  • this movie sucked

  • @chrisrocks741 fuck off loser

  • @RattLHEAD2DTH Everyone has the right to dislike a movie/book/music etc. , but I agree I don't get it why people hate or dislike this movie. it's (one of) the best Italian horror

  • @9001Erwin it's one of my personal favorite movies. And i probably wouldn't have said that if there they had said some reason as to why they did not like it. Comments like that always leave me thinking that they did not actually watch the movie, and are just trolling to get a reaction

  • As much as I hate admitting it, I didn't like Suspiria. Now before anyone goes berserk, let me tell you that the colors and visuals to this movie were very creative and fun to look at, and Goblin did a great job with the music. Unfortunately, the music was often too loud to be scary at parts, the acting was a little hammy, and it could have been just because I had a bad DVD, but the sound was terrible. It wasn't the worst horror movie I've seen, but it definately wouldn't be in my Top Fifty.

  • How could anyone dislike this? It is really cool

  • one of the best progressive rock bands in Italy.... this music is just legendary

  • movie sucked. Theme was legendary

  • @LoboFan1000 you gotta be kidding me to say this movie sucked...

  • Suspiria.

  • I have heard that there are many versions of this movie around. I saw one and it wasnt scary at all. What do you think is the best version?

  • @DDentonas Definately 1977 I wouldnt be suprised if it didnt scare you cuz its an old movie, but its pretty creepy and disturbing.. You gotta be in the right mood to watch this, I suggest smoke a big one and enjoy

  • untilthenightdies I agree

  • I want to pull a prank on my roommate when he comes home from work one night with this song... Have this song softy playing as he enters our apartment with a red light bulb lit while I am holding a knife. I think that might stir up the ol' kicker on Marky boy LOL

  • They wanna do a remake !!! WITH NICOLAS CAGE !!!

I knew, 2012 it ends all.

  • @mansonfan128 He already done a crappy remake!

  • @mansonfan128 oh FUCK no. anyone but nicolas cage... please. or tom cruise/matt damon, etc. they should use an unknown actor. or even better, not make the remake at all. ha

  • 病み付きになってほぼ毎日聞いてる。

    何かイケないことをしてる気がする(笑)

  • argento rules. love his use of color

  • 素晴らしい

  • Weather People!

  • come far paura solo con la musica: GOBLIN !!! bravissimi

  • After watching some of Argento's other stuff, I now realize how incredibly important this theme was to Suspiria. Argento did a great job with Suspiria too, but without music like this, his other films just lack so much.

  • @championskyeterrier yeah, this music takes the movie to a different dimension. so good. it really takes it from being a great horror movie to being one of the best ever.

  • @championskyeterrier Agree...This movie was always about the music for me... some very vivid and intense images as well of course but the soundtrack makes it so intense. Music is the most important element to a film I think!

  • @championskyeterrier interesting point. Phenomena has great music though. (so does tenebre, but i prefer argento's more supernatural films)

  • suspiria is the kind of movie where no matter how many times you watch it, it's still scary. at least to me, and i've seen plenty of the scariest movies out there, but this one gets scarier everytime i watch it.

  • Seriously, this song scares the shit out of me.

  • great theme music. one of my faves.

  • IM listening to this untouchable work of genius creating a horror story of my own. wish me luck fellas. cheers......."YOU THOUGH YOU COULD KILL HELENA MARCUS??? HELL IS BEHIND THAT DOOR." cheers... sorry greatgarloo u just had to say it!? lol i see you are as great a fan as i 8D haha

  • This movie is so fucking scary.

  • @GtaRockt

It's the only movie that honest to God, scared the hell out of me. XD

  • @ZeldaFreak1987

    me too.

I love the music which comes when somebody will die shortly.

Had to stop the movie twice and smoke a cigarette, because it scared me so hard xD

  • 0:00- 2:18 awesome

  • To me Argento's work is what a Stanley Kubrick horror flick would be like. They have a methodical, artistic brilliance to them. It's not fast paced, and all action. It puts your mind into a trance-like state. It's no wonder his films weren't aimed at American audiences. Admittedly (being an American), most of us aren't sophisticated enough to appreciate such work. If there wasn't a car chase, explosion, or T&A within the first 5 minutes most would turn it off and say "this sucks".

  • @JunmaiShu I completely love Suspiria, but I'm not sure how "sophisticated" it is. While beautiful & brilliant, it's also pretty much an exercise in style over substance with a muddled plot and zero character development. As for car chases & explosions, the first few minutes contain one of the most sensational murder/action sequences ever committed to film. And Kubrick did make a horror "flick", it's called The Shining and it's much more complex and sophisticated than any number of Euro movies.

