I agree. But let's not forget that some of the actors are either long gone or no longer kids. So if they have to use different actors and new characters, so be it.
Or have the former kid characters fill the shoes of the adult characters. Dan would take over as station manager, and Kara would take over as engineer, like her grandfather.
Or have whoever's narrating Thomas and Friends today play Mr. Conductor, or just have some of the old stories from early in the T&F series be narrated, anyway, if Ringo is selected again.
I know that George is known more for his hard-edged humor, and I like him as a stand-up comedian... but damn, he's a great kids' show character, isn't he? :-)
Henry's Forest is one of the best episodes in Thomas the Tank Engine!

The beginning of Henry's Forest almost made me cry!With Carlin's gentle voice,and Henry's Forest.It is a very touching story.
