  • The 3 dislikes are Colts fans!

  • new weekly indianapolis bicycle adventure ---> watch?v=41GGNMAAtEg

  • ive loved this song for 15 years but dont like the part about the sex offence

  • Is it true that Brian wrote this song when he was a roadie for Uncle Tupelo?

  • @revco68 Yes it sure is. But I believe he was more than a roadie...... :-)

  • Hell yeah down with John Cougar! Great band here!

  • Germans can't get enough Americana can they?

  • I'm from Indiana and as result I fucking hate John Mellencamp.

  • did that chick really say Paramore!?!? poor thing

  • @WestFargoPackerFan I agree

  • I'm from Indianapolis. I love it here. However, when he says can't go west and can't go east I think refers to all of the one-way streets in the city. Every road is a one-way. It's awful.

  • @WestfargoPackerFan i actually sound sifistacated

  • Paramore is so much better, then this. the soud like country hicks.

  • @horselover0730 horselover? you sound like a country hick, lol.

  • Cant go West, cant go East, I'm stuck in Indianaplois with a fuel pump thats deceased

    Another great lyric!

  • I heard this song on youtube right before I got stuck in indianapolis. LOL Life is beautiful...

  • This guy's got a really great rock voice. It just cuts through....and is distinctive while familiar. And great songs don't hurt.

  • Sorry you had a bad time....

    Where are you guys from?

  • your disgusting

  • GREAT SONG.. if you like it you should check out radar gun by these guys

  • Great song ..my baby sister sent it to me cause I am stuck in Indianapolis...Laughed my ass off. I agree on the lyric I'll puke if that jukebox plays John Cougar one mure time..that was brillant

  • These guys are one of the best live bands, ever!

  • old farts haha

  • Great rockin' country! Or is that alt.country?!!!

  • Fuckin' groovin' and ravin' like it's nobody's business.

    Damn!

    Damn!

  • Way underrated band!

  • One of the greatest rock bands in the midwest hands down! Holy Bakersfield harmonies!!

  • WELL PUT....Couldnt have said it better myself. :-)

  • love it its badass Their good

  • I saw them on tour with Lucinda Williams a few years ago. Great, great show. They really seem too good to be an opening act for anyone. I saw Wilco open for Richard Thompson a while before that- they were too good to open as well.

  • Hats off to the Peavey T-60 !!I

  • @TomKatRecords

damn right I have a Peavy T-40 Bass and love it heavy as hell but its a great piece

  • "I'll puke if that jukebox plays John Cougar one more time." One of the great lyrics of all time.

  • Awesome song. Play it purdy for Cameron McCabe. One of my dear friends favorite songs and he is no longer with us.

Play it loud, play it proud boys.

  • love this song

  • great goddamn band..great song!!

  • Comment removed

  • i hate country music but this is actually a decent

  • This song is one of my favorites! Hilarious! I love the lead singer's voice... it's so unique.

  • i know the guy in the orange shirt his name is keith. he is my dads best friend i hang out with him and my dad when he is not touring

  • WOW! a brush with greatness!!

  • ramus wfpk 91.9 public radio louisville

  • i luv louavul!

  • there always on public radio here in KY

  • Where always on public radio in KY?

  • smart playing, clever writing and they always cut onstage. And of course, they're never on the radio people hardly know they exist. The great ones seem to never get heard. I love this country, but sometimes it makes me sick. The sheep follow what CMT,VH-1 or MTV says is great. Sad.

  • I was most upset to learn that this was not a video for the punk band by the same name.

    damn*

  • Your foreign policy sucks America but your legacy to the world will be music.

  • I do not know what this has to do with the Bottle Rockets, But As for your comment greatngood, If it was not For the U.S you would be speaking German and I Japanese. I love this Band by the way..

  • thanks, i agree and i live in the us lol

  • One of the best live acts around. They rock!!!

  • I'm stuck too!

  • Wow

  • You simply cannot say enough about how good this band really is, and I will never stop telling people about them.

  • Listen to this... I watched this brilliant band play for around 90 people in Davenport, Iowa while just across the river, friggin Kellie Pickler from American Idol played for around 10,000. A crime, a real crime...but I was at the right show...the Rockets simply cooked!

  • Whoo, my favorite band in my home country! These guys are great and smart. And screw GWB!!!

  • Can't go west. Can't go east. Whoooooooooooooooo doggy!

  • Bottle Rockets - unrealized genius by most of the world.

  • Hailing from the Hoosier state I find the tune amazingly apt. The question, "Is this Hell or Indianapolis?" succinctly summarizes my feelings about Indy. Brilliant!

  • The best band! The best sound!! I went to college with Mark and never knew how much I'd love the sound of his band!

  • Great tune! Haven't cared much for their past few albums but the earlier stuff is killer

  • maybe these guys can ride the Wilco alt country wave that's going around now. great sounding rock band no matter how you categorize them.

  • Where have you been? These guys were around waaay before Wilco.

  • that wasn't my point. wilco/tweedy is an absolute media darling right now, drawing a lot of extraordinary attention to a genre of music that bands like the bottle rockets and sun volt and calexico have been toiling in obscurity under. hence - my wilco analogy.

  • seem to have kinda forgotten that Tweedy and Farrar invented the damn genre in the 80s with Uncle Tupelo ;)

  • I think you mean Jason And The Scorchers;-).

  • Well, Henneman was right there with them, jamming in the Blue Moons while the boys from UT were still in the Primatives.

That does explain why Henneman ended up playing lead guitar for Wilco on AM.

  • The point I was making is mostly that it's unfair to blame wilco for being media darlings over Son Volt, given that Son Volt is effectively Jay Farrar, whose roots are precisely the same as Tweedy's.

  • Great Band....

Brooklyn Side was one of the best alt. country CD's ever in my opinion!

  • Maybe the most underrated band I can ever remember.

  • Grooving and raving, baby, just cutting a groove. Just as pure and simple phucking Rock 'n' Roll as you please.

  • awesome quality, amazing band, incredible song..thank ya so much

  • this song is one of my favorite road trip tunes ever. definitely worth downloading the studio version which rocks a bit more...

  • I saw these guys in NY last fall, amazing show. They closed with a great version of Surrender sung by the bassist.

  • Dig the Peavey T60 guitar.

  • Congratulations everyone on even knowing who these people are. Says alot about your ability to recognize real talent when you see and hear it.

  • Great band, totally underrated. and Brian is a great guy.

  • I agree, great band!

  • These guys are one of America's great bands. Brian Henneman is a brilliant songwriter and guitar player and their latest album, Zoysia, is genius! And no, I'm not in the band, but my band does several Bottle Rocket songs.