  • I see some parallels between The Shining & Suspiria in terms of style. Another movie that was called "all style no substance" was Dark City, and it's one of my favorite films, and one I consider quite sophisticated. So much so that American audiences just weren't ready for it when it was released. I doubt you can disagree that in general American audiences learn toward frivolous entertainment. Just look at the reality TV that's saturated the market... case closed.

  • @JunmaiShu True, there is a lot of stupidity in American pop culture, but the U.S. also produces some of the greatest art in the world. Just look at film in the '70s: Scorsese, Coppola, Friedkin, De Palma, Kubrick, Altman, Malick, Spielberg, etc., etc.- the work of these masters takes a back seat to no one, from anywhere.

  • Yeah, of course I'm not saying it's all garbage. I'd add some obscure ones to that list I think take a backseat to no-one too, but this conversation could go on forever. It just doesn't surprise me that Argento didn't have much faith in the American market and release his films here. And we even got a dumbed down version of Phenomena (Creepers).

I love Altman. Just watched The Player a few weeks ago. Great flick.

  • @JunmaiShu you're right, it's an endless conversation. I didn't mean to get defensive, I just grow tired of encountering the attitude that there's something inherently ugly and mindless about average Americans. But people like me who go around starting arguments on YouTube are really annoying and idiotic.

Yes, The Player is great! McCabe and Mrs. Miller and M*A*S*H are my favorites. Like I said, I love Suspiria but I gotta admit it's the only Argento I've ever seen...

  • Well at least it was an American making the comment, otherwise it'd have been very condescending. My comment was aimed at American audiences, not film makers, of whom I'm sure many would even agree with me. You had the right to be defensive. No harm, no foul I hope.

If you plan on watching the rest of the "Three Mothers" trilogy, you may be disappointed by Inferno. I was. Deep Red & Tenebre are closer to Suspiria in terms of quality, IMO. You should give them a try.

  • I would have joined the wiches convent.I thought the colours are fantastic!!It is a trip!

  • I can not tell you how many times i've been threw the Frankfurt airport. And i also went to the black forrest. I had some rasberry choclate cake. And i bought a coo-coo clock there.I had in laws there. that is how i got to go. I also had the real black forrest ham.I love this movie. I watch it everytime when they show it of fox mo.Joan bennent was beautiful.

  • Aah one of the most misunderstood films that I have seen. As has been said the plot is so simple that people read to much into it. I'll put this one up there with I spit on your grave ( should really be called "day of the woman") in terms of being downright misunderstood. it actually annoys me how marketing takes over and these films get all this hype around them like "don't watch it you won't understand it." I'll take my chances thanks.

  • I wasn't scared.. Honestly, I was confused o-o Someone wanna explain? I liked the deaths though. xD

  • really not scary at all

  • One of the most subtly horrifying musical themes I've ever heard.

  • blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

  • Most beautiful/creative horror song I've ever heard.

  • Suspiria has been moved to the top of your DVD Queue

  • movies now a days have great video quality and effects, but the plot is shit. Back then it was the other way around

  • @deadstrider

To be honest, plot isn't the strongest aspect of Suspiria. To be honest, not a single scene makes sense.

  • @doggyhubertdog the plot makes plenty of sense, a girl goes to a ballet school full of witches that murder their students, they killed the blind man by putting a curse on the dog, and she kills the head witch, what's not to understand?

  • Comment removed

  • @Littl3W1ng Why do the witches appear to want the girl to stay at the academy itself (rather than in the apartment she was in at the beginning of the film), and then just kill her? What's the point? In fact what is the point of the ballet school at all? It's a good film but it's just cobbled together.

  • @Littl3W1ng The dogs actually were changed if you have watched the movie.

  • Thanks for uploading this. It's an amazing piece of music. The film was really well made. So pleased I stumbled across it recently. You can't beat this kind of horror. CGI sometimes just doesn't do the job.

  • Great music on this..

  • One of the creepiest horror soundtracks ever!

  • just watched this for the very first time. brilliant brilliant movie! it's wayyyy underrated! pure genius.

  • Love it ! It's freaky, nightmarish. So brilliant !

  • The worst idea I ever had was watching this movie the first time I had to take the bus home from my evening shift at work...

....I think I ran home from the bus stop that night....

  • @MorbidBliss22 Good for you!

  • One of the best horror movies ever!!

