I don't understand what the big "whooplah" is all about. I don't listen to Nicki Minaj or anything mainstream for that matter, but does that mean I need to listen to her just to be "in the know" or to be informed? I think JDaVeY conducted themselves in a positive and professional matter; they didn't bash or insult her. They answered genuinely and sincerely. This has nothing to do with respecting her hustle, but everything to do with them just not listening to her music.

It's totally believable that they don't know much about Nicki MInaj. I rarely listen to the radio anymore, so when people ask me about the new hip hop & pop that's out, I answer like "huh? what?" I even used to listen to Nicki, but I have no idea what the bitch is up to at this point. People like J*DaVeY & myself just don't have time to stay in the loop. We're too busy listening to better music.

@DaHotNig I think it's more of them saying that they aren't familiar with her music vs. knowing who she is in general. I remember Jack saying that the Nicki comment before her rap was just a joke because afterall who doesn't know Nicki really. I do get what they are saying because I know who Nicki is, but I've never listened to any of her songs personally to know if I like her or not because I have other artists I pay attention to.

@GirlKidRobot They are the future!!! And have a hell of alot more talent in breaking wind than Nicki Minaj has in one uttering one syllable. At the same time they are not Hip Hop Artists. They take everything from New Wave, Punk, Funk, Hip Hop, Rock and Electronica and make it happen without the help of a major label. And that takes SKILL and TALENT. If I had to compare a Hip Hop Artist I would say MC LYTE, Bahamadia, Jean Grae are all miles above Nicki.
