virtue moir or davis white? which one is better? virtue moir have more freeze frames in their programs. davis white is more get-go, energetic, shorter freeze frames on lifts. virtue moir is more artistic and davis white is stronger.

Davis/White are not stronger in any way than Virtue/Moir whatever. Davis/White's chalk-and-gravel style is frenetic to the point of sloppiness (Meryl especially) which contributes to poor extension, loss of unison and rough edges.

Everything Davis/White can do, Virtue/Moir does better. Compare V/M's Umbrellas of Cherbourg from 08 to Davis/White's Samson and Delilah from 09. V/M easily superior in carriage, edges, flow, speed, all of the above

but to put it in perspective, davis white doesn't seem to have as much passion as virute moir does. since the PRESS has already 'told' you that virtue and moir are actually dating off ice..... and their ACTING is actually pretty good on the ice to balance out the artistry with their skating...

Virtue/Moir are not having any kind of relationship off-ice, why does that even matter? And yes, Virtue/Moir have a better artistic vision of their programmes than Davis/White (who plummet through required elements w/o considering lines or expression).

Davis/White's skating is like a piece of chalk scraping the gravel sidewalk aimlessly. V/M are like acrylic paints on canvas- not too heavy, not too flimsy, just light and powerful.

Hahah good choice of comparison in favour of Virtue and Moir. I think that Virtue and Moir has really found their chemistry with each other as well as their style of ice dancing, where the romance, love and trust for each other is really there and shows in their artistry. Davis and White tries for stronger and dynamic pieces, but they're not dynamic enough, and they try to portray too polemical stories of famous myths and couples. Something simpler in theme would work better for them, imho.