  • raekwon sampled this check it /watch?v=fV4DCj0RySg

  • @mylifesucks98

So now we have a clue why your life sucks 98 times

  • So, Goblin... best soundtrack artist ever, or what? :)

  • when I was listening to this on my computer. My lights flickered on and off the whole time. I went to another song and the flickering stopped. AHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • OHCRAP no one told me there was someone subliminally talking in this tune. first time i listen to it loud, i can hear the guy whispering, sounds, creepy, got no idea what he's saying. Anyone know whats he's actually saying, I hate subliminal messages.

  • It wasnt scary, at least to me. It was interesting, a bit creepy but that really all. But I still love the movie. And this is one of my FAVORITE scary movie theme songs

  • well its cool, but it doesnt freak me like "the shining"'s clacking did...

  • @Zimsbuisnessisdone The movie was trying its hardest to be surreal and almost pulled it off but it feels like there should have been more of the movie. The ending crept up rather quickly and boom two minutes everything is resolved. I was expecting more of a confrontation with the headmistress, villians exposition, etc etc. If the movie wanted to leave questions unanswered it went from surreal to sloppy

  • @articcoyfox Well lucky for you there's a glossy remake on the way. I'm sure you'll find it more than suitable.

  • @sairaus

Oh No please say that is not true.

Nobody except Argento himself could make Suspiria.

  • @Skywalker216 Unfortunately there is a remake. Natalie Portman is playing Suzy. I wish it weren't true, but Hollywood's bottomless chum bucket is out of ideas so they keep redoing stuff that we loved growing up.

    M.K.

  • @the215renaissanceman I highly doubt Natalie Portman would play Suzy in the remake due to Black Swan.

  • @Zimsbuisnessisdone So agree the movie is good but the theme is legendary

  • Terrified !!!

  • i subbed ya .this movie scared the hell out of me when i was a young un .the music is really ahead of its time.

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!

  • YOU WANTED TO KILL ELANA MARCUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!

  • dont listen to this while high, just dont

  • amazing!!!

  • Goblin, goblin, goblin!!!

  • "the american girl! she must die! vanish! VANISH! make her disappear!"

  • Suspiria was such a great movie in its time, most modern horror just plain sucks and this music is fantastic

  • witch witch witch!

  • Best fucking theme next to Halloween.

  • why can't themes be creative like this anymore

  • but what means suspiria?

  • @prioni22 Suspiria means sighs.

  • @onhonho01 thank you, i should have used the Latin dictionary.

  • Remember seeing the commercial for this movie?

At first it was all like:

Me: Excuse me lady can you tell me...(Lady turns around revealing her skull)...AHH....AAAHHHH!!! GET IT AWAY!! GET IT AWAY!!

In terms of creepiness; this is right up there with 'The Shining' theme.

  • look it up

  • knife in your spine

  • a good ass movie somewhat a rollercoaster thrill

  • I like this movie and theme. It's so creepy.

  • This freaked me out the first time I heard it.

It's really pretty in the beginning though. Then it just gets freaky. Though I guess that's how it's supposed to be, since it's the theme for a horror movie.

  • This is unique

  • Wow my very first eargasm lol I loved this movie but what really hooked me on it was the theme

  • This masterpiece deserves 123 489 195 views!!

  • 1 of the best giallos ever ;)

  • Dario Argento is a made fucking genius, the way he puts in the music with scary music.

  • Suspiria is so operatically beautiful, that even the brutality is elegant - lofty, even. Argento really reached his zenith here: this is horror at it's most astoundingly beautiful. The plot is secondary, the characters no more significant than the billowing gel-lit curtains. This is like Alice in ArgentoLand. Absolutely essential, must-see before you perish.

  • Yeah. What many people would call the mundane, meticulous parts are to me what make these films so immersive. The atmosphere's draw you in, and you forget for a moment you're watching a horror movie anymore, and just a work of art, until it freezes your soul with terror again. Similar to Kubrick's work I think. There are many moments in 2001 people might think it's plodding along, but that meticulous flow is what immerses us into the film.

  • i've never seen this but the music makes me think i can't handle it O.O

  • @claireshana do it the old fashioned way buy the CD lol

  • Ok, I found like. Where's the love button?

  • Totally awesome theme.

  • Even the music is terrifying but beautiful

  • if you like this, check out rjd2 weather people. and amazing producer samples this song.

  • Does someone know where I can find the lyrics that the raspy, male-voice in the background is whispering?

  • Love this movie, the theme is a total eargasm

  • I'm bout to get my love arrow out and slap her ass w/ it like cupid.

  • TITTIES

  • I wish this didn't play throughout the whole bloody film!

