Had my gallbladder removed two days ago. Feeling very little pain today, but looking at this video helped me figure out why I was in pain the past two days. I also figured out how much we use our abs, geez.
I just had mine removed today, thank god i didnt see this before hand. I would have been shytless scared. But, I glad it's done and over with. I never imagine that I would have gone through something like this.....But, it's done and I still in a lil' pain, but not as bad before the surgery, thanks for posting.
wow thats interesting, I am having this done in four days and I was acctually really nervous but I like knowing what they are gonna do and I dont think it will be that bad. I am also an EMT so stuff like this doesnt really bother me to look at lol.
I have to have this done in 4 days. I also had a c-section 6 weeks ago and am not looking forward to the surgery, but anything is better than those attacks. Also I appreciate the other comments of the people who have had this done and are better for it. THANKS
surgery is the last way to remove your gallstones.before surgery i have taken lot of medicines but all in vain.now i am feeling relax.and touch wood now i am living fearless life.
3 stones on lap chole operation and two on ERCP, I don't know if that is a surgeon's malpractice and I'm thinking if I still want to find out- health care practitioners have different opinions.
however, since i was NOT diagnosed earlier that i also have common bile duct stones that its usual manifestations is that you will become yellowish in color or icteric, ultrasound is also clear so i was rushed again to the hospital after two days of right upper quadrant pain. Endospcopic retrograde cholangio pancreography (ERCP) was done, two stones were retrieved and now I'm back to school studying nursing in the Philippines.
the procedure is better than open cholecystectomy beacuse when you undergone open you'll got larger scar and the recovery time is longer that is about more than two weeks i think. However this kind of surgery has some complications like stones in the common bile duct may remain meaning bouts of biliary colic or pain will still be present after eating fatty food. I have this one last nov. 6
I'm having this done on November 5th. I have gallstones that are 4.5mm. Other than having my wisom teeth taken out a month ago...this is going to be my first surgery. But it's gonna beat being in hellacious pain.
Yeah definitely better than the attacks!! I just wish I didn't have to have it done the same week as my emergence c-section!!LOL and I wish it hadn't take so many attacks for the doc to finely figure out what was going on, I though my insides were gonna fall out!!! LOL
I just got this done yesterday! the pain isnt as bad as I thought it was going to be! I went back to eating normal food already, just stayed away from greasey food! i recommend the surgery to anyone!
I had this procedure done ten years ago.. recovery time was one week for me and I have one noticeable scar... well worth it.. sure beats those attacks.
I just had this procedure done and it is definally worth the afterward recovery pain... definatelly beats the "attacks"!!! 4 holes and a little lighter... YEAH!!!
I had a 20 year old friend who just had this surgery. What I'm wondering is: How does the body produce bile after this? There must be a long list of foods the person can't eat anymore.
Not really. Your liver takes care of most of the bile production AFAIK so you're still fine. As for me, I'm still eating the same food as before the operation.
Having this done on the 12th and I'm not looking forward to this part..couldn't make it thru the whole video.. guess I'm better off in the dark on this one.
Had mine out and wish to tell everyone if you can avoid it , do so. The doctors tell you zip about the after affects. Not everyone does well...

I had this done too, except with a full incision instead of laproscopy. Recovery is even worse that way.

Very true, my grandmother had that done as well and wa out of commission for two months. I guess I shouldn't have complained. -_-'
