@gladiator3195 NO YOU IDIOT, the CIA supplied the AFGHANS with missiles to withstand the Soviet invasion decades ago, they did not "Supply the TALIBAN with weapons".(The weapons you mentioned are Anti-Helicopter missiles, stinger missiles)

And no, the Taliban are killing soldiers with the weapons they buy themselves with the money they get from the drug trade.

@gladiator3195 i dont know what you mean by that. I forgot to mention the CIA bought back from the taliban all of the Stinger missiles that they had given to them after teh war was over. Some of them they bought back for up to 3 times its original price.

I was in Iraq with 4/2 SBCT. Afghanistan looks pretty hot. Mountain warfare should become a greater focus for Army and Marines. Mission is accomplishable though.