  • I watched this last night, and it was really good!

One of the best movies i've seen.

In fact it kept me up hours afterwards.

    ...

    ...

the point is I went to sleep at 5 in the morning...

  • The original is on Netflix instant! Go watch.

  • Great soundtrack. Goblin are a remarkable band and very influential. Suspiria is one of my favourite films.

  • Gotta love Goblin. One of the best horror themes right there.

  • TERRIFYING. that film was honestly one of the wierdest films I have ever seen. It was awfully made, bad continuity, bad acting and questionable special effects at the end, but the lighting and the sound made it the scariest film i think i have ever seen, literally had to keep switching it off at points because i was so scared.

  • Cool. My first and last names are Ssssssssssssss's

  • brilliant theme.. Suspiria is candy for eyes and ears

  • @1Bottleneck

Agreed....and in my case it is candy for my heart and my soul. Dario Argento's immaculate masterpiece!

  • lovely shit.

  • I've never seen the movie... but nothing but this music makes me think that it's fucking creepy!

  • @IHasTheRabies4Yaoi Well. Go buy the original version 1977. Not the very bad remake (2009) Sit at home.alone. And trust me. This movie will remain in your head for your entire life. It is not that it is that bloody or gory. Although some scenes are. It is hard to explain. But, trust me. If you watch the original version just once. You will, always at some point in your life , think about it. Yeah. I know. You think i am full of shit. So go rent it or buy it. Then get back to me.

  • @dmvshorebird It's "Il fantastico viaggio del bagarozzo Mark" (The fantastic journey of Mark the cockroach).

  • Hey everyone! I posted a video that has a remix of this theme! Trust me you guys will love it! Please watch and thank you :D The name of the video is "Awesome Suspiria Theme Remix" thanks! XD

  • This is the shit! :O I ADORE IT!

  • Is that a male or female voice?

i mean i know its a witch but it sounds masculine

  • WHO'S THERE????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I read that Natalie Portman was said to star in the re-make.

  • @kivior123 She already has her Suspiria.

  • The best thing about Suspiria is that it's the last film to use the 3-strip Technicolor process.

  • such an awesome track!

  • "Re-make?"

    Of Suspiria?!?!?!

    Please, Don't even mention it.

Talk about a reboot of "Gone With The Wind" instead.

Maybe a reboot of "Citizen Kane" LOL!!!

  • Check out Goblin's album "El Fantastico Viigio del Baggarozzo Mark"

OK! I know! I butchered the spelling. It's in Italian and I don't claim to have a clue.

Still, it's one of the best rock albums of all time.

  • 3:38 dance remix :D

  • Love it! I did a trailer for my short film for Nightmare with this song.

  • So... went to see Black Swan, and in the previews before the movie: Jane Eyre. They put this song in the Jane Eyre preview! Blasphemy!

  • this theme is pretty creepy. Especially when you hear it while walking alone in the woods at night.

  • 3 justin bieber fans missed the like button

  • I really like this for some random reason. Then It goes to the creepy mouthing breathing part, then I hate it.

  • It could be doing with an upgrade in production

  • Simply beautiful film with truly tragic suspenseful deaths. The blind man especially.

And another win from The Goblin......truly one of greatest bands of all time.

  • this is so frightening

  • 333 likes 3 dislikes

    lol

  • You guys could learn how to play this awesome theme on the piano. Just type in "How To Play The Suspiria Theme On The Piano." First vid on top!

  • This track really gets under the skin...sublime.

  • @saunderites Amazing Movie** Corrected for you.

  • @saunderites whoever hates the movie is not a horror fan. everybody loves this movie.

  • @halloweenfriday never got a chance to see it

  • @TheVenom1001 oops im sorry. but if u have a chance to watch it you will think its great. there may be a little bit of flaws but its entertaining to watch

  • @saunderites outcast

  • @saunderites you don't know about horror, you don't know about dario argento, you don't know about suspiria really...do you?

  • Comment removed

  • I love this theme

  • Does anyone else think that phantasm is really similar to this movie?

  • This movie is so fucking awesome :D

  • Few things are as scary as this score.

  • Perhaps they should make a 'Suspiria' video game instead, like what they with 'Ghostbusters'.

  • FANTASTICO SCARY

  • Fantastic!

  • Goblin and John Carpenter, two of the best horror movie music composers ever! You just don't get movie music to compare to the stuff they produced nowadays, especially in horror cinema.

  • this song is good but it is kinda annoying with it playing 80% of the movie lol

  • one of the best soundtracks ever
