  • Cathy: one disclaimer - be honest in your assessment on whether you like your own pitch or not. Sometimes we are so convinced that our product or our approach is sooooo great that we do not want to admit (even to ourselves) that we sound desperate, dishonest or wrong. Be really honest, do that pitch in front of a mirror and if you cannot look yourself in the EYE and like what you hear, change your approach.

  • Awesome revelation. I have seen people with lots of passion but have no clue about marketing make no money and people who dont have any passion but have mastered the marketing skills be at the top of the company. Just image if you had passion and the skill...yikes..watch out

  • NOt all people motivated by the same things Cathy. SOme people make decisions quickly, others slowly. some want a relationship before they buy, others want a transaction and results. Its not about understand 'PEOPLE' its about understanding The Person you are interacting with. It;s not a carte blance formula.
