn't kill anybody back before that was legalized either. Amazing how many people point to the utter disaster ending prohibition has been for our society, as a reason TO make that deal with the devil AGAIN, and legalize marijuana.
BTW, California has released statistics showing a 55% increase in intoxication auto accidents NOT involving alcohol, since the Medical Marijuana laws were passed. Put another narcotic on the highways? You GOTTA be high!
@pimpdalyrical Yes, and that stat also includes hydrocodones, zanax, and other presciption drugs, which by the way, has surpassed weed as the most abused drugs. why don't you realize you will never force moralliy or virtue on others, it's impossible. when are you gonna attack the real danger, prescription drugs with the same fervor you do weed. why does the government KNOWING ALLOW THIS? Because they are invested in it plus they finance their campaigns. and no I don't use and haven't for years.
Rx's are illegal to have without a prescription, or operate a motorvehicle on.
This isn't about morals, it's about keeping those dumb enough to temperaily eradicate their human judgement from victimizing others. Will there always be stoner dipshits? Of course. that's why we HAVE TO keep you in line by making it illegal. So you keep your idiot self at home to avoid getting caught.
As for booze, being drunk isn't what's legal. Unlike pot it can be used moderately without effect.
@pimpdalyrical give me a break, first off, it's now easier for children to get painkillers than it is weed. second, the FDA openly admits that hydrocodene's are being prescribed at a rate of 10 times what it should be, oxycontin 100 times, and its a really nasty drug. and two drinks of alcohol and being in public is against the law. and third, tell my sisters MS doctor how much more YOU know about the use of weed as therapy than HE does. It is about you forcing your morals on others!
The diff is unlike weed, Alcohol and Pain killers CAN be used responsibly. No, it does NOT make sense to ease up on pot until society is ready to go after abused Rx drugs with the same furvor. NEITHER ONE is safe to allow!
Tell your sister's Dr. to comment. I'll tell him off and refer him to dozens more that can prove him wrong.
It's about not repeating past mistakes, on a worse level. No difference in moral values changes the fact that intoxicated people are dangerous.
@pimpdalyrical really? Are you Insane? Alcohol is the number one reason for domestic abuse and child abuse. Alcohol PHYSICALLY DESTROYS the liver, kidneys and brain. Ive yet to meet anyone that drinks "not to get a buzz"?????? give me a break? people drink for a "BUZZ"!! and you are going to educate a professor of medicine of Vanderbilt University???????? Nigger please! A pimp educating a prof.! LMAO , your shit is getting ridiculous.
All that happens because legalizing Alcohol made it soo much easier to abuse! THE SAME THING WILL HAPPEN TO WEED, you have no logical reason to doubt it!
Weed physically destroys braincells, will fuck up your lungs after long use, and God knows whatever tobacco company expands into that market will make it even worse. Pointing out how BAD legalizing one substance has gone is not an argument FOR doing it again, retard.
More Docs debunk Med. Pot. You're not smarter than THEM.
@pimpdalyrical weed does not destroy braincells, thats 50"s era propaganda from REALLY bad science. second of all, don't tell me I have not seen with my own eyes how weed lessens my sisters exacerbations. It's unreal you still fall for the evil weed propaganda. also, yes it does cause some lung damage if there is extremely heavy long term usage, which basically no one can afford or has reason too.and lets not even get on cigs. prohibition is and was a complete failure, from weak minded people.
More peole have had their lives ruined/killled since we ENDED prohibition. That's the failure.
And your sister's case doesnt help yours, since you're not advocating needing a prescription for weed to treat an illness. You're bitching about the unintended misuse of one RX, while advocating another.
California voted to let people like her delude themselves into thinking it helps, fine. Why should YOU be allowed to make yourself dangerously stupid?
@pimpdalyrical basically what you are saying is that you are right and rgardless of everthing telling you that you are wrong, you don't give a crap. you believe that the government should force everyone in line with your ideas and if not, lock them up or kill them all.You are probably the most un-american person i have ever debated with. nanny state is what you crave whole-heartedly. shove my morals down your throats, and make them swallow. very sad guy.
Says the guy who's own best argument, the horrible effects of easy-access intoxicants thanks to being legal, destroy his own advocacy for REPEATING the same mistake.
