  • That is fixable, as in 15 minutes fixable. Similar break on my T-28 Trojan from park-zone and I had it flying again in minutes. Super glue works wonders!

  • Are doing it wrong. Just go have fun with it. That plane flies better than any trainer I have ever flown and IMO makes a wonderfull trainer so go have fun with it, remember your surface checks every time, and might wanna keep the cowl off till your comfy with the plane haha

  • Dont let these guys get you down, just looks like some servo reversing and wind or maybe just some bad luck. My advice is to get her up, level, and get her straight before an aggressive climbout like that. I'm sure the girl could handle it but for a first flight keep it simple. As for getting a Trojan, or sticking with a night vapor or any of the get this trainer you can't have a corsair bs they are all mainly pricks who think they are right all the time and if you don't do it a certain way you

  • Get the T-28, it's more docile and controllable for a first or second plane. Forget that cheap flight sim and go to an airfield with instructors that can teach you to fly and don't forget to get involved in the AMA for insurance coverage & liability purposes...

  • ouch!

  • i've had a parkzone spitfire for six months it is staying in the box untill i can fly a cheap trainer without crashing it (i'm on my second plane!)

  • How the hell?

  • What an idiot...

  • Slightly go foreard on the trottle about 60% elevator up slowly to 50 ft the go as high as comfotable(its just what i do)

  • HORRIBLE take off kid !!!!!!

  • That's the wrong plane for him. Get him a Parkzone Night Vapor!

  • This makes a great first plane, shouldve had an expert take it up first and trim it. Were your servos reversed?

  • I think you just had bad luck with centering the GC, it liks like it was tail heavy and that;s why it did that.

I tried flying a mustang p-51d for my first plane and it flew ok for about 1 min before I crashed it, not bad for first time ever flying a plane, and it wasn't well balanced.

  • OUCH! All you need is a Crashproof Plane! Checkout the Killerplanes channel vid at /watch?v=vCbNQe-81Ok and Laugh your crash off!

  • Dude WHAT the heck it makes me sick seeing a grown man crashing a perfecly good plane come on!!!

  • @xxsekoxx this was my second plane and I have never crashed it hard. If you are coming from a three channel to this four channel, make sure you try a sim first. Three channels with only rudder, elevator and throttle will not roll. A big mistake people make when transferring from three channes is that they allow the plane to get upside down and then don't know how to react. I beliee the corsair glides a little better than the p-51 so I would suggest the corsair. And it comes with landing gear.

  • I was thinking of getting the corsair for my second plane.. haha seconds thoughts now! maybe the P51?

  • Try a sim first buddy, will save you money. All the best.

  • how much does that plane cost?

  • A lesson learned. Thats too bad I think that a T-28 would have made a much better 2nd plane. It's a eaiser on the learning curve. Then after the T-28 try the corsair. To go from a supercub right to a fighter is a big step if one lacks the flight time on a good transistion plane like the T-28. I am sure by now your a much better pilot. Its all good fun thats how we learn. :-)

  • My buddy and I fly the hell out of this plane all the time just for kicks, it is great for days when we don't want to fly anything nice because of weather or when our RC trucks are trashed. Put everything else away and pull this out of the vehicle and have landing competitions and any other dumb crap we can think of.

  • It's this difficult to fly?

  • All the gear and no idea.

  • He is used to flying a Super Cub which is a three channel plane. You can see he tries to turn it like the cub and all it does is want to roll. This is a good second plane. I actually started with the cub and moved to the corsair. Love it!

  • @benkretz I am thinking of doing the same exact thing. Ive had enough with the cub, you really think this is a good second plane? what about the P51?

  • Good ol' Corsair doing what it likes to do best, CRASH.

  • that was not that hard of a fix was it? the wings just needed to be re screwed on right?

  • I recieved one of these and a micro p51 for my birthday, i have never been in rc planes, i can fly the p51 mustang pretty damn well now (1 new fuselage later) but im still not to sure if i should fly corsair quite yet, i will be borrowing a simulator this weekend, should i wait to fly or go for it?

