Property owners should not have to build a wall in the forest to keep idiots like you out if they want to shoot their firearms. This is the only rifle Ive ever shot its a Remington 721 30-.06 and I shot it 3 times at a target, 2 times in the outer ring of a target maybe 6x6inches and 2 times it was in the outer ring but the 3rd time was dead center in the bullseye. Im trying to get a deer but havent even seen one yet.

@OmegaGforce well behind the balloons there was ground, so unless we are talking about a ricochet off a rock, the bullet should have hone in the dirt, and even though the 30-06 is very very powerful (made for 1000+ yards) i do not think it would dig through all this dirt and come out the other side of the road, even if it was merely a hill.
At the price of ammo these days one might not be able to afford a day out shooting with a friend. Right now the cheapest 30-06 is at Walmart going for 15 bucks. That's a box of feds w 20 rnds. Went up a buck this year alone.

@Primecarter A suppressor, it's not called a "silencer" would do you no good on a long range gun. For a suppressor to do it's job the bullet must be subsonic when leaving the end of the muzzle. If it is supersonic, which almost all factory loaded ammo is it will create a sonic boom leaving the muzzle, its that "crack" that you hear. You would need subsonic ammo either specialty or custom loaded and a quality suppressor. and when you do that, your round will drop like a rock off target.
when you have your rifle in it's case, you should really lay it so the scope is near the handle so that if it was to be dropped the rifle wouldn't land on the scope and off set the aim.
.30-06 is one of those rounds that needs to be reloaded to get its true performance. 2900 fps with a 150 grain bullet is not that great. You might as well stay with a .308 Win.

@vachamps The Able target is the bullseye target and black is 12'' in diameter.
The Dog target is the low profile silhouette target and black is 19'' tall and 26'' wide.
The B Mod target is the larger silhouette with black 40'' tall and 20'' wide.
The course of fire:
200 yard line firing at Able
5 sitting, 5 kneeling, 5 standing
200 yard line Dog target 10 rounds rapid fire sitting
300 yard line Able target 5 rounds sitting
300 yard line Dog 10 round rapid fire prone
500 yard line 10 rounds

@TeamJedFitness yeah the 30-30 is great too. I love it, cause it doesn't too much damage to the deer. I recently bought a .246, but that one is too powerful for deer. I shot one at 100 yards with it and it went right through.

good video but thats no 4 hundred yards. thats about 150. if it was actually 400 yards then there would have been more of a delay between shot fired and it hitting the target. its still a cool video

@NorCALREDNECK96 that is closer to 400 yards they are no delay at 150 yards by the time you hear the gunshot the bullet would have already reached the target. cameras also make it look closer than it actually is

you can't hunt in the united states using a silencer. they consider it to be an unfare advantage to the animal.

@Primecarter A suppressor, it's not called a "silencer" would do you no good on a long range gun. For a suppressor to do it's job the bullet must be subsonic when leaving the end of the muzzle. If it is supersonic, which almost all factory loaded ammo is it will create a sonic boom leaving the muzzle, its that "crack" that you hear. You would need subsonic ammo either specialty or custom loaded and a quality suppressor. and when you do that, your round will drop like a rock off target.

when you have your rifle in it's case, you should really lay it so the scope is near the handle so that if it was to be dropped the rifle wouldn't land on the scope and off set the aim.

.30-06 is one of those rounds that needs to be reloaded to get its true performance. 2900 fps with a 150 grain bullet is not that great. You might as well stay with a .308 Win.