There's nothing patriotic about being a stoner dipshit, all you're going to do is put your own pathetic desire to reduce your mental function ABOVE the safety of the people whose path you will cross while doing so. That's not a right you have or deserve.
Do what you want. The laws just keep it necessarily restrained.
Not to mention, those perscription serve a purpose beyond how they are abused. There are people who ACTUALLY need those chemicals to live comfortably. Unlike the supposed medical benefits of Marijuana which are HORSE-FUCKING-SHIT!!!!!!
Every single supposed benefit can be achieved through non-narcotics.
@DrkKnt802 with your definition should texting be outlawed completely? How about eating which some places are now ticketing for? lets outlaw everything so you have no personal responsibilty and the nanny state takes care of you.
Doing drugs for recreation is what's sick mrthemasterbeatty! To be so naive that people don't do it to get their "kicks" is more then a little insane!
It's this kind of justification of drug abuse that's the problem!
@sunshine45986 yet most cities have twice as many bars than churches. abuse is and never will go away. its time to realize that "creating" crimes only produces more criminal behavior. if you drink or smoke doesn't that kinda make you a hypocrit? You do understand sugar and caffeine are "drugs"? You cannot force morallity or virtue on someone. This is my biggest problem with most social conservitive. And I am not a liberal. They are even worse.
@steverooni99 You too! And RE: "you won't see me walking around on eggshells for no one".That's the attitude.. we need to be proud of what we believe in and of being an American!!
Liberals hate Independence Day.... they say it illegally manipulates people into becoming conservatives. They are planning on doing away with it next year.
Liberalism is, by countless examples posted here, the party of hatred, rage, racism, anger, hypocrisy, liars, loathing, jealousy, atheism, and cruelty. And they call conservatives fascists. What a roll reversal. Start the fire then call the firemen who came to put it out arsonists. Thats progressive liberalism for ya.
@LordAtrocities Finally, someone else who isn't afraid to tell the truth. I've been watching anyone and everyone from the left doing just these things and many more for about 25 yrs. My eyes and ears work just fine and being that they do, I will always view anyone from the left with suspicion.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Note: upside down stars on the elephant... when did they turn them upside down? When George W Bush came into office,,, he had them done specially that way... in honor of his Satanic Gods
@tridentmovies the neocons want a police nanny state worse than liberals. They are always trying to force their morals down the throats of others. Time for a complete change of direction in this country.
@ozonewdb While i understand what you're getting it, you're wrong. Liberals are just as much the moralists as neocons are. Remember things like political correctness, "hate speech", diversity, affirmative action, tolerance etc. All things in which the liberal morality is forced down people's throats. And i'm not even mentioning the simple fact that liberals have done a 180 turn and now in majority support all the police state policies of Bush (such as TSA and Patriot Act)
I do agree with you that it is time for a complete change of direction, but the direction must be away from the state and toward individual liberty. Government must be de-legitimized as a "moral compass" of any kind, and seen for the oligarchy that it is. A consistent anti-government sentiment is needed (without any kind of violence, of course), and politicians must realize they are isolated, ridiculed, watched, scorned and put on notice.
Ron Paul would NEVER introduce a bill to socialize ANYTHING (not even Cheetos). Ron Paul is the only member of Congress who takes his oath of office seriously. So glad he is running for President again!
I'm serious ... Harvard University did a study on the 4th of July celebrations. They found that these celebrations energized the Republican base. 1. why was the study done and was it funded with our tax dollars ??? 2. what does that say about Democrats ????
It says democrats don't celebrate the ideals that founded this country. Why do you think they infest our institutions and actively work to overturn them?
@tridentmovies Spoken like a true pot smoker. All the important issues to be dealt with and the best these guys can do is try to legalize pot? Careful, that's how we got Obama the first time.
@ssur55: That's the only problem I have with libertarians: they lure you in with talk of small government & low taxes, then they start calling for drug legalization & gay marriage.
@tridentmovies He's liberal on social policies and weak on national defense.