  • @cfwi can you please tell me how much you payed for this. Thanks

  • @LegittGod39 I got it as a gift with the tag on it....259.99

  • tht poor figurine inside we salute u :,(

  • Don´t fly if you can´t fly, lol

  • I have just got this plane. and i must say that it looks really nice. my first flight with this would be tomorrow, the reason i bought this one is beceause i have a hobbyzone supercub that i can fly very well., But somehow this plane ( Corsair ) intimidates me. anybody that have some tips on how to get her up and flying in a safe matter?. i can see that the "fail" in this video is too much power on takeoff. so i think I will go a bit more slow first time. hehe anyway great video.

    =)

    David

  • It is a fact that there is no substitute for experience. I have so many flights like that early on, esp with a new plane that is not trimmed in. You should see some of my wrecks, I have a pile on our site. I love the kids comments, thanks alot.

  • try half throttle next time dumbass

  • ok to let u know im 15 and i have this model and i have flown it at least 15 times since yesterday. u have to pull back on the elevator or else u will flip like that all the time. :)

  • haha lol easy on that throttle.

  • this used to be my absolute favorite plane to fly, but then i bought the parkzone extra 300. If u have "mastered" the corsair, buy the extra 300!! im only 14 and i can fly it easily.

  • what prop is that on the super cub?

  • I take mine to a shallow hill say in a park , in to wind and leave the motor off and just test glide it, if it all goes well then the next launch apply power slowly and just ease her out dead straight and climb away, good luck , nice plane. so much to learn, but worth it ,.

  • That first take off is exactly what i did to my parkzone T-28. . . But on concrete

  • This vid cracks my sh!t up!! I just bought this same plane yesterday and plan to take it to a free instruction session in a couple days. This vid scares me b/c the last time I flew a plane was an 1988 Electra glider - 6ft wingspan 20 years ago. The kids comments are hilaaaaarious!

  • "Not a scratch on her...." Until now!

  • @vladimir1206 -- The corsair CAN use the same two bladed prop as the t28 but because it's a scale model, the parkzone corsair comes with the 3 bladed prop. I have the t28 and it's a wonderful plane as well :-)

  • ailerons reversed?

  • I has this as my seccont plane! It flew great, I loved the thing. Put a ton of flight on it, verry durable. then... came the FIRE!

  • @PinkYakRC it caught fire??

  • @RcAntax I added a video responce... if I didn't click on my profile. (Lipo do catch fire!)

  • LOL the kids are Hilarious!!! All seriousness, I want a Corsair for my second plane...Now I'm not so sure.

  • He put it on high rates you shouldn't do that till your comfortable with the plane

  • lol u fail

  • You live and learn :-)

  • first takeoff was an epic fail

  • stupid video

  • Derka,der,

  • I have the Parkzone Corsair. It is my first 4 channel RC. The plane before was a skyfly 2(piece of crap). Anyway, I have only crashed the Corsair 1 time and I think its because I mounted the horizontal stabilizer to far back. This caused me to not be able to get a proper trim. I bought another one because it was way too damaged. This plane flies very easily, and lands real real nice. I have flown it over 15 different times and have never had a problem. No crashes, no broken pieces, nothing.

  • dont buy the corsair get the hobbyzone cub or something the corsair is to responsive to control imputs. and check your ailerons, make sure they agree with the direction on control imput

  • @riddlebrandanthe other plane was a hobbyzone supercub in the video

  • if that was balsa that would of been a disaster but it dident look all that bad but i supose i could only see1 side of it. hows it doing now u still got is after like almost 2 years lol i supose ur a pro bye now lol :D

  • Typical of the learning process. We have all done it and those who say they haven't are lying or not trying. was it reversed (ailerons). Did you find out why this happened? Take off more gradual with less stick movement and set your throw to low movement on your Spektrum, upper right control. Buy a simulator if already haven't and spend the money on that for the meantime instead of planes and time. Please visit some of my videos.

