Second, her quote doesn't tell us anything, Mariah Carey could've said the same twenty years ago and look at her now, that's no proof.. The fact is that the verses (which are supposed to be easier than the chorus) don't sound as flawless, while she supposedly sings the chorus freely and easily EXACTLY like the song.

@jmgomez007 no offence but i have been to university and study music for years now, the verses are in a lower register to the song and the chorus has a re-verb on it to make an echo. Leona has amazing belting abilitys and this is shown in the chorus (which is live). Leona is not very good at lower register but with her head vouice and belting are live , she will always sing live unlike mariah , don't need to compare them darinling :)