If marijuana is handled very responsibly by physicians as a prescription for said cases of extreme pain, I'll lighten up on it, but it still doesn't sit right with me. I'm just afraid of people finding loopholes and abusing it and any possible side-effects, such as memory loss, distorted perception, loss of motor skills, decrease in muscle strength, increased heart rate, anxiety, etc. Oh, and addiction. That's not fun.
@DreamTiger5 said with that beer in your hand and cigerette in your lips! are you an actual goverment propagandist yourself? Because the things you state are proven LIES! Educate yourself and stop being sheep. and no I do not partake myself, but I for one am not STUPID enough to believe everything the government says.
@ozonewdb Uhm, no. No. And no. I'm a Conservative Republican and Jon Paul is, from what I've seen, Liberal on his social policies and weak on national defense. I don't like the idea of marijuana being legalized for the above listed reasons, as those are some symptoms of marijuana abuse, but will be more accepting if it's handled responsibly. It's currently illegal for a reason, after all. I don't really like gov't either, but it's not something we can easily get rid/ignore.
Yes, much better to suffer the effects of war, such as lifelong psychological trauma, amputation, torture or death. Or how about the effects of religious brainwashing. Gimme a break, you anti-drugs conservatives couldn't care less about the effects of drugs. You just like to legislate other people's pleasures because you consider pleasure to be evil. You're not anti-drugs. You're anti-freedom. You have no problem blowing people up so don't pretend to care about people.
You know how i know you don't care about the effects drugs have. Because drug users now get arrested and go to jail. That's how much you care about users. Let them rot in prison, where they'll probably be raped. Drug users also run a risk of having a SWAT team raid their home and blow them full of holes. How about those side-effects?
The war on drugs is a billion dollar industry that makes the state a lot of cash, provides jobs, and increases state power. That's all.
@tridentmovies It's a matter of perception. There's ways to recover from trauma and amputation, and they're probably easier than getting off an addictive drug.
Please refrain from making statements based just on your own political bias. I don't know about all conservs, but I care about human life and don't like the idea of controlling people's lives. Marijuana is a dangerous drug; I want to protect people from it. I don't like forcing my opinion, but I will if it's for their own good.
I'm judging on the basis of facts and logic. Your side of the spectrum has the tendency to not only force your will on other countries, but sacrifice thousands upon thousands of Americans to do so, no matter the cost. So am i supposed to believe you care for their well being? Furthermore, you contradict yourself. You can't say you don't like "controlling people's lives" and then go on to say you force your opinion on them "for their own good". You don't know anything about it.
At this point, i add that virtually every single person who wants to impose their opinion on others, including big government liberals, claim that they are doing things for other people's "own good". They act like oracles full of the only correct morality which they then with "clear conscience" force onto others through state violence or intimidation. Hey, drugs are bad for you, so now we're sending SWAT teams to you to shoot you and traumatize your family forever.
P.S. I really love how you actually have the nerve to downplay the effects of war on people, and how they are easier to deal with than addiction. You conservatives are just as bad as liberals when it comes to rationalizations and euphemisms. You truly are two sides of the same coin. You don't differ in anything except *where* to apply the full force of the police state while pretending to have the better sense of morality than the other side.
@tridentmovies We don't get a vote when the president goes to war, just the Congress. Yeah Bush was an idiot, but Obama is completely ruining the country. Paul is just a coward. And yes, I do things for the well-being of other people; I can't confidently others do, but I would hope so.
Say your friend is getting addicted to drugs; do you let nature take it's course, or try to get him to stop for the sake of his health and well-being? That's what I'm talking about.
@DreamTiger5 no actually you are the coward. Obama has invaded TWO other countries since entering office. where does it stop? You are more than willing to give up ALL your rights to feel protected by the government. those that sacrifice there liberty for security deserve neither. you are a colonalist empiristic pig that thinks might makes right. When are you gonna wake up and realize it only endangers our nation even more.
@ozonewdb Please stop making these assumptions about me based on absolutely nothing. I have no intention of sacrificing my civil rights to feel protected by the government I don't like. I don't mean we have to invade other countries; in fact I strongly disapprove of Obama invading Libya and whatever else. I would however support keeping up our national DEFENSE, and would have pursued Osama, unlike Paul. I like the idea of a true democracy where people make the big decisions; not congressmen
@DreamTiger5 really? you think that if we had told pakistan to give him up or lose all aid they wouldn't have coughed him up? that is what he said he would have done. Thats a win/win proposition. we did not have to invade another country. and the Iraq war was based on lies and only lies. Our border is being overrun by foriegn nationals and we don't defend the border at all. great national D there. do you not get that the military contrators dictate our foriegn policies?