Keep it up and get the kids involved. Good Luck!

  • ahahaha

    "bye bye birdie*

  • that hurts me and its not even mine.....OUCH!Learn to fly on a sim instead of ruining a perfectly good plane!

  • the controls were backward thats y it crashed

  • oh shit'!

  • god you suck!

  • @riddlebrandan hes a learner give him a break we all do it

  • Oops. Looks like you didn't set the throws. This plane is REAL squirrely on high throws. Turn 'em down and she will be a LOT of fun. I LOVE my Corsair. And the trick, if you can afford it, is to order TWO cowlings and props - you won't have to wait a month next time. And as for balsa vs foam - I have both, but I don't walk away from a balsa wreck saying, "Engh, a little CA, no big deal."

  • go try and fly with Nintendo games man :)..joking

sorry about ur airplane,i have 2 rc airplane (cesna & Bf140) and all of it r foam planes, crush many times and easy to glue then fly again ;)

    foam planes are the best

  • i wouldnt bother buying a foam plane, you know its going to break, spend a lil more and buy the balsa planes

  • @whodanigggabe why would you do that you can glue foam planes back together and even if it is totally smashed the parts are cheap compared to balsa parts

  • the corsair was my first rc plane and it is easy to fly and fun to fly.

  • High Rate vs Low Rate being set on first flight, perhaps?

    I love this plane.

  • parkzone corsair was my first rc airplane and i crashed 4 times and repaired it and it flyies perfect.

  • HAHAHA FAIL try the pz trojan

  • what I don't understand... upload a vid.... get 17000 views and don't sign in for 5 months or respond to any comments? sheesh.

  • lol!!! the kid "NICE!" on 0.42 licked his dad!

  • looks like he pulled up and kept pulling up until up was down

  • bahahahahah awesome

  • OMFG i hate u

  • I can't figure out what happened, I have this plane and you had more than enough speed on take off, looks like the elevator was reversed on the first take off, like up was actually down... the second one is even more of a mystery. Just be really light on the sticks, this bird can really maneuver. gentle tap.

  • Just got it, squirrly take off and climb out, very sensitive, but... once trimmed, a blast... good fun but not for rokie.

  • FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i really want to get this plane. The corsair is one of my fav wwII era planes, besides the spitfire. But I have only flown a mini cub so far, and have crashed..but the plane is so light it doesnt hurt it much..and is fun.

I think im going supercub next, then the corsair or the Habu at some point when money permits

  • the corsair should be an easy transition from a super cub or any plane really, you just gotta remember and be smooth with the controls, it looks as if you gunned it at full throttle, took off too soon, and crapped your self at the speed and panicked and did some squirmy whirly stick inputs

this thing will take off at half or 3rd throttle

let it take off with very little elevator and not too much power and you will be fine

  • With nearly a years practice on the Realflight simulator I thought I was ready with the PZ Corsair; needless to say.. I crashed and burned. Whilst waiting for the new parts I bought the Hobbyzone Mini SuperCub. Gr8 plane to practice on. Flying the F4U without any problems now! Stick to it!!

  • hey yep the corsair is not a plane for begginers !... if u want to learn RC electrics u need to get the easy star! it teachs u all the lefts and right of this hobby and once u have mastered it u can move on to something a little more challenging!.... but the easystar is in muy opinion the first plane all begginers should start with! my next door neighbor wanted to start and he chose the easy star without me even having to tell him and it worked out perfet then we added a brushless inrunner!!!

  • I disagree. The Parkzone Corsair is one of the BEST 2nd airplanes. It flies like a dream.

  • I will second that. This is my second airplane and I am a self taught pilot. During my first flight I flipped the high rates on. My second flight was in high winds. The plane flies like a champ.

  • @djmoosecom I aggree, this is a good 2nd plane but you should still give the simulator a shot first... thats how I tought myself to fly.

