If I may PLEASE ask you a favor. I am having a tough time learning Midnight Rain by Vinnie Moore. I know it's tuned down a half step. If you are not familiar with the tune, you can just do a search on here. If you can help..I would greatly appreciate it immensely. Thank you in advance.
You sir are the best teacher of this song out of all the ones on Youtube. You have broken it down to it's bare basics. Thank you for your time and expertise. Especially for us who have the worst time figuring out what keys songs are in.
@ducky811 Thank you very much! I've been on the road so much lately that I haven't had a chance to post anything new in forever. But I promise I'm working on getting everyone's requests on here!
HA HA! I promise I'm not! I'm just a musician (and a big ole puss!) Ladies seem to like me better as a guitarist than a bully! lol I'm glad the lesson helped you.
Thanks for this video it saved lots of hours trying to figure it out. Also, anyone who wants to learn all the other parts of this song i am currently making lessons (2 are up) on my channel so check it our if you want
I've seen how satch plays it, he does do the stretch thing but I think he plays the 1 st chord on the 6 th string not to dis your lesson because the notes are perfect I just thought I'd say how I saw Joe played it
Yeah, you're right. Thanks for the input! I've seen him do it that way, too! I think I've seen him play this song 3 or 4 different ways, the more I think about it...
Hi pal !the first chord "with 5 frets stretchin " is not quiet easy but i spent about 5 days on it and finally i've been able to play it perfectly ,cos it sounds a litte bit better than the chord with E open, cheers !
I see...well, don't get me wrong, the 5 fret stretch doesn't give me any trouble, I just think that the open strings are brighter. but that really depends on the way a person attacks.
hey ur notes are correct, it doesnt matter if u dont stretch , ur technique makes it easier, just dont do weed before lessons dood.lol..just kidding..
For the most part, I believe they are. The only thing that I think is different is the 1st chord. Instead of 4th and 4th, I think he does his signature funky 5 fret stretch on D & G. I have no idea why he does things like that unless its for show because I just don't believe it is necessary. But, hey, I'm just a no talent idiot who happens to believe that Satch OWNS! LOL
HA HA!! Yes, the twins are busy alright, but its this 4 year old that makes life so rough! LOL
I'd be happy to find some retro stuff for ya! It would be cool watching that old stuff again. To be honest, I haven't seen much of it myself in a coon's age! And I'm almost done with a new CD so, if you'd like, I'll put some of it on as well.
Yo Steve, How about teaching us the rest of the rhythm chords(Part 3). That will be greatly ,vastly, humungously appreciated bro. You're the best unsigned guitar player that i've ever heard. You get the right bunch of fellow, perfect song and wella you're a star. Maybe wait for your kids to grow up to play w/ you ala Van Halen,Ha,ha! More power to you man. Helluvajob!
Awesome, awesome lesson! Great job dude. You can tell that you are a pro. Everything's great, the tone, chords, everything. Thanks for sharing. God Bless!