You're no better than the God-damn liberals, putting their own self indulgence above the rights of others to work, earn, provide for their families and even live. You're no libertarian. You want chaos, permissiveness at all cost. I can't believe you're too stupid to know how dangerous a chemically repressed human mind can be, I think you just don't give a shit. So fuck you, from me and everybody else you're willing to risk so you can have a little fun.
@pimpdalyrical this from somebody with a lying neocon for a moniker. like I said and you just proved. you want a police nanny state, with everthing in your life directly dictated to you. keep building "for profit" prisons and lock up everyone that disagrees with you. your idea of freedom is you are free to agree only with you. stop treading on me. you know the difference between the asshole on your moniker and a guy in jail for drugs. The asshole didn't get caught. Fuck off Adolph Hitler
Moniker? That's a name. The picture? Purely meant to piss off retards. Like think Bush was conservative.
There's nothing "American" about imposing the burden of your depravity on your neighbors. Thats far left eastern block kind of thinking. Same mindset that redistributes earnings. You want to waste your brain, go ahead. You will do it in a manner that doesn't threaten the safety and rights of others. If that means making you afraid to do it in public, then so be it.
She is not funny. The Republicans need to find a real comic.

@LordAtrocities Finally, someone else who isn't afraid to tell the truth. I've been watching anyone and everyone from the left doing just these things and many more for about 25 yrs. My eyes and ears work just fine and being that they do, I will always view anyone from the left with suspicion.

This show is basically calling Ron Paul a socialist because he has the nerve to call for the war on drugs to stop?
If so, the people behind this show are really retarded. Neocons are MUCH CLOSER to being socialist than Ron Paul will ever be.

CDMJDMHHC 7 months ago
@tridentmovies the neocons want a police nanny state worse than liberals. They are always trying to force their morals down the throats of others. Time for a complete change of direction in this country.
ozonewdb 7 months ago
@ozonewdb While i understand what you're getting it, you're wrong. Liberals are just as much the moralists as neocons are. Remember things like political correctness, "hate speech", diversity, affirmative action, tolerance etc. All things in which the liberal morality is forced down people's throats. And i'm not even mentioning the simple fact that liberals have done a 180 turn and now in majority support all the police state policies of Bush (such as TSA and Patriot Act)
tridentmovies 7 months ago
@ozonewdb

Lady GaGa - Madonna part 2 ????
I'm serious ... Harvard University did a study on the 4th of July celebrations. They found that these celebrations energized the Republican base. 1. why was the study done and was it funded with our tax dollars ??? 2. what does that say about Democrats ????

Yeah, people like you should vote for Cain. People who love freedom, however, vote for Ron Paul.

@tridentmovies Spoken like a true pot smoker. All the important issues to be dealt with and the best these guys can do is try to legalize pot? Careful, that's how we got Obama the first time.
ssur55 7 months ago 2
@ssur55: That's the only problem I have with libertarians: they lure you in with talk of small government & low taxes, then they start calling for drug legalization & gay marriage.
thackery12 7 months ago 3
@tridentmovies He's liberal on social policies and weak on national defense.
If marijuana is handled very responsibly by physicians as a prescription for said cases of extreme pain, I'll lighten up on it, but it still doesn't sit right with me. I'm just afraid of people finding loopholes and abusing it and any possible side-effects, such as memory loss, distorted perception, loss of motor skills, decrease in muscle strength, increased heart rate, anxiety, etc. Oh, and addiction. That's not fun.