  • I just got this plane, total beginner, and I was lucky, yes very lucky to have found a RC instructor and real pilot with 50 years experience. He took it really high, hell I was flying in circles and lost orientation!!! Its just a foam plane, but now I'm scared to death of it. If I hadn't met this instructor, it is clear it would be goner big time. looks like I have lots more training before I will ever have control of a plane like this!!!!

  • Hey you should get the Hobbyzone Supercub Lp. It was my first plane. Its a great trainer to gain your skills up to flying the Parkzone Corsair.

  • since I got a instructor I'll pass on the supercub, I' m getting a tw 109 this week because its cheap and I like the idea of flying the low wing style. But the corsair ain't going up without my friend on hand for awhile. I 'm hooked on warbirds.

  • 1:17 bro... its sitting right there lol

    just has a painted wing

  • I don't understand what you're saying...this pz corsair is SO EASY to fly....I mean...really...it is...

  • damn kid........thinks itrs funny.....he got what he deserved

  • i think that a 2-3 ch would be better for you.... so you can learn how to use the sticks a little bit better, plus they're a lot cheaper

  • Idk what happened but my parkzone spitfire (a while back) had reversed ailerons which i didn't check, didn't end well. Flew eventually though, i've now moved on to the f27c stryker :3

  • I had a crash with mine that resulted in the exact same damage. Glued the plastic fasteners back into the wing and it flew perfect.

  • best of luck for future flights. o and check check check before every flight. i also find setting the trim to pull the plane up slightly helps alot on take off

  • haha. ive seen this many times, just be really delicate with the controls and dont even attempt a turn until your above the tree's. gives your plenty of time to correct any errors. also make sure you are using low rates on your first flights, taking off into the wind and dont fly if your too shaky and nervous

  • I have this as my second plane aswell its my first plane with airlerons and it had and ok maiden but what happen is i came in for a low flyby and i lost orientation and forgot what was right and what was left and it went in fast but it only ripped out one on the main landing gear and at the rear of the plane a little bit of foam came out but it glued back together and ill give it another go tommorow lol. Hopefuly no crahes lol

  • I had a similar problem. While taking off, it drifting left, so i put in right aileron and it went farther left and crashed. Its simple. Just switch the control inputs because it was probably inverted.

  • dam unlucky

  • probably reversed elevator

  • I agree. The grass was not the problem. I have several of these corsairs and they fly awsome. From the video it looks like a simple case of pilot error. The plane was airborn and climbing. Looks like you rolled it unintentionally or and then panicked. One thing you may want to consider is removing the stock motor mount and making your own out of plywood. I kept breaking the stock mounts. Now i use plywood and havent broke one since.

  • I agree with above. I have one of these. They fly amazingly and this is really my first plane. I did have another but really that gave me no experience (it flew off!).

The only breakages have been entirely down to my rubbish landings :)

  • I love the kid's response

  • i tried my first corsair flight this morning...did a hand launch and must have jolted the battery pack to the front of the nose as i did...the CG was thrown off and it nose dived. now i gotta wait a week for a new motor mount :S

  • I doubt the battery being to far forward was a problem. The battery compartment is designed in a way to make that almost impossible. I have several corsairs with bigger motors and batteries and have only noticed a slight change in CG. Maybe about 1/4 inch forward.

  • Ya know it doesnt NEED full throttle to lift off. In fact, you should take it slow your first time up because you havnt trimmed anything yet. It has enough power to climb strait up out of the box, maybe try just over half throttle next time?... and make sure your on low-rate. Just an opinion. Nice video.

  • Yeah... I agree now :)

I've mastered this plane now and have already made it one of my favorite planes to fly.

  • that usually means that there is a problem between the trasnmitter and reciever and it's not getting complete signal.

First... rebind the two, then do a complete range check (that should have been in your original manual for the corsair).

  • yes. the t28 and corsair share thier engine parts. Prop and motor mount are the same between both birds.

  • Not usually.

    It will cutoff if...

    1. your battery is dead

    2. it looses signal from the radio (which can occur if your batteries are low in the radio)

    3. you put on the wrong prop and overloaded the ESC (it would usualy be followed with a smoking melting fire)

  • why did you say yet...you jinxed your self...