DreamTiger5 7 months ago 2
@DreamTiger5 said with that beer in your hand and cigerette in your lips! are you an actual goverment propagandist yourself? Because the things you state are proven LIES! Educate yourself and stop being sheep. and no I do not partake myself, but I for one am not STUPID enough to believe everything the government says.
ozonewdb 7 months ago
@ozonewdb Uhm, no. No. And no. I'm a Conservative Republican and Jon Paul is, from what I've seen, Liberal on his social policies and weak on national defense. I don't like the idea of marijuana being legalized for the above listed reasons, as those are some symptoms of marijuana abuse, but will be more accepting if it's handled responsibly. It's currently illegal for a reason, after all. I don't really like gov't either, but it's not something we can easily get rid/ignore.
DreamTiger5 7 months ago
@DreamTiger5
You have no problem blowing people up so don't pretend to care about people.
tridentmovies 7 months ago
@tridentmovies
That's all.
tridentmovies 7 months ago
@tridentmovies Where would you put Chuck Colson and prison Fellowship into this assessment?
mssnrykd 7 months ago
@tridentmovies It's a matter of perception. There's ways to recover from trauma and amputation, and they're probably easier than getting off an addictive drug.
Please refrain from making statements based just on your own political bias. I don't know about all conservs, but I care about human life and don't like the idea of controlling people's lives. Marijuana is a dangerous drug; I want to protect people from it. I don't like forcing my opinion, but I will if it's for their own good.
DreamTiger5 7 months ago
@DreamTiger5
You don't know anything about it.
tridentmovies 7 months ago
@tridentmovies
At this point, i add that virtually every single person who wants to impose their opinion on others, including big government liberals, claim that they are doing things for other people's "own good". They act like oracles full of the only correct morality which they then with "clear conscience" force onto others through state violence or intimidation. Hey, drugs are bad for you, so now we're sending SWAT teams to you to shoot you and traumatize your family forever.
tridentmovies 7 months ago
@tridentmovies
P.S. I really love how you actually have the nerve to downplay the effects of war on people, and how they are easier to deal with than addiction. You conservatives are just as bad as liberals when it comes to rationalizations and euphemisms. You truly are two sides of the same coin. You don't differ in anything except *where* to apply the full force of the police state while pretending to have the better sense of morality than the other side.
tridentmovies 7 months ago
@tridentmovies We don't get a vote when the president goes to war, just the Congress. Yeah Bush was an idiot, but Obama is completely ruining the country. Paul is just a coward. And yes, I do things for the well-being of other people; I can't confidently others do, but I would hope so.
Say your friend is getting addicted to drugs; do you let nature take it's course, or try to get him to stop for the sake of his health and well-being? That's what I'm talking about.
DreamTiger5 7 months ago
@DreamTiger5 no actually you are the coward. Obama has invaded TWO other countries since entering office. where does it stop? You are more than willing to give up ALL your rights to feel protected by the government. those that sacrifice there liberty for security deserve neither. you are a colonalist empiristic pig that thinks might makes right. When are you gonna wake up and realize it only endangers our nation even more.
ozonewdb 7 months ago
@ozonewdb Please stop making these assumptions about me based on absolutely nothing. I have no intention of sacrificing my civil rights to feel protected by the government I don't like. I don't mean we have to invade other countries; in fact I strongly disapprove of Obama invading Libya and whatever else. I would however support keeping up our national DEFENSE, and would have pursued Osama, unlike Paul. I like the idea of a true democracy where people make the big decisions; not congressmen
DreamTiger5 7 months ago
@DreamTiger5 really? you think that if we had told pakistan to give him up or lose all aid they wouldn't have coughed him up? that is what he said he would have done. Thats a win/win proposition. we did not have to invade another country. and the Iraq war was based on lies and only lies. Our border is being overrun by foriegn nationals and we don't defend the border at all. great national D there. do you not get that the military contrators dictate our foriegn policies?
ozonewdb 7 months ago
@ozonewdb
So fuck you, from me and everybody else you're willing to risk so you can have a little fun.
pimpdalyrical 7 months ago
@pimpdalyrical this from somebody with a lying neocon for a moniker. like I said and you just proved. you want a police nanny state, with everthing in your life directly dictated to you. keep building "for profit" prisons and lock up everyone that disagrees with you. your idea of freedom is you are free to agree only with you. stop treading on me. you know the difference between the asshole on your moniker and a guy in jail for drugs. The asshole didn't get caught. Fuck off Adolph Hitler
ozonewdb 7 months ago
@ozonewdb