  • ive got the gunali version of this and the tail was bent left but ive kinda sorted it and i hope it doesnt affect the way it flys!

  • The wheel would not do that.. This plane has enough forward momentum to keep it going if it hit a blade of grass. That ws pure pilot error, from what seems like too much turn, or reversed ailerons. Not a blade of grass.

  • torque steer...lol

  • wait till u get hight till u try to pull something off like that

  • I have this exact plane sitting wrapped under my Christmas tree right now! I am very excited. This is my first plane, I only flew helicopters until this corsair. I loved the look of it and couldn't resist. I have heard all the "nay sayers" about a poor choice for a first bird but WHAT EVER! that is what they said about my Trex 450. lots of sim time though (lots of snow and cold in Canada). good luck with that plane, you will get it no problem, you should post your progress on here

  • I started flying on the hobby zone super cub and now I just got this one for christmas. It is fantastic. However, I highly suggest you don't start flying on this plane. (I am aware that it is past christmas now, and you have probably already flown it). So all I can say is good luck! Hopefully the sim time will help.

  • This is for spenceandang, btw.

  • where in Canada are you ? I'm from Montreal and should have received my by now but ups said I might have it friday. I plan to fly it on snow but it's a little too cold now. Hopefully next week temperatures will be milder ... If your close to Montreal , maybe we can fly together. I,m also building a hangar 9 corsair 60 with 91 OS surpass that I will fly this spring. Talk to you soon.

  • Please go to a club and actually learn to fly. That was not good. You'll learn alot with real stick time, even from that little cub.

  • the plane plane really isnt that hard to fly

  • my opinion...

I think your CG is to far back and your airlons need some trimming. I love that plane. Im still learning but I really want that exact model eventually. Good luck.

  • keep flying that supercub you got laying there buddy... thats the bird i learned to fly on. by the way, it helps not to let go of the elevator control when you are 3" off the ground. I have to say though, first flights are always nerve racking for every new plane you fly.have it checked out to make sure its in top shape, then fly again. if you are friends with the hobbyshop employee, have him/her go flying with you to help you learn on a new a/c. happy flying!

  • i live there!!! i flew my plane yesterday at ogden park... today were flying and either at ogden or olsen parks.

  • what town is this in? looks like my town

  • Wilmington, nc

  • You sound a little like Tom Lehrer

  • haha im 12 and started flying when i was 9 and ive always loved flying. this is an expensive choice, but its what i started with. learn to fly nitro gas planes and then go to electrics. i now have my license and ima flying expert!

  • im 12 and im starting a begginer plane the sky soldier then ill try the super cub then the parkzone t-28 hopefully then the corsair

  • i went straight to the cub for my first plane, and i learned how to fly very fast from that. dont take too many babysteps when your learning to fly. i know i did, i went through two cubs then i went to the t28. baby steps cost you alot of money. although i must say i am quite a good t28 pilot. i think im getting the corsair for christmas

  • whas it the CG balance?

  • Nothing to worry about ive been flying RC planes scince the age of 12 and im 17 now and still crash them. In fact just today i was flying the parkzone mustang in my back field and i carsh because i was watching my bro landing and not concentrating. It's the worst thing to do taking your eye off your model, chances are everything will go very quiet and you know whats happened!

  • Was the elevator reversed to? On the first take off you came up then immediatly nosed it over. On the second it just went crazy. Looks like to heavy of a stick. I'm a noob but I still spend about 10-15 minutes a day on a sim. You can not spend to much time on a sim IMO. The movemets have to become second nature. I'm getting close to a T-28 and 4 channels. Get some vids up the successful flight...you'll get it going!!

Kids...10 seconds of joy and 30 years of misery(Gib...True Lies).

  • That kids comment was hilarious "Bye Bye Birdie" Nice these planes can be rebuilt isn't it? I have a J3 Cub and shes been through half a dozen props and has all new body (wing, fuselage and tail feathers, front cowlings.... lol I would be broke if it were a home built/nitro. Check out the 'Flycameone2' I'm going to post some footage eventually.

  • Out of the box my rudder was reversed and I flew for about 3 minutes like that!, not as serious as ailerons though!...ouch!

Check out my first flight vid :)

    happy flying

    :)

  • The corsair is a great plane but if its one of your first Aileron warbirds put it back in the box and start out with another Aileron plane.

  • The kids had that reaction because we had 4 consecutive equipment failures on the modified supercub (the one you see a quick glimpse of in the video). Each one ended in a horrific crash. We spent day after day trying to track down what ended up being a bad solder joint on one of the leads coming from the brushless motor. It was just one of those "oh no not again" moments.

  • the crash realy didnt look that bad. mine is in about 11 different pieces

  • Wow your kids are pricks.

  • I'm sure you are more supportive of your kids than they are of you. Why are they so bratty?

  • i started with supercub and went on to t-28 then a typhoon ,in this hobby you learn by your mistakes, take no notice of other comments and get practice, precheck everything, hope your plane is ok.fms simulator works a treat.

  • I finally figured out what happened. I had the ailerons reversed, my local Hobby shop confirmed it.

I've got 80+hrs stick time on my supercub (which you see briefly in the video), and this was my first bird with ailerons. I won't ever make that mistake again.

She's almost rebuilt - replaced the motor mount, repaired the wing joints, peiced together the cowling and picked up new airleron servos today-one of them stripped out in the crash.

I'll be ready to try again this weekend.

  • Don't get down, keep at it, but do me a favor and put one of the tykes on the sticks and let them see how "easy" it is.

  • easy fix. Get someone with more experience to put her up for your first few flights until you get her dialed in and get the feel.

  • Has he even flown a plane before

  • Sorry to see you crash. Dont let peoples negative comments get you down. If you can fly the super cub, you will be flying the corsair in no time. I went from the super cub to the t-28 with no problems. It seems to me that you may have taken off too fast for your experience. Try 3/4 throttle for take off.

    Good luck

  • I would check out ClearView flight sim, don't know much about FSOne but have nothing but good things to say about Clearview. They have a T28 model (all models free once you pay for program) that flys just like the F4u - will get you up to speed quicker! I also second the CA comments, can be back flying that again in 5 minutes even if motor mount is cracked just epoxy it till new arrives - happy flying!

  • I don't think unexperienced is the word. I don't call someone unexperienced if he tries to flies by himself with no experience.

I think the good word may be "dumb".

  • great comment, thanks to assholes like you this hobby is dieing, how about a few words of encouragment?? is it so hard

  • diet coke.

  • 5 minute apoxy glue and you'll be flying in no time aslong as you dont have electrical issues or need a new motor mount?

  • dang those 2 kids couldn't fly worth crap they piss me off and thats an easy fix once you get the parts just put some gorrila glue on wing shave it down and some sim practice

  • I've had similar damage to my Trojan while showboating inverted flight. Shouldn't be too hard to fix up and have flying again. I use E-flite CA and it makes a nice bond supplemented with clear packing tape. Concerning ailerons, they looked good to me in the video. Just remember with the SuperCub you can pull out of trouble and with ailerons you ROLL out of trouble. That was perhaps the scariest lesson for me to learn when I went from 3channel to 4+.

  • I think if the ailerons were reversed you would have oticed that right before she crashed seeing it went left and not right...also that may be to big of a jump for you..if i were you i would pratice more with the cub and simulator... why ruin a perfectly nice plane if you don't need to

  • Ouch. That just makes me sick. Good luck with the repair and I hope you get it flying again soon.

  • Not sure if the ailerons were reversed... that'll be something I'll need to check. I've only flown the Supercub before and didn't think to check that. thx

  • did you have the ailerons reversed? when you give it right aileron, the right aileron should go up and the left down. don't look to bad,a bit of opoxy should be able to fix her right up. doese this use the same motor mount as the t-28, if so you could use one of them, or if the motor mount is just cracked you could epoxy it.
